Wingate by Wyndham Bridgeport Clarksburg

The rooms are run down with wallpaper coming off the walls. Carpet is well worn. There were many areas with rust.

We were very disappointed with the cleanliness of this hotel, the staff, and the breakfast. We checked in at 1 am after driving 6 hours from PA. We requested a handicapped accessible room, which we got. The room looked okay until I walked into the bathroom. The tile floor had dried urine all over it, like someone didn't bother to use the toilet! Granted, there were clean towels available, which I ended up putting all over the floor so we wouldn't walk on the urine. It boggles my mind how housekeeping did not bother to clean this room before we checked in!! I was not about to trouble the young lady at the desk at 1 am to switch our room since we were leaving in the morning. We were tired and just wanted to sleep. The bed appeared to have fresh linens ( or so I hoped ) I was so upset, I barely slept hoping there were no bugs in the room! In the morning, we quickly showered, again, trying to not walk on the floor!! To add insult to injury, the breakfast buffet was a mess and looked like it was from the day before. When we turned in the key, no one was at the desk. Several staff members were in the office chatting. I never leave these types of reviews, but I was very disappointed in the quality of this property. We travel several times a year to Kentucky, and find Bridgeport/Clarksburg a perfect half way point. Needless to say, we will not stay at Wingate in the future!

Easy check in and out. Clean room and general areas. Pretty good breakfast choices. Room was too close to elevator so noisy. Sufficient free parking. Had to keep bathroom door closed as constant noise. One of three pillows on my bed smelled like b. o. but others and bed comfortable. The dining options very limited nearby.Have stayed before and will again.

This is a hotel that needs some massive tlc. The wallpaper was coming off of the walls. The carpet was taped together at the threshold. The sheets didn’t fit the bed leaving exposed mattress. The furniture had been chewed by a dog. The paint on the walls and doors was in need of a new pant job. While the lady serving breakfast went out of her way, that area needed a facelift. We had stayed here when it first opened. What a sad difference. We will not be staying in a Wyndham again.
