Daily parking fee of $12 is terrible. Feds are going after businesses that tack on hidden/unnecessary fees. I got stonewalled when I complained that it allowed the hotel to advertise cheaper room rates than actual. Further, front desk wasn't aware of this sign, posted prominently by the elevators: "Our goal is to make your stay better and brighter. If something isn't just the way you like it, simply let any hotel team member know, and we will make is right. Guaranteed." Well, that pledge is bogus. Guess I won't be staying at any Hilton Garden Inn in the future. Caveat emptor.

Beautiful property. 39 Bistro and bar has amazing dishes and drinks, the old fashion is one of the best. The Shrimp Linguini Alfredo is a must try

Its a nice property, but they charge for things a hotel in this class often provides free. No free breakfast and no free parking. Granted, its San Diego. VERY friendly lady at the front desk check during check in made us feel welcome right away. The AC in the fitness center was out or wasn't on so it was very uncomfortable.

As with all Hilton garden inn's the front foyer and reception area is great. Elevators were old and rickety. The carpets needed some work. Room did not have ample lighting. Front desk says housekeeping is only every other day while checking in, not while booking. Then breakfast is a cafe which has some pricey options.

Nice, clean room. Hotel in great condition. Only bad surprise was the $12 fee for parking in their uncrowned suburban parking lot. Hotels.com missed that one among the fees. Hate those junk fees!

Room 102 was right action as f on the deli and it was loud outside our room from 7am on… shower head dripped constantly and could be heard through the room… sink did not drain. Pool was small and closed for cleaning and repair… otherwise the staff and bar was friendly!

Good quality for the price. Perfect for business travel. Spa and all but one ice machine were out of order. That was the only downside. On-site restaraunt and bar are nice and you dont normally find that at this price point. Would stay again.

When we checked in, the front desk staff failed to mention to us that room cleaning service was by request only, so when we returned to hotel room the next evening, the room was not cleaned. We called the front desk to inquire, and requested cleaning service for the next day. When we returned to the room the next evening, the room was STILL not cleaned. We called the front desk to complain, and was promised that the hotel manager would meet with us the next morning when we check out and make things right. When we went to front desk to check out the next morning, so manager was present, and the staff told us that since we booked the room through Expedia, there was nothing they could do for us. It was an extremely frustrating experience.

Always try to stay at a Hilton but this one is old and smells of mold. The front desk sent someone to room to purify the air said it wold take 1 hr, so we stayed at the bar/restaurant for 3 hrs, go to our room and it was filled with white powder, burned my throat, had to request room change, beds are old, tub had hair from previous tenant. Food was good though. Wouldn't stay there again. The price for the room doesn't match the quality of the room. This Hilton needs a refresh. Badly. Two other families experienced the same mold smell in their rooms.

The majority of the Staff were either inexperienced or unmotivated to assist me as a guest. Information they provided was in accurate. The lobby of the facility was unclean and smelled nasty. There were unclean dishes still collected on a table and around the lobby on the morning from a "Pizza Party" the NIGHT Before! Elevators had food and trash on the Floor. Very unpleased with this Hilton experience.

We checked out early after one night stay here due to the conditions of the facility. The hallway smelled of dirty diapers, the beds were beyond uncomfortable and the pillows were terrible. The front lobby was filled with several children running around playing “football” with a stuffed animal to which we could not even access the elevator. Very disappointing all around.

This was a very affordable and very nice place to stay within close driving distance to San Diego downtown and a lot of the places we wanted to go but not in a crowded area. It was very easy to park and get to not a lot of traffic nearby so it was very relaxing. Also Having a Tesla, there was a supercharger about a mile away, which was super convenient every morning. I would charge while my wife got ready. It was a very clean hotel and we loved the free coffee and tea bar downstairs. They had a very convenient restaurant and bar and breakfast place on site. The only thing that could’ve been better is the sink didn’t drain very well and the shower curtain wasn’t wide enough or wouldn’t stay open all the way due to the curved tub and it was hard not to get water on the floor everywhere. We upgraded for a balcony, but there is no view. You’re just looking at a wall so we didn’t even use it unfortunately.

The hotel is a bit tired. It could use a refresher. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. We had an issue with the thermostat but after a few hours it got resolved. The staff is very friendly and very helpful especially Ms. Linda she was very pleasant and couldn’t do enough for us.

I liked that it was easy to get to. Staff seemed nice. But here are the things I did not like 1. The staff assigned us to an already occupied room. We had to go all the way down to have that corrected. 2. Front desk did not always have a person to help us. We had to wait for 10 mins at time to have some one show up. 3. Toilet had a loose valve, Water kept filling up in the WC. It made a lot of noise. 4. Faucet in the bathtub was not tight enough, water was leaking no matter how tight I screwed it up. 5. There was a banging noise all night which made it hard for me to sleep 6. The staff did not ask me if I had Hilton Honors membership. It's a basic courtesy. I have a membership.

You may have a better stay than I did. Most of my stay was great, Ms. Tina was amazing and the deli was super cute and the staff was nice. However, there was a male night staff person that made me feel uncomfortable with the manner in which he spoke to me as a guest. It was unprovoked, unwarranted and unnecessary. Lastly, the premises although nice aren’t always secured at night, there was a back door that was left unlocked my entire stay of four days. Keycard or not you could enter as you pleased and I was dismissed when I brought this to the front desk’s attention. As a frequent solo business traveler, this had me a little on edge and eager to get back home even quicker.

I left a friend in my room while I went to a business meeting . The keycards for the room were disabled while I was gone leaving my friend locked out of the room in a swimsuit. The concierge made no attempt to resolve the issue, and just told my guest to wait in the lobby in a wet swimsuit until I returned. They did not attempt to contact me or to even make my guest comfortable in any way. I was livid.

When we checked in the front desk agent was friendly and nice and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. I mentioned to her that we were going to have dinner at Ruth's Chris, Steak House, and she recommended a restaurant in Del Mar, that was near the racetrack that had a nice view, and we decided to take her advice, and we ended up having a wonderful seafood meal with great service and a nice view.

Really good place to stay. Close to many restaurants and services and Del Mar racetrack. No complimentary breakfast, but there is a restaurant attached to the lobby. Great coffee in the a.m. right near the front door.

Restaurant was closed unexpectedly. Did not have local tv channels. Was charged $12.00 for parking and was not advised at check in. When asked to reverse the $12.00 charge, the manager told me that it was on their web page and the email I received from Hotels.com/Expedia. It is not on that email from Hotels.com. In the future the hotel should post a sign at check in that there is a charge for parking. I found out at check out, too late to object or stay elsewhere that night.
