The hotel was very nice and had a great breakfast but the outdoor pool was closed, assuming it was from the storm but nothing was posted online, I would have moved venues since I have 2 kids. I have joint issues and need to exercise before the day gets started and the fitness center was closed 2 days of my 3 day stay, again, if it was on their website before my visit I would have booked another place.

Staff was very helpful. Room was nice enough furniture needed replaced couch was peeling. Bed was ok and we found extra blanket in closet. Location was great right in the beach. Dog park on property very convient. Breakfast area was cheery, clean and well stocked.

It was nice as far as the location and the beach being in such close proximity. But I guess that’s all you’re paying for when you stay here cause the room was not very clean I got a suite with a kitchen and all but the kitchen floor was sticky and a lot of the surfaces were sticky. There was hair all over the room. The breakfast room was very small and each morning it’s filled to capacity. There was a lot of structural damage to the room. And the front desk staff specifically were all over the place I worked front desk at a hotel for many years and I was appalled at how I was handled they were arguing with one another In front of guests and they were very impatient. My family and I were determined to have a good vacation so thank goodness I didn’t base my trip solely on my experience at this hotel or else we would’ve had an awful time but you get what you pay for and this was all we could afford. The pool was a great addition and it was very nice.

We got a last-minute stay here near the July 4 holiday when we had to cancel our Vrbo booking due to cleanliness/HVAC issues. The first room we stayed in at this hotel had a broken bathroom fan and the carpet was very wet due to leaks in some areas; the management staff was very responsive in addressing these issues when we raised them and moved us to a different room almost immediately. The hotel in general seemed in okay condition; the room was comfortable enough for us and our teenage daughter to stay for a few nights and the staff were helpful. The A/C worked well in each room and it was nice having a kitchen (though small and not well stocked) to cook food together. It’s right on the beach which was nice for taking walks or enjoying the ocean, and the pool/patio areas were usually pretty popular. Parking can get busy due to daytime beach access despite the hotel using parking permits but there is an overflow lot so we had no issues there. We wore ear plugs most nights as the walls were pretty thin and every room was packed during the holiday. The laundry room was clean and the machines were in great condition; it was really nice to be able to do laundry even if for a small fee! The free breakfast room was packed most mornings and the food looked decent, though we usually cooked in our room. The fitness room is small but the machines were in good shape. Overall I don’t think I’d stay here again given other choices but it was comfortable enough for our last-minute needs.

We've been back here every summer for 8 years. The beach is quiet and surounded by nature, the pool is tidy and good for families and the complimentary breakfast is great. If you are particular about your bedding, I recommend bringing your own blanket, it's very limited. And if you have food allergies, the breakfast offerings can be limited (especially wheat allergy) though that is pretty standard for basic hotel breakfast.

Our overall experience was pretty good. The room was clean plenty of room. Staff was great. However, the parking was crazy. People were parking without parking permit and if you came back to your room at night from going out, a few times their was not any available parking. We did bring it to the office staff attention that, there were several cars in the parking lot without parking passes, not allowing the ones that were paid customers there to park

The property was on the beach. Breakfast was great and Christina holds that kitchen down! It was quiet and safe. I will be back again. Potty area for the dogs was the best I have seen.

If you just want somewhere to stay and have ridiculously close access to a not crowded beach as well as a pool, this is the place for you. We had a suite which had 2 different bed rooms, one had a kitchenette (no utensils, plates, or cookware fyi), and the other had the bathroom. They were recently renovated and did not have any carpet. Our room was pet friendly and they have an outdoor fenced in pet area. Apparently the rooms in th tower with balconies had carpet still which was gross with the sand and whatnot (heard from another person staying at the hotel there). Breakfast was a normal hotel breakfast but well stocked even though people took plates upon plates of food out of the dining area to their rooms. The lobby had a coffee machine which had better and stronger coffee ans even did espresso drinks. We never used room service or cleaning of our room because of our dog so can't comment there. We would definitely come back. Can't beat the access and rooms for the price.

The hotel was overpriced for what you get. Pool was out of commission. People kind of blocked the pet gate and access to the beach close to the gated pet area with I guess some storm chaser equipment. Construction was going on everywhere so it was very noisy. Dropped something behind the dryer and went to reach for it and got shocked, got what I dropped, but got shocked and the dryer stopped working. When we booked our stay it said it had a hot tub, but there wasn’t one and the pool wasn’t up and running. Then our last day there the free breakfast there was hair in the eggs and the woman that served it was in the office like room hiding behind the door on her phone. Overall just very dissatisfied with this place for 6 nights it was so overpriced

Room was filthy. Balls of hair like dust bunnies. Brand new white socks dirty after walking on the floor for 5 mins.Tub faucet would not stop dripping loudly, making it difficult to sleep. Splattered food on the blinds and on a picture. Hair in the fridge and on top of the stove. Room was a suite with fridge, freezer, stove and microwave but there was nothing to eat with or cook with in the room. Coffee maker was broken, missing a part. The facility tried to address this by fixing it, but it was a moot point because there weren’t any more pods for the coffee maker. The wifi finally connected to their service and it had no internet connection so we couldn’t use our devices. I informed the property of these issues during my stay and at check out. The woman who checked out and took my complaint was very nice- most friendly staff person there. She called me after I left and offered me to sign up for BestWestern rewards and she would comp me some points. I declined this as there is no way I am going to visit a best western again. I have pictures and video documenting all of these claims. I could have dealt with the lack of wifi and broken coffee maker if the room had been clean. There is nothing worse than getting out of the shower and needing to put on flip flops bc the floor is too dirty to step on. had to wash my room.

The room smelled BADLY AND STRONGLY of mildew.The carpet felt damp-we checked in later in the evening and the next morning our clothes we had removed from bags and hung were damp feeling. The sofa appeared to be at least 20 plus years and did NOT appear clean. Everything in the room appeared outdated. We stayed there 5 years ago when my son was stationed in Norfolk and it was a dump then....but we were excited when we saw that Best Western had taken over and the pictures looked nice. Without a doubt the mildew smell and dampness was the worst since we were attending our sons pinning to Chief in the US Navy...it may have been my imagination but I kept spraying perfume on myself because i could smell the damp mildew smell. My daughter and her family stayed there also and same complaint....wet/damp and strong mildew smell.

Property location was perfect, beach access right outside of motel. This bayside beach is not busy and low rise tides so perfect if you don’t want to be around a huge crowd. The front desk staff was so kind. I was able to text the front desk while still being on the beach asking them to bring towels to the room which was so convenient. The motel also offers free breakfast ( cereal, toast, baked goods, coffee, waffles, etc ) which is very nice not spending money on going out to breakfast every day. The room itself was dirty, when we arrived the carpet was dirty with crumbs and sand all over & carpet was pulled up in areas. The desk & chair in the room had crumbs all over. The bed itself was clean though, checked thoroughly for bed bugs and none to be found. Every time we used the shower ( yes the fan was on ) the fire alarm went off which was a bit concerning. Overall the location is perfect the stay would have been better if room was throughly cleaned.

The bed itself was clean though, checked thoroughly for bed bugs and none to be found. Every time we used the shower ( yes the fan was on ) the fire alarm went off which was a bit concerning. Property was clean, stuff friendly and helpful, nice flowers and plants around, beautiful waterfall in the corner. AC was too noisy as well as fan in the bathroom. Rooms with dogs ( barking when you want to rest) should be in a specific area.

The location of this property being on the shore of the Chesapeake Bay and the view from our room balcony was the best. We enjoyed sitting out there and just taking it all in. A downside to that was our neighbors enjoyed relaxing on their balcony with marijuana and it was a little much at times (even though the property is 100% smoke free). The room was clean and comfortable (the floor could've been a little cleaner) and had a separate area for the fridge, microwave and coffee maker which I liked. We stayed 3 nights but only had housekeeping stop in one day and switch out some towels - we didn't have a door hanger in our room and I didn't call to request service so not a big deal. The daily breakfast is wonderful! Different egg and meat choice each day, waffles, cereal, breads, yogurt, fruit, juices and some good hot coffee. We definitely enjoyed the breakfast! This hotel is older but its in a beachfront spot, is clean with a great breakfast and a friendly and helpful staff - I would definitely stay again.

I never found the breakfast room. First night i had a hot shower. The next shower ibhad no hot water. Was hot at the spout but as soon as i pulled the button for shower it went cold. People above took a shower and you cluld hear water dripping. I found a puddle forming from water coming from under the kick board of bathroom. Right below where it was dripping. The $30 per pet PER NIGHT was ridiculous. I was travelling with 2. I can see a fee but refund at least half when staying for longer than a night!! I was there for 4 nights! The fees DOUBLED my price to stay!!

Hotel was easy to locate and very friendly staff. Christine and the other kitchen staff were great and the breakfast was very good. Coffee was excellant and a clean place to eat. We asked for an early check-in because we were here to attend a funeral.We were told that we would receive a text message when I room was ready. So not only was our request not honored but we were given our room after 400 pm (have proof of when we received the text) We used a service rest room to change and leave for the funeral / viewing. When we did come back and tried to check in later on that night the night clerk was no where to be found. Myself and another guest had to stand out in the rain till she suddenly decided to show up a good 20 - 30 minutes later. When we went to our room the cleaning crew had used the restroom and had left it un-flushed. We were in room 216. The bed closer to the door has a broken or really bad spring. All in all this was NOT the best of experiences that I have had with a chain that I would other wise trust - like the Best Western.

Loved our stay! The perfect place to take our granddaughters for a mini vacation. Only issue really was going for the breakfast. One of the ladies there was rude. Our dog enjoyed running around after the long road trip. Breakfast was fine, with several choices, par for the course. The area surrounding the hotel is not that great, but we felt safe. The place was easy to find and the location was convenient for us.

This property needs a lot of maintenance. When I booked, I didn't realize it was so far from Atlantic Avenue and the Boardwalk. I will not be returning to this area. Beach access was a bear to trod down to. Our view of the ocean was blocked by the dunes. Not exactly what I expected and very, very disappointed.

For a hotel at a cheaper rate, it wasn't bad by any means. But it certainly did cause me to wonder if I should have spent a few extra bucks to be in a more touristy area. It was very residential. And it felt like everything was 30 minutes or more away. The whole city felt very spread out.

The staff were friendly, the location and room view were right on the beach and close to many dining options. I didn’t like that the floors in our room were dirty and I let the staff know and asked if it could be swept and mopped again they said they would but it didn’t appear it was done when we came back to room. The complimentary breakfast was cold and the room didn’t have enough siting space.

I had my concerns about this hotel due to its age and location, knowing this was a high tourist area due to the proximity of the shoreline, but I was pleasantly surprised that this place is a good stay, both because of staff, condition of facility, amenities and location, cant beat a 50ft walk to the shoreline to dip your toes. Great place if you can find a room.

Breakfast accommodations were yummy. And I Absolutely loved the staff!! Every person i encountered was happy and helpful. This will be my new vacation spot and will definitely be back next year!!
