Guests were inviting people over the pool area and had a party which went on until midnight with loud music . Food was terrible people were bring dinner and breakfast in from other places. The walls must not be insulated well because everything could be heard in the rooms when the toilet flush, tv , conversations.

Hotel was good. However, Bar/Restaurant personnel needs to be more attentive to customers. After a long trip, I was planning to dine at the hotel restaurant, however, after waiting for some time, I was ignored by the person at the Bar. He didn't even acknowledge my presence. I desired to leave and dine at a local restaurant.

Not used to a Double Tree being average but this one was and felt more like a Hampton Inn. Decided to stay here b/c of location and amenities that hotel offered. What we didn't know was that the bar and the restaurant were both closed...except for breakfast that was a extremely average and cost $17 pp. Room had a nice view of the lake so that was enjoyable. And the room overall was generally comfortable but nothing special.

Rented two rooms. In one of the rooms there were little black bugs on the end table, weird sticky goo on chair and desk and bloody fingerprints on bathroom door. Trash behind the curtain on the floor. Main area was not clean either. Trash on tables, tables with food stuck to them and staff just sitting at the desk talking.

Arrived for our anniversary, room was hot and you could smell weed all the way through the elevator to the hallway in our room. When we got back from dinner we tried to turn the air on and this loud clanging noise started happening and smelled like smoke, we called them and they switched us rooms however the room they switched us to was closer to whoever was smoking weed and i woke up with a headache from the smell of it coming through the vents several times each night. I called down for towels twice but no one ever brought anymore, the towels we had were stained, the furniture had black marks on the sofa that rubbed off on my pants and the side table had a bloody bandaid and sticky substance right by the lamp. 2 lamps did not work. The breakfast we paid extra for we only got one day because everything was cold and we didnt get good service for the first morning, the waiter looked like a kid and didnt even help us when we were inquiring how to do the buffet or get juice. Two other people after us had to get loud and get a manager to help get service. The food was almost out and we got there 2 hours before the buffet ended. Definitely didnt live up to hilton/doubletree standards. Felt more like a 2.5 star hotel.

All good. Two things didn’t work- safe malfunctioning and wouldn’t close with code put in. Secondly, the fridge has a button to be turned on only for two hours. So my food that I left there overnight had to thrown away in the morning. Kinda useless fridge if works only for two hours

I’ve stayed here many times over the last three years and like this hotel overall. The only negative thing is the pillows they use on their beds. They are so small and uncomfortable it’s hard to get a really good night sleep.

I booked this room on Hotels.com for one night and it was paid in full. When I checked in, the guy at the front desk who was completely clueless said I owed another $63.10. I showed him the paid receipt from Hotels.com and he said he would to “investigate” it further and said he would have to escort me up to my room since he couldn’t officially check me in and give me a key. He also had previously charged my card for what he said was the incidentals charge but ended up being $63.10. Finally he just gave me a key after I continued to stand there at 10:30 pm for approx 10-15 minutes and said he would figure it out later. This guy was totally inept and should have not have been working the front desk. I stopped by the front desk when checking out and talked to a manager who assured me the $63.10 was a mistake and would be reversed. We’ll see. Also I paid for a King size bed and got 2 queen size beds on top of all of that

Breakfast experience was terrible. Came at 9:10 am (breakfast until 10:00 am). Ran out of coffee, most of the fruits, juice. Were not happy when asked to bring the missing items. Breakfast manager said she was working alone (which was not true) and did not have time to "take care of everything". Coffee came at 10:00 am, right at the closing time and the charge for such breakfast and service was $17.00

We had a very great stay at this location! We checked in on Thanksgiving in the late evening and there wasn’t a lot of people there. Our room was lovely with a nice patio and lake view. The room was perfect - spacious enough for us to not feel too closed in. Great quiet area and easy access to highways. We went to six flags over texas, did some black friday shopping at grapevine mills and went to a show on saturday night at Silo in Dallas. We will definitely stay here again!
