Coastal Contemporary Charm...Steps to the Sand!

We had a good time at the property but were never able to use the parking space. When we texted the host there was a large vehicle parked behind our spot. They answered back "Bummer" so we parked on the street and moved our car every day. There were large vehicles behind our rental every day. They are doing construction on that rental and there was no way we could have parked in our space. There is also construction going on the east side of the rental with 3 or 4 workers working every day starting early the morning with saws hammers you name it so the outside space was also not used. We also found the rental to be in need of repairs. The upstairs bedroom with the lamp the knob is broken off and one of the nightstands when you open the drawer there is nothing there. The blinds were missing slats and the dryer vent is broken and not useable. It is a good rental and in a great location but not up to the standards of other VRBOs we have stayed at. The lack of parking space, no real assistance from the host and also the every day construction noise from the rental to the east were also unexpected and issues.

Amazing area and beautiful condo

The property was nice and recently remodeled and was very close to the beach. The parking was very tight and would not fit 2 vehicles, but we found public parking within a mile. I stay in a lot of short term rentals when traveling and this was the first time I went into a place that had a used old sponge at the kitchen sink, old rusty/dusty fans in the rooms, and every closet filled with junk. There was a coffee maker, but no coffee to be found, a drawer had spilled syrup. The master suite closet was the worst. We had a lot of bags and I opened the large master closet to store my bags but there was no room due to a paint bucket, varous maintanience items, an old chest of drawers and other misc. items. The upstairs closets were not as bad, but one had two pack n plays inside with one of them being broken. There just seemed to be a lot of unnecessary items using up the guest space. There was a stick vacuum in the master bedroom, so I pulled that out to clean up. It died within 30 seconds. It had a removable battery, but I could not find a cord or charging base anywhere including that nearby master closet filled with junk. Instead I looked for a broom, which I eventually found in the furnace closet (which was also filled with random junk). There was no dustpan, so I used a piece of paper to scoop what I could. Overall, the unit was nice, but not well stocked and had too many items in the way of a truly comfortable stay.

The property is a very short walk away from Mission Beach and the beautiful sand and ocean. Restaurants and bars are within walking distance. We enjoyed the space and the outdoor patio. Expect to hear neighbors if the other unit in the building is occupied.
