What guests think

AI-generated summary based on recent guest reviews

Aynetree Guest House earns praise for clean, renovated rooms and convenient bus links into Edinburgh, but reviews repeatedly note small layouts, thin walls, limited onsite parking, ongoing construction, basic self-serve breakfast, and minimal staff presence with occasionally tricky check-in.

Room number 15 - double room, en suite. Likes: - Bus stops in both directions located within a few metres away. - "Help yourself" to complimentary teas and coffees and Biscoff biscuits located in the hallway. - Pressure of shower: just OK. Dislikes: - Called the receptionist just minutes prior to arrival, only to be told they "do not have any record of that guest name with any booking", but funnily enough, after the receptionist asked us to "verify which website we used to make our booking", the guest name miraculously appeared within seconds! What an awful start to the stay!!! - Room was too small. I'd say it was approximately 15 sq. ft. - No change of fresh towels. - No housekeeping services. - No fans or air conditioning. - No soundproofing. Could hear the upstairs guests talking and laughing from their room in the middle of the night. Could also hear the noise of busy traffic on the main road from early morning. Less traffic noise in the evening. - Only sufficient parking spaces for 3 cars to "freely go in and out" without getting boxed in and/or scratched, despite their misleading "parked 6 cars" in their website car park photographs.

The owner Sharban was just lovely. My room was clean and the bathroom was very modern. Parking onsite was a bonus!
