Quality Inn w2as perfect location for a marathon runner. Hot tub was a great addition after the race. Staff was very pleasant & helpful. Knew there was no elevator and had called to try to get 1st floor but upon arrival couldn't but taking steps slowly I managed and husband did most small trips. If we could guarantee 1st floor we would stay again.

There is no elevator. I walk with a cane and steps are very tricky. When we found there was no elevator asked for a ground floor room. Was told because I booked thru Expedia that they wouldn’t help me. I managed up and down no problem. Room was clean. Bathroom small. Older property that has been rehabbed. Because of the elevator I won’t stay there again. Wonder if they meet ADA standards. They probabily don’t care. Weird you needed a parking pass also.

Was a nice affordable stay. The only thing I would say needs improvement is the pool and hot tub. Paint peeling isn’t a great look. But the beds are comfy, coffee and breakfast are great. And the hospitality was great as well.

Breakfast was fine. It was your normal continental breakfast. The staff was very friendly and professional. The room was not as clean as I would have preferred. The floor was did not appear to have been cleaned very well especially under the bedside chair and there was some hairs on the side of the bath tub. The pool was nice/clean but the hot tub…it just appears to need replaced/repaired.

Only 1 guy running breakfast and he was getting swamped but kept a great attitude and big smile on his face when we’d ask for something or talk to him. Gym has a weight machine! Only down side was the hot tub looked like dirty water

Everything was clean and quiet. There is a sidewalk (with a few steps) connecting the parking lot to the adjoining Bob Evan's parking lot, and there are many other restaurants, grocery stores, a walmart, and other businesses all within a mile from the hotel. The pool and hot tub are in good working order.

Pool was not heated like stated and there was no wi-fi for guests as stated. The hot tub was disgusting and smelt really bad the second day. Housekeeping lady was very sweet and helpful.

The staff was friendly and helpful. That’s the only positive thing I have. The beds were hard as rocks. The shower had hair in it when we got there. The pool was freezing and also had lots of hair in the drains on the pool deck. There were band aids in the hot tub. Over all bad experience. Definitely will not stay here again.

While it’s an older hotel, this property was spotless! Kudos to the cleaning crew. I would suggest the hotel infest in lamps that have a usb port. There was no place to charge our devices.

This place needs a deep clean! The floors and pool looked filthy. The floors are all laminate, including in my room, which was kind of strange. The hallway floors were peeling from the people walking back to the their rooms wet from their pool. And the hallway smelled like ammonia (aka pee). I appreciated the waffle machine at breakfast, but the eggs and sausage were inedible.

After arriving and getting checked in…at 1 am we discovered the beds were infested with bed bugs. They refused to refund and switched us rooms. Didn’t get to bed u til nearly 5 am and had work at 8 am. Do not recommend

We stayed at the Quality Inn hotel on our trip to Ohio. Over the trip we stayed in more than one Quality Inn Hotel. The one in Athens had bugs inside the room, One in the bathtub and one in toilet and two on the floor and in the sink. After killing the bugs we went to sleep to wake up to more bugs bigger than the ones the night before. Some kind of cockroaches I think. On the walls, in the tubs, sinks, toilet and counter. I couldn’t have been more disgusted. The beds are comfortable but that was about the only thing good. The Quality Inn in Gallipolis Ohio was to bad but the toilets and the vanity wasn’t cleaned very well. The shower was nice and water does rinse the soap off. But for the breakfast the give you vouchers and then have you sit at a table, then someone was supposed to come take your order in which you only get to choose 3 items. After 10 minutes sitting at the table waiting no one came to wait on us. They need to make it a buffet like the other Hotels.

The hotel and our room was very clean and nice. Water pressure was great. Did not get a lot of sleep due to paper thin walls. Other rooms next to us and above us was very noise. Couldn’t get a good night sleep.

The hotel was pretty good. The bed was very comfortable. Overall cleanliness of the room was OK. There were some stains on the floor other than that pretty good stay. I would recommend the speed up their Wi-Fi or offer a faster, speeding Wi-Fi that would be nice.

Actually I liked everything, but the Internet was "down" all 3 days so I only gave 4 stars. I think that was an unreasonable length of time for internet to not be available.. Also, the walking distance from the university was not accurately described on the Website, but my room was very clean and the front desk was extremely helpful and kind.

WIFI was down. I had work to finish and wanted to plan for the next day and don't have a good data plan. So, this was a bummer. It was too late in the evening to go find another place. I asked for credit the next day and all they did is take my number. I though this was not fair since the listing in Hotels.com says they have WIFI which is something I make sure the place does before I book it.

Expedia screwed up our reservation. Collected our money, but didn’t give the hotel our reservation. Got there at 11 am - staff said they would figure it out. Came back at 5 - oops, the outgoing staff just forgot to fix it. New guy we by himself. He had to try to figure it out while the phone is ringing off the hook and there is a line of people. Over an hour later we finally get our room. The front desk gave us crap directions to the room, and when we find the building, there are no signs to tell you where the rooms are. You literally have to go up to a random hallway and see if the room numbers are in the range you need. The rooms are meh at best, the a/c was loud and not very good, the fridge made a crazy loud noise like it was about to die. Just a poor experience all around.

We got this room because our baseball tournament was only 2 miles away. We checked in without issue, early in fact, between games. Got to our room and the air did not work! I went to the front desk, he looked in the system fir something in the same area (we were with other teammates) he walked up with me and opened the door to the new room (just across the hall from the original) and walked in to inspect that the air was working in the new room! He didn't question or make me explain or anything! I said it didnt work and he accommodated us with a new room! They also kept the pool open an hour past closing so that our boys could swim since we played our tournament game late! VERY NICE STAFF, NICE AND CLEAN FACILITY 10 stars, highly recommend!!

Needs major updating and cleaning. Doors, the stairwell squeak, and slam shut. Smells very musty. There were cigarette butts in the hallway for the three days. I was there never cleaned up. The breakfast was late and was not good. Broken door in the bathroom, air conditioner rattled. I needed extra towels and they wouldn’t even bring them to the room. I had to take my old ones and walk the whole way to the other end of the building and they had to count them to give me new ones. Any hotel I’ve ever stayed at they brought them to the door.

What a wonderful spot! Ozzy checked me in and I’ve never met a more sweet, kinder person ever! Checking out was a breeze too! Breakfast was outstanding and the hot tub was very relaxing. I will definitely recommend to anyone traveling to the Athens area.

You have a real asset with Ozzy at the front desk. Such a warm, friendly face and greeting after arriving from a long drive. Hotel is clean, parking lot clean, room was fine, the shower head could be replaced or cleaned better. Accommodations were honestly perfect and close to restaurants (within walking distance for bbq and Bob Evans).

Check in was friendly and welcoming. The hotel was clean and quiet. It was convenient to OU for our daughter’s move in to campus. The area felt safe. It’s not plush but it was a great and reasonable option for us. Breakfast was offered daily. It’s not gourmet but met our needs for a quick bite to get the day started. We’d stay again and likely will.

This property is older but it maintained very well, the pool and hot tub were very clean, safe and enjoyable. The room was spacious and clean, with down pillows and comforter. The bath space was very well organized and stocked with products. There was a full length mirror on the door and the shower had excellent pressure and very hot water. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant. The breakfast bar was superb. There were lots of selections, including offerings of proteins. I would definitely stay at this property again and will recommend it to others.

Quite a few problems and a couple good things. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean, but that's about it. There was a large residual puddle of sticky stuff to greet us just outside our door. the AC was squeaky all night. The staff was far from sparkling. Breakfast had few choices and none hot unless we heated it.
