I was very pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Staff were great! Pool and hot tub were nice and unique. Parking was difficult since the hotel was having a Santa frenzy event, but it worked out. The only downfall, i received a Christmas present the morning before our trip, it was a power bank. And i plugged it into the wall. It was small and sleek and i had forgotten about it and checked out with it still in the wall, i called the next day and the staff claimed it wasn't plugged in and it wasn't in the list and found. So a maid must have taken it since no one rented the room the next day. That wouldn't prevent me from staying there again.

I loved the kocstion of this property but hated trying to get a parking space when i csme back at night as the property is shared with a restaurant. Although the food is convenient and tastes exceptional, the lack of designated parking spaces was not.

Megan at the front desk was the best staff person ever! Helpful, friendly, understanding, assisted with all my questions and concern. Housekeeping was good and so was the staff in Ruddy's and at the bar. My husband and I spent 12 days there and other than then the lack of Handicap Parking and the slow, small elevators, it was a great place to stay

This place is such a great find! Roof top bar, nice restaurant, indoor pool and hot tub with serene ambiance, great breakfast, location is near anything you need and a 2mile walk from downtown whitehead lake. My room is delightfully spacious!

We got the pool side room and I’m really glad we did. It made it really convenient with kids. They had tables outside those rooms too to use which was really nice to eat meals. The pool was really warm which I appreciated because pools are always too cold for me. The breakfast had a huge variety and was really good. We will definitely be back!

Good value and location, better than average restaurant on premises. Unfortunately, our check-in on Friday coincided with 2 wedding receptions and peak restaurant activity turning the parking lot into a free for all. Plus, there are only 2 handicapped parking spaces available for guests...

Usually this property is spotless! But this time walls and floors were dirty. My room had a terrible odor and the refrigerator made so much noise I had to turn it off. The shower area had holes in the walls where the floor meets the wall… holes and a couple large cracks. The water coming out was f the shower head was so harsh even after I attempted to turn it down. This time I was very disappointed. I have been there many times before.

Stayed in room 302. Waited 10 mins before the girl showed up to help at front desk. Walls were disgusting and dirty In room. Sheets were yellow and dingy looking. Bathtub was stained didn’t look clean. Room very dated for furniture. Wouldn’t stay here again

We had a double queen room. Overall the stay was comfortable. The shower was tile and the grout needed a scrub, there was buildup and discoloration in the shower and there was some mold on the ceiling. We were only there 2 days so we skipped the shower until we got back home. Good breakfast with a very helpful and friendly attendant there to keep it all clean and stocked. The pool is in the middle with the rooms overlooking it. It was strange to me. I didn't want to be watched by people in their room while we were in the pool, so we skipped that too. It's a nice area, and the staff were all friendly. I would stay again.

This was a very friendly and overall okay facility. My main complaint was that my room had many many bugs. I had a floor may down in front of the shower and after a couple of days it had many many bugs on it. I also noticed many on the top of the ac unit.

The restaurant attached is wonderful. We stayed in the king jacuzzi suite which was very spacious with nice seating area. One complaint the room has a mildew, musty smell.

Nice place but it’s noisy. If you are on the side of the hallway you will have to put up with the noise and pool until at least 11pm. Noise from the hallway is also pretty loud. They must be aware because they give you ear plugs in the dresser. Other than that it’s decent. Breakfast was good and the staff was friendly.

Great staff and love the Holiday Decorations! We also love the restaurant connected Rudy’s Red Eye. We talked with owner & he always wants to know if everything is going well, let him know if we need anything. We like him. We love the pool area & very nice, comfortable rooms! We’ve been here before & will be again!

Friendly staff. Big parking lot. Bustling rooftop bar with people constantly coming & going is an annoyance. Grimy conditions in the room. Room was located on the interior of the property with windows looking into the indoor pool courtyard with no windows looking outside at all, which made for a claustrophobic experience.

We stayed 4 nights during our visit to St Paul for a reunion. The BW has nice size rooms, comfortable and clean. We had 2Queen beds, King rooms were sold out. Nice pool area in center hotel with a Hot tub. Breakfast was excellent, 5 star! The hotel restaurant was good as well. We will stay again

I love everything about staying here except for the reception staff. They are unfriendly, terse, and unprofessional. They do not dress for the part and present like it’s a very low budget hotel which it is not.

I pre-paid for a room with this hotel to provide lodging for guests to a house party. When my guests arrived after the party around 10:30 pm they were told that the hotel had overbooked and didn't have a room for them. The front desk man was very rude to my family. The hotel said they could put them up at another hotel about 25 minutes further away, which was difficult because we were experiencing a snowstorm. The from desk clerk was hostile and wouldn't help them arrange transportation to the other hotel. It took the restaurant manager to come out to help get them to the other hotel. Terrible service, terribly inconvenient and disappointing.

There was so much noise from midnight to 4:30 AM that I did not sleep before having continue my travels and got no response from management. There was also a plate of food on the floor in the hallway from when I checked in at 3PM until I left the next day at 10:30 AM

Excellent stay, and we really appreciated the personal touch and engagement from the owner. We also appreciated your staff, especially since they were working over the Labor Day weekend. I was impressed with your water bottle filler and helpful, free items. If possible, please continue to find vendors and products that don't package using single use plastic. Perhaps there are even more places you could substitute paper cups for plastic cups, for example. Thank you again.

We adored this hotel and wished we could have stayed more than one night here. But it’s super convenient when visiting the Minneapolis area (only half a hour from down town) but nicely tucked away in a quiet lake community. The hotel was so homely, pool and hot tub was great. Breakfast was yummy and they had a great selection of coffee drinks. All complimentary. Lovely rooftop restaurant. And the rooms and bed were so clean and comfy.

Gluten free!!!! Thank you for your efforts to serve those with food allergies!!!!! Breakfast included gluten free bread and several gluten free options. And if course Rudy's Red Eye has a gluten free menu with some wonderful desserts - tried some and so appreciated it!!!

The complimentary breakfast left a lot to be desired, so we opted to grab something from the McDonald’s conveniently located next door. Unfortunately, our mini fridge hadn’t been turned on prior to our arrival, so it had a bit of a smell and wasn’t usable right away. On a much brighter note, Rudy’s was amazing as always! The staff was incredibly kind, and the recent renovations really elevated the space—absolutely beautiful. There’s plenty of parking, and the location is super close to lots of great local spots.
