Our suite was spacious, elegant, and thoughtfully designed, offering a breathtaking view of the river. A unique hotel, with excellent, but also some very odd features. Firstly, the location is great, with a big pool area overrlooking the Nile. Very good housekeeping, beds and the sheer size of the suites is amazing (I guess 150 square metres). Bathrooms are clean and functional, with good amenities, but they are very old, and really need a facelift. What we were not prepared for was the style of the old Russian «politburo»-architecture with furnishings and strange adjacent boiler rooms etc., but if you come prepared, I guess this could give nice «John le Carré»-vibes … All in all, very good value for money.

Too old hotel. It was interesting to see. It must be a great place long time ago but with no renovation, facilities go down. Staff was nice but time to renovate. Maybe it is the case for entire Cairo. View from the balcony was great. Breakfast was fine.
