I traveled solo. This hotel met all my needs. The location is perfect for relaxing and close enough to walkable activities as well The staff is professional and accommodating.i felt safe and comfortable. This will be my go to hotel for a new Orleans vacation. Oh the gym and observation deck is spectacular.

The doors in the room, are not completely sealed so yoy can hear everything and everyone whose talking in the hallways. One night we had to contact the front desk because the housekeeping ladies were shouting and slamming doors at 11:00 pm while they were cleaning some rooms ( at that hour!) and we were trying to sleep. Every morning they would start talking, shouting and slamming doors very early and wake everyone. A few times we had to go to the hallway and kindly ask them to lower their voices. So definitely, the room doors are a problem. The hotel doesn't have a pool or a restaurant. The only "restaurant" they have opens just for breakfast so if you want to have a nice dinner, you must go out. They do have a few things to eat at the bar area and in room dining but no restaurant. The front desk staff was really friendly and helpful, as were the concierge ladies. The view from the lobby (which is in level 11) was beautiful. Overall the hotel is nice, it's very well located, near great restaurants and shops.

I liked the location; but I did not like the shifting on the elevators you have the entrance, then you must go to the 11th floor to check in and after that you need to take a different elevator to get to the rooms.

The garage is very dirty and absolutely needs cleaning. Too dirty for such a quality hotel. I also did not like the "hidden" resort fees and the garage fee, both of which were excessive as was the breakfast charge. Hotel and room were very nice and clean though, but although I booked and paid at reservation, I ended up paying almost $260 more.

Having a third party Parking facility which wasn’t always like this before because when we come to New Orleans, we always reside at Westin without being concerned having to spend over $60/day on parking.

We loved this property! It was nicely centrally located and the staff was amazing and professional. The only draw back was there was no microwave in the room and no pool, other than that the food and staff was great!

what a view of the river looking south down the Miss. and across from algeirs point. room had the same view. New Orleans is one of my favorite places. The people at check in ( car entrance), the actual check in on 11th floor, bell hops all were really friendly and helpful. Adjacent to the French quarter. Walking distance to Jackson square which is in the middle of the quarter. bar near the checkin counter is a great location. It is located above a great shopping area in the building. Mostly high end places. across Canal St. from the Casino, right near the aquarium and the walk along the riverfront. Great location.

Great area to be around and definitely walkable to many places in the French Quarter. Bars and food around the area was enjoyable! The 3 star rating is solely based off of the service we received during our stay from Thursday to Monday. I’m extremely easy going and RARELY complain but the service was lacking compared to everywhere I’ve been. It took us 3 phone calls in 20 minute increments for extra towels. A whole hour for towels. Called the next day because we needed more toilet paper and notified the front that we would like housekeeping done. Came back at night after being out all day to our room in the same state as how we left it. Thankfully, they came back the next morning to clean our room as we left to get breakfast. There are more things to list but I rather not. Would I come back again? I’d consider it because we may have just gotten unlucky with the service. Extra towels, toilet paper, water bottles, and housekeeping should not take 2-3 phone calls while waiting 30 minutes. Housekeeping is understandable but even then we had to wait the next day for them to clean our room because they forgot.

Overall, I’d stay here again. The location is top notch and easy to walk everywhere. The resort fee is actually well worth it if you use it. The beds were as comfortable as ever and the view from my room was amazing. The only thing I hoped for was for more detailed cleaning. There was hair and a gum wrapper (not mine) that were there on day one that was still there upon leaving 4 days later.

Stay and staff was great only complaint is that the room we were assigned had a constant buzzing sound from next door and lasted the entire 4 days that we were there. Also some of the walls had brown stains and the rags to bathe had other human hair on it which was not ours. Other than that it was great and I would stay again.

My fiancée and I stay in your hotel over the weekend. The room was clean and comfortable. Our room is located on the 21st floor which was extremely noisy around midnight. That would be my complaint. We'll most definitely return on our next visit.

Very basic for the price. Noise level is remarkable. Guest doors slam with a bang. There is a cargo train deport right next to the hotel. For reasons unknown trains pass only at night or early in the morning, apparently including weekends. And for some reason blow their horns with a great might. To remedy the situation, the hotel provides guests with foam earplugs rather than installing soundproof windows.

This is a nice hotel overall and very conveniently located. Unfortunately, we dealt with severe water temperature issues most of the week we were there. The water was scalding hot coming out of both taps of the sink and out of the shower. The hotel had us change rooms twice, moving us up to higher and higher floors where there were less temperature issues. They knew there was a problem with the water temperature on lower floors but they still checked us into those lower rooms. To be fair and transparent, they refunded us one night for the inconvenience, but it was extremely frustrating to learn they knew the lower floors had water temperature issues and still placed us there. My son and wife were both almost burned because of the temperature issues.

There was no cold water. The water was extremely hot. We called engineering and they said that was supposed to be fixed. It was not. We were there for a funeral so we couldn’t wait for them to fix it. I am a RN and this could have been extremely dangerous for a diabetic. The water was scalding hot.

An excellent hotel with an expansive view of the Mississippi River. There was a bit of noise, primarily from the doors of other rooms. I wish the doors had dampeners on them. Otherwise this was a most enjoyable stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful, which I appreciated. The AC was very quiet and effective.

It is over a week now and i am still waiting for the call and or acknowledgement from the management after very rude service and racial profiling at the observatory bar. Even at check out the problem was not acknowledged. Safe to say this is not a very safe or welcoming environment for all and sone of the staff are vile. In my case it would be a lady named Brenda. I was given an address to email by a nonchalant front desk staff named Elvie, she provided the staff members name. Unsure if it is even correct. I called Expedia after the encounter as i had zero confidence in the respinse. Expedia was provided with a new address and reassurance that someone in the management team would check in on me. I sent the email to the new address. Still waiting.

Loved the service and staff. Our flight was cancelled the day we were leaving and we had already checked out. I called to try and either get our room back for one more night or another room instead of changing hotels. The Westin staff was wonderful and we came back from the airport to our same room for the night . No problems, no issues. Thank you sooooo much!! Would stay at the Westin again for sure.

I was billed twice for my room. My funds weren’t returned until after my trip. A benefit was mention on behalf of the hotel to return one day in full. As of today that has not happened. This whole experience was poor.

The room was excellent, my issue was the day of my check out I went down to eat breakfast came back to my room and my key was deactivated. I went to the desk had my key reativated as check out wasn't untill 12, went back to my room and the key still didn't work. Waited 7 minutes for s4curity to come up check my ID only to tell me that I wasnt the person listed for that room. Security entered the room where all of my belongings were including my law enforcement credentials and proceed to tell me I should have locked it up. Then Security calls the main desk for them to tell him that I was listed to be in that room. No apology for the issue. I have stayed a several Westin before and this is unacceptable.

The hotel is convenient and within walking distance of the French Quarter and Bourbon street. We could walk to all of the activities we wanted to do. The hotel has room service and says it goes until 11:00, however, we got back to the hotel one night and tried placing an online order at 10:30, it wouldn’t go through online. We went downstairs to order at the bar and by that time they said the kitchen was closed for food and we could only place a drink order. Our only option at that point was to get a few over priced snacks from the gift shop. It was a Sunday night so there were no options along our walking route back from the tour we had just finished. If they are going to cut off ordering of food at 10:30/10:45, they shouldn’t post that room service hours go until 11:00 pm. We also requested housekeeping services for the days we were there. They skipped over our room the second day we were there. While we didn’t leave the hotel room until 10:00, the housekeeping staff was doing the room across the hall when we left. The do not disturb sign was not on the door. We mostly wanted clean towels, which we had to call to the front desk to request.

It took forever to get seated for breakfast at the “Bistro on the Bend”, the only place to get breakfast in the hotel. Once seated, service was slow. However, the short order cook was excellent!

Great stay! Welcoming staff. Beautiful, big and clean rooms! We got upgraded to a river view on the 27th floor. Great AC!!! (NOLA weather in June is no joke) Yeah there is a resort/destination fee but from this they give you half of it as a daily credit to use at the observation bar. Great view of the river on the 11th floor. Bar has attentive staff and good food and drinks. Always stay here in NOLA!

Rooms are nice and clean, good view from the lobby. Don’t order room service. Was given two “food vouchers” but apparently they don’t cover room service… okay. But then the actual breakfast food was inedible, complete waste of food and money.

Perfectly positioned to walk the French quarter. Highly recommend. The food options in this hotel could be better and more varied but overral, it was a great experience. Definitely on the pricey side though.
