Main room light did not work. Bathroom light only lowly flickered. Bedspread was stained with several cigarette burn marks. Bathroom tub was dirty, unsanitary with multiple rust spots. Parking lot was not well lit. I feared for my safety so ended up driving home that evening instead of staying once I saw the conditions of the room

This is an old property that is in need of a major refurbishment, but I knew that going in. For the rate I paid, I wasn't too upset. The biggest irk was the key had to be reset multiple times by the front desk. If you are desperate for a place to crash or cash-strapped, this will do.

Service was great, very friendly and helpful. They told me that the fitness room was closed and has been since COVID, I was disappointed about that because that was one reason why I chose to stay there. Hotel was quite outdated and the room was very dusty, I had to wipe everything down when I got in there, it was very very hot in the room, I booked in advance so I felt that they could have turned the air conditioner on before I got there so it would be comfortable in the room. The dresser drawers were broken and would not close all the way. The bathroom must have been recently painted because there was blue painters tape on the shower curtain rod.

It was an ashtray with a pillow. Charged me $675 for 2. Nights . They stench was horrible. Tub did not drain , a/c was broken.. I had no choice to stay because Athens was sold out for graduation day but they took advantage which I would care if it was clean and livable. Very unsafe surroundings too. Thank god I was not alone

That place needs to be torn down. It’s old and not updated at all. It’s like going back to the 1980s. There should be certain standards to be met to have it being part of that hotel chain. Can’t wait to get out of there.

When we arrived for an early check in, the host gave us our room key. When we got to our room, the beds weren’t made. The maid called the front desk and she said she was busy? Very upsetting. The room itself was very run down. Definitely needs an update. Beds were not comfortable! Will not plan to stay here again. Parking lot was a mess with trash as well.

We just wanted to stop driving. Get what you pay for. Sad. $70 for a dump. No CNN on tv to watch debate. Owners English was limited. Hidden location. Missed town completely. It served its purpose as a bed for night & fridge & microwave were nice to have.

Dirty room didn’t seem clean. Lots of noise outside in parking lot. People were loud in surrounding rooms. Pictures online were not the same as the building. Beds were terrible. Shower had cigarette burns all over tub.

Most disgusting hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The floor was dirty and had paint on it. The furniture was chipped and dusty. The bathroom toilet had mold growing in it and on the toilet seat. The room was damp. Overall, it was just disgusting.

The room was FILTHY, to say the least. The bed sheets had bugs and stains on them. The furniture was sticky and dirty. The bathroom ceiling vent was broken and hanging down. The toilet and sink were dirty. It was completely unacceptable and unsafe to stay there. Within minutes of check in, inspecting the room and taking several photographs of what we discovered we checked out and are demanding a refund.

The room hadn’t been swept. The TV was broken. No pillowcases. The shower had stains in the tub. Very dirty and didn’t even use it as a result. And my friend had an adjacent room and his was dirty as well. So I don’t think this was an isolated incident.

The room was dirty and smelly. Shower barely functional and bath did not drain. Had to stand in 6 inches of water for a quick shower and half of the water sprayed on the ceiling. Had a rash on both feet and ankles from the standing water. Floor not clean. Bottom of socks were black. Bedding was dirty and smelled of mildew. I left in the middle of the night and drove 2.5 hours home to get a shower and some sleep. Terrible experience all around. The guys working the desk were nice enough. I would have had to wait in line to complain about everything because so many people were irate that they’d spent money to stay there. Every time I walked out of the room someone would stop me to ask if my room was as bad as theirs. The place must have significant health code violations.

This is the worst hotel/motel I’ve ever stayed in. I would say you get what you pay for but I paid over $200 for two nights. Everything was filthy: the floors, the bathroom (poo on the toilet seat and the shower drain was clogged), stains on the towels, the room had the worst odor, god only knows what was splattered on the bathroom door. On top of the filth, the day desk attendant was adamant I pay the pet fee of $15 in cash. Told her I didn’t have cash and I’d get it to her later because she wouldn’t accept a card. Next morning got a call at 9am asking for the cash. Went in and told her all I had was my card and she begrudgingly accepted it. Asked for a receipt and she just couldn’t believe anyone would want a receipt. The WORST experience I have ever had. Do not stay here unless you’re in dire need. Absolutely horrible!

This was one of the jankiest hotels I have ever stayed in. The bed was on top of a large piece of plywood, the brown mattress was covered in plastic and the “sheets” were on top sheet and a thin blanket. They also adjust their price when you get there so no only did we pay almost $200 for one night at this place but then extra fees were added on.

It's an older motel in need of a lot of love. The rooms do not smell or look clean. There are rips in the bedskirts, stains in the bathtub, and flushing the toilet is a 50/50 adventure into "is it gonna go down."

Our stay in Athens Ohio was Sunday night July 23. The staff was pleasant enough, the surrounding area was okay. There was a nursery on one side and a car repair place on the other. Our room was clean enough, it was aged, but was clean. There were two factors that resulted in the worst nights rest for us in a long time. One was the condition of the mattress, it was dreadfully concave, you move toward the center as you slept. The other was the noise from the air conditioner. It cycled on and off with a considerable bang every few minutes. These two factors greatly reduced our sleep. At one point my wife attempted to sleep in the van. It was an awful night. It wasn't the people it was the facility.

Hotels.com charged me for a reservation. The hotel didn't have the reservation and they charged me for a room at a higher rate. There was a group outside playing loud music and the hotel told me to call the police. Horrible experience for double the fee.

Lock on the door did not work. Had to change rooms since first one was dirty. Rooms smelled like smoking even though they were supposed to be non smoking. The staff was super friendly and accommodating and quick to fix any issues.

The hotel was not worth the price. Workers were nice. Just it wasn’t as described at all. And the times we were there the prices were listed way below what we had to pay. Didn’t feel safe I guess is how it should be put. And the bathroom sink had hair in it and on the counter when we arrived.

Check-in was fine. That's the best can say about this hotel. Room smelled of cigarette smoke, my children wanted to sleep in the car (but area was a little sketchy) & my career military husband who has been in hostile fire zones wouldn't touch anything. Photos are not of this hotel or are out of date.

We booked a 3 night stay. The first night we were in a room with a double bed. The mattress was terrible. It sagged and leaned in the center. We did not get any sleep due to the crappy mattress.I asked to be moved to another room and was accommodated. It was 2 single beds, more comfortable than the other room. But, there were several stink bugs in the room which we caught & flushed down the toilet. There was No Breakfast ( coffee & granola bar), no yogurt or cereal. The room only has one hand towel & 2 bath towels. This is Not the nicest hotel & surrounds were bare. Nothing around.

I wasn't expecting the best. They didn't disappoint. For the money, i really cant complain too much. It is cheap. The room was dirty. We saw 2 cockroaches in the room. The beds are old cheap metal springs. They didnt even have fitted sheets. The toilet didn't refill, so we had to keep the lid off. The remote had tape holding the batteries in. Breakfast is a joke. Cereal and twinkies and coffee. All in all, its not the worst place Ive stayed at.

Even with reserving and paying online, check-in seemed to take forever. This hotel is VERY old and dated. The beds were very stiff and not comfortable at all. It was about 20 degrees outside and we walked into a room that had the ac blowing and set to 61 degrees. The included breakfast was only granola bars and juices. We passed. OK, if you just need a roof, but don't expect anything nice. Had we known what we were walking into, I would have gladly paid an extra $30 to stay down the road. I'm laughing at the photo of the room they have next to this box I am typing in. Our room looked NOTHING like this! Aside from the flat screen TV, I don't think anything was updated in the last 20 years.
