Courtyard by Marriott Princeton

Rooms, indoor pool, and gym are very nice.

The ice machine was wasnt working. Other than that a nice place to stay.

The staff were very helpful, dinner choices not good, water machines on floor were out of service.

Upon arriving we asked which ice machine worked as the one by our room was broken. Come to find out they were all broken. Also the fire pit in the courtyard was broken. And our bathtub was broken. It wouldn’t plug to stop the water. The thermostat was also broken in the room. Luckily maintenance was able to fix the part on the tub but why should we have to do that at 9pm when we are trying to bathe and go to bed. Very outdated and needs updated. The beds were super springy sounding and very uncomfortable. Felt almost like sleeping on the floor. My entire family got no sleep. The workers were very kind and polite and this is not their fault, it is on the owners. They need to update the hotel and make improvements. It’s 2023 and for the money we are spending on a hotel, it should feel like home away from home. This felt like we were camping. I am 6 foot 7 and the shower head was spraying me in the stomach. I had to almost take a knee to get water on my head. When I was standing in the shower my head was about 2-3 inches from the ceiling. My wife stayed at the courtyard by Marriott in Savannah GA several years ago and it was the most amazing hotel in the world. I thought the chain would follow suit with the super comfortable beds and updated rooms but I was wrong. I will go back to the courtyard in Savannah. Never again in Princeton. I rate this hotel a 2 overall only because the staff was friendly, helpful and they fixed the bathtub in a timely manner.

The hotel provides very comfortable service. The room is large and clean. The courtyard has enjoyable environment. Besides, they provide excellent breakfast and fitness equipment. The only issue might be close to the highway and not very walkable.

The hotel was ok. Our toilet was clogged when we arrived, and we were given a pump to fix it ourselves. The pool looked dirty all around the edges. It was not the best stay but we survived. I expect more for the price.

Great location and lovely grounds. Austere hallways and Lobby but I liked it!

The elevator was broken

What started out to be a very difficult stay our first night with a loud drunk banging on my door and fighting with his girlfriend so that the police had to be called, the manager Justin handled it so professionally and quickly and kept checking that our stay was good. The hotel staff is very nice, beds and faculties comfortable, AC great, convenient location. Starbucks in lobby is a perk as well as the indoor pool open til 11pm. Only negative is the shredded window shears with 3 ft rips and holes that needs attention .

The first room had a clogged drain. There was no maintenance available so I was moved to a new room. The following morning I woke up to ants all over my $20 box of Crumbl cookies. Marriott offered NOTHING for the inconvenience. I feel as though this deserves some sort of accommodation.

Was an ok hotel, just sleep and leave. Bathroom tub was not that clean and thats a big downer.

Front desk was very nice. Our first room had a strong smell of mold and moisture in it.

Dirty carpet at the hallways. Smells moldy everywhere.

Bath tub in the first room (319) they have us had cracks and pink mildew. 323’s shower pressure was a joke. Major renovations are needed at this property. Big disappointment, this is not what I Except from a Marriott property, maybe Choice Hotels.

We used it as an overnight for an early start into New York and to look round the university. Hotel was immaculate, slightly older but it was the usual Marriott high standard. You do need a car as it is away from Princeton and there is a bit of road noise but that is the only fault, would recommend staying there as it worked for us and the cleanliness was very good.

This courtyard needs a makeover. They had no usb charge ring ports except on the tv. The curtain was filthy the seam on the bed was ripping apart and there was a hair hanging off the towel and then a hair somewhere in the room that ended up on my friend

I recently stayed at the Courtyard Princeton and overall, my experience was disappointing. While the room itself was relatively clean, several issues made my stay less comfortable than expected. The hotel itself felt outdated, and the bathroom was just OK — the shower wasn’t fully functional, and the tub didn’t seem very clean. One of the towels even had spots on it, which I found pretty disgusting. In the room, there was no mailbox, and the bed was missing a quilt, making it feel incomplete and less cozy. Housekeeping was also an issue. There were no bags in the trash cans, and the trash wasn’t picked up during the day while I was out for work. Even after I checked out, no one came to collect any trash or refresh the supplies. I also had to pick up my own towels and request extra sheets, which was inconvenient. Overall, I expected more from a Courtyard by Marriott property. Given how outdated and poorly maintained everything felt, I hope they address these issues for future guests.

Nice enough but showing some age. Tub had rust stains. Much warmer in hallways than in the rooms.

Very loud if you are in the US1 side. If you are a light sleeper do not stay here unless you can be on the opposite side of the hotel

There was actually no breakfast included which I thought there was. And not even coffee offered in the morning. Our toilet ran the entire time we were there. They tried to fix it to no avail. And the air conditioner was very loud and screechy otherwise the hotel was fine.we just probably got a bad room. Everyone there was nice.

I had work to do that night, and i had asked help to fix the internet, otherwisei wouldn'thave insisted on internet. I asked them to change the room so i can watch TV.

There is very comfortable room. I have a balcony with a table and two chair.

This is a Marriott Courtyard, and typical of that line of hotels. The property is well maintained, although the decor and furnishings seem dated (e.g. - few USB ports in rooms). The staff is wonderful -- friendly, helpful, and efficient. One important thing to keep in mind when booking is that rooms facing NJ Route 1 are VERY noisy, even late at night the truck traffic makes sleep impossible. Always ask for a room facing the courtyard.

I found a dead bug on the coffee maker. And we were given only one bottle of water for 2 people. Furniture was looking banged up.

My only comment is this is the 21st century. There needs to be more USB and USB-C ports in a room.

Arrived here late for a single night on the way to NYC. Front desk clerk was friendly and professional. Room is slightly dated but comfy. Incredibly quiet!

This is a very typical facility for a Courtyard Marriott. The rooms are a little worn. Common areas were more updated. Fireplace there with work space. 10 min from Princeton’s campus. Good price.

Young man at the front desk was fantastic. The first room we went to smelled like a cat had sprayed (we brought our dog, so I assume it was a pet room). We went back downstairs and the same man was down there and he was great. He quickly got us a different room and all is good.

Deposit was not returned immediately after checking out. Called several times to follow-up, in the end was told it took seven or ten business days to get the refund. It affected my use of credit cards.

The person at the desk when I checked in was informative and friendly. The person serving food and drinks in the evening was also very pleasant and efficient. The woman serving me breakfast and coffee was also efficient and pleasant. I really enjoy visiting the Princeton Marriott Courtyard!

No staff available at the desk at 7:30 am, the peak time of guests checking out. As a guest at the hotel, we were told at the check in time the internet access is free of charge. How, we have received a bill showing we are charged $4.95 a day.

Close and easy drive to Princeton campus. Briana checked us in and was helpful, delightful and made us feel very welcome. Room was fine and we appreciated the free water and room coffee.

Nice hotel and great location. A bit pricy, but really nice to be able to go for my run in the morning and find the D&R Canal Trail just a couple of hundred yards from the front door. I was about halfway through a week long road trip, and the comfort of the bed was very welcome after so many hours in my car and at less expensive hotels.

The hotel staff were super friendly, efficient, and helpful. My room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was very good! Please be aware that if you purchase with breakfast included, specialty Starbucks coffees such as cappuccinos are extra. Only drip coffee is included. This said, I had the breakfast bowl and it was great.

Overall a nice place to stay in Princeton, no complementary breakfast, but you can buy breakfast if you want.

Needs to have a better restaurant on site

Very disappointed and inconvenienced the restaurant is closed on weekends and we weren't notified beforehand in aminety listing.

While the room and property were decent, there were very few amenities included. For the price I paid for the room, you’d think they could have included a small breakfast instead of making you purchase it. Staff was super friendly.

Housekeeping personelle were great. But the room felt like it needed some updating and the flush cause some problems (the staff dealt with it immediately) there was no breakfast, at night I kept on waking up when people got in and out of their rooms since there was no insulation! No breakfast only coffee
