Overall, a helpful location and close to many shops and cafes. Struggled with the ability to use hotel wi-fi and that was a mess. This was a surprise since the hotel seems to cater to business travelers and didn't expect that problem. It seemed like a common problem that they deal with since staff had a variety of ways to troubleshoot. Air conditioner was broke in the fitness center so that was unavailable.

This is a clean and well maintained hotel. It has a bistro type restaurant and bar and the food is good though a bit generic. Marketplace is medium sized though prices are of course high. The courtyard is nice but be sure to get a room facing it and not the highway. The main downside is this obnoxious thing hotels are doing in CA since the pandemic, namely, not cleaning the room every day. Come on people that was 2-3 years ago. Spend the money and hire some staff.

We had booked a corner room with a double pull out sofa bed and specifically selected the room for 4 people. Upon check in they gave us a room with a single pull out sofa bed, and the room was designed for three people. They moved us to a smaller room with two queen beds instead of the suite which we had paid for. The hotel has minimum amenities, and would not provide additional sugar/creamer packets or even coffee. They have no coffee in the lobby, no continental breakfast or any complementary refreshments, no housekeeping unless you specifically ask for, and even then, they did not provide cleaning when we asked for it. If you forget a toothbrush, you can 'buy' one from the front desk. They have the worst customer service of any hotel we have stayed at. The room they moved us to had minimal storage. There was a two-drawer tiny dresser, if one can call it that. Expedia did a really poor job of providing a room with our specifications. This hotel is difficult to access due to its location among a bunch of bank buildings and where it's situated. They have one car charger but we could never access it. Skip this hotel if you can help it. A Hilton would be a better choice.

I would never stay in this hotel ever again! i wouldn’t even pay 100$ to stay here. First of all i had to look for the person that was at customer service to check me in because she was nowhere near sight. On top of that she was not helpful at all, we had luggage and asked for a cart to carry our luggage she said they had none at the moment.. ok weird. We had to ask her where to park, how to get to our room .. and etc, Our room was in the 2nd floor, we get to 2nd floor and guess what? Our room wasn’t there!!! i called customer service and asked where our room was ? she says “oh theirs a twist so you have to come back to the first floor exit the building and go to the second building and go up the stairs, “thats where your room will be at” mind you , that building had no elevator !!!!! we had to carry our luggage go up and go back down because their was no elevator! Ok we are in our room settled down ready to go to sleep, their was non stop barking i called the front desk and asked them if they can tell whoever dogs they were to keep it low since it was 12 am and we were trying to sleep. She says “oh those dogs are from the house in the back of the hotel we cant do anything about it” Overall, save your money your better off at a Motel 6. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, worst courtyard marriott Ive stayed at.

Loved the location, very convenient to shopping by short drive. Parking lot had damage where we parked and was a tripping hazard. Jacuzzi and pool area were clean. King bed was old and uncomfortable. Room was pleasant. Very tight fit to get in and out of the bathroom as the door only had about 1 inch of clearance to the commode. The sight needs an upgrade. It is decently maintained, but is starting to show its age on the rusted fence hinges at the exterior gates. Lobby is updated, but didn't compensate for the lack luster in the room.

The room was perfect. Very comfortable and clean. The only complaint I have is that the pool was full of debris from the trees. The other complaint is that there was a group of teenagers from some kind of sport team on the same floor and there was no adults for supervision. They were up after 10:00pm knocking on each other’s doors running down the hall making noise slamming the doors. We called the front desk twice to ask if someone could come and ask them to stop, but no one ever did. It was 2:00am and I finally had to pound on the adjoining door and tell them to shut up because of the yelling and shouting. We didn’t get a good nights sleep. They should have put them all on the same floor with a few Adults for supervision. In the morning when we checked out there were others coming in to the elevator from the 2nd floor but again did not see any adults with them. We had a horrible night due to all the noise from them and not happy that the front desk didn’t address the problem after we called them twice telling them what was going on.

Chose this property because of electric car charging capability…but couldn’t charge my car because someone else left their car with charger for 12 hours. Hotel needs additional chargers…or a policy regarding a time limit. This was a rapid charger, so the other car should have been able to fully charge within 1-2 hours. This other guest greatly inconvenienced me.

There were ants all over my room, and a variety of other bugs. I stayed one night and had to cancel the second night. I was really expecting more out of this stay because I love courtyard by Marriott! The price for one night was also insanely high…I traveled all through California and this was probably the most expensive hotel for the worst experience..

Great location near retail. Hotel is adjacent to freeway but not directly next to it which results little to no noise and or direct traffic out of parking lot Room was fantastic . Large and spotless . Wonderfull hotel and will definitely return

Ice outside areas. Great lobby. Breakfast and Dinner are a bit pricy but was well prepared. The room is clean. However, the shower has some mildew and the air conditioner was loud. Would stay again for the right price. Not worth more than 150 a night.

The sofa bed on Suite King is twin. Four people should able to sleep in the room but it’s impossible to sleep 2 in twin bed. Room is so expensive but so small for the price.

Clean and smelled nice when I entered my room. Staff was very nice and friendly. Bed was a little firm but not too bad. Lots of pillow options! Nice chair/love seat. Cute little balcony.

Honestly, it was horrible. We were there for 1 night, and when we got back to our room and got in bed at 11pm, we realized that the motion sensor light by the door was broken. Broken in the ON position. We called the front desk and they assured us that it would turn off after no motion, but it did not. It was too late and we were too tired to pack up and move rooms (which they did NOT offer anyway). The bright light stayed on all night and severely impacted our sleep. Additionally, the air conditioning was loud (which is common in hotels now) but it made a rattling sound that was SO loud. It would turn on for 5 min and then off for 10 min, and that kept us up. I reached out to the hotel after our stay to give them the opportunity to make it right before writing this review, and I was never contacted. I would never stay at this hotel again, and do not recommend it to anyone.

I would never stay in this hotel ever again! i wouldn’t even pay 100$ to stay here. We were very disappointed in this property! Marriott has has always had a good reputation in our minds and we expected even more from their Bonvoy properties, sadly missed by a long shot. The reception clerk was the and that was about all! We had more of a positive interaction with the housekeeper when we asked to have towels replaced, she did that and emptied a trash can as well. The room decor is dated, our room could have used better cleaning. Dining was very limited and very expensive. We have stayed at other company’s properties in Oxnard in the past - less expensive, cleaner, better staffed and complimentary breakfast as well! It was near the family we were visiting - a positive, but the other places we have stayed were too! Definitely not worth th almost $700 we paid for two nights. Hopefully the City does not send someone around to look at the wiring!

The food snd snack options are incredibly expensive. I needed help getting my membership points collected it should of just been handled by staff. Save me the hassle as I’m a weekly visitor working in the area. Multiple repeat customer. Yes, I expect better service.
