Fabulous motel. Great, family-owned business. Room was clean, extremely comfortable, and the customer service was great. Wound up booking an extra night just because my first was so great. Tons of TV channels. and the on-site laundry is so convenient. I will definitely be back.

My trip was on my motorcycle they put me in a really nice room where my bike was right out my door the room was brand new it was very clean and comfortable and very quiet,the owners are very friendly,easy to get out of and on the road I will definitely recommend this motel and I will definitely be back!

It’s an inexpensive room at a motel with appropriately limited amenities. That being said, the owners were professional, friendly, helpful. The king bed was comfortable. The coffee maker, TV, microwave, refrigerator were all functioning. Water was strong and hot in the shower. easy access off the highway for a one night stay during a long drive. Stayed there before and will choose it again.

The outside looks like a shady motel but I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and modern looking the rooms are. Beds are comfortable. Rooms have nice refrigerators with a mini freezer. For the price it was a great value.

Cleaning of the rooms could be better. Heavy Dust on furniture. Bathroom vanity and sink needs to be upgraded. Outside perimeter needs upgrading and remodeling.

My brother and I got a room on the second floor with two queen beds. I had read many good reviews but was a little skeptical because of the price. When we walked up the stairs and I saw the porch floor was plywood, I was still a little skeptical. But when we got in the room, it was so nice! You could tell it had been fully renovated. It was neat and clean and looked brand new. The beds were comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was great. I wish I could find a little motel like this to stay in every time I wanted to travel! If I ever stay over in Athens again, they have my business.

I stay here several times and it’s recently been renovated with new paint and furniture. Working refrigerator and microwave. I found the mattress and sheets to be very comfortable. I slept quite well. It is next to a busy road so there is the expected traffic noise. The owners were so kind and helpful. Close to restaurants. As an overnight stay on my travel through, I highly recommend it. Great value for the price.

Staff was very nice and the room is clean. The motel is right beside the expressway so you do hear traffic. Not a big deal for me. Good place to start whiling getting to my destination

I was hesitant because the outside looks kind of rough, but the inside of the motel room was very clean and the bathroom was nicely updated. Comfortable beds, and the family that runs the motel were very friendly!

This motel is a work in progress. We had room 44 and the bathroom, the AC and the fridge were new. The fridge was spacious with a freezer section. The room was quiet enough especially given the eye level view of rt50. The owner was friendly, courteous and asked us our expert opinion on future remodels. It is an older motel and that isn't overlooked but the room was clean, the bed new, the linens clean and nothing was in disrepair, per se.thete was even a special towel labeled for use on shoes or cars. Only complaint was that the WiFi in our room was dialup speed. We stayed two nights and would stay again. Owner told us many guests smoke in non smoking rooms or bring unauthorized pets. Let's not do that, ok fellow travelers? It makes costs go up and makes hotel staff and owners into unpleasant folks. These guys are doing a great job with limited resources so let's all act like civilized humans who are in this together!

Some pretty good stuff, they had a smartTV which is very rare even for more expensive hotels. The bed was nice and firm which is a big plus for me. Cleanliness was ok and the provided soap didn't work very well, cracked very easily.

They let themselves into my room while I was gone. Then lied about it. Didn’t do any housekeeping. They were just snooping around for no reason. They saw that I was a smoker and wanted to make sure I wasn’t smoking in the room. I had a chair and ashtray sitting outside.

At check-in, proprietor only wanted to give me 1 day. I reserved the room from 11/25 until 11/29 with protection on Expedia. My error was with checkout times. Expecting to have the room for the full day on the 29th, I was blindsided when the manager called to tell me check out was at 11 am. After, explaining my conundrum he confirmed I could stay 1 more night. When I returned to the hotel he told me there was a $30 late checkout fee as well as charging an extra $20 for the room. When choosing the days I wanted to stay on the website checkout times were unclear to me. The opportunistic and greedy nature of the staff should have been evident when first entering the room. Temperature set at 55, no coffee supplied, dirty towel hanging on shower curtain, cigarette burns on bedding, stains on carpet and chair, etc...My point in writing this was to make it clear to the property owner that taking advantage of a person's ignorance is not as American as you might believe.

The front desk worker was very very rude and disrespectful towards me I never even ended up staying bc of unexpected fees after booking it online. He was very very rude raised his voice at me and didn’t listen to anything I said. Will not be going here ever again

We chose this place because it was the cheapest in the area and weren't expecting much. We were pleasantly surprised to find a very clean room with a new bed. The owner is on site and very accommodating. They even gave our truck a jump when the battery died so we were able to go get a replacement without hassle. The property was quiet at night without the usual "chaos" we've come to expect when staying in motels. I highly recommend Hometown Inn to everyone who wants a cheaper room with a higher standard.

For the price this was an OK place to spend the night and get some sleep. Facility is dated but the room was clean and the staff prompt and friendly. It's outside the downtown area but only by a mile or so that's not a big deal but it's right on the highway and traffic noise was very noticeable.

I was very impressed with this place. Its conveniently located right off the highway and minutes away from OU campus. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very clean and the spot just overall was peaceful and exactly what I needed. Plus, you cant beat their price. Would highly recommend.

Hometown Inn is convenient, close to campus and the restaurants on Richland like McDonald’s, McHappy’s and Purple Chopsticks. My room was clean and spacious, as well as newly renovated and the bed was so comfortable! Definitely going to stay here again and wish that I knew this existed before now!! Daughter is a Senior at OU!!
