There was no elevator so You had to lug Your bags up the flight of stairs to get to the room, and back down. The shampoo dispenser was out. Walls paper thin. But great staff all around accomodations.

Worst hotel experience I’ve had in many years. Check in took 15 min, even though I was the only person there. Front desk employee answered the phone while I was checking in and talked on the phone for 10 min while I waited. Room was very dirty. Super outdated. AC was abnormally loud. Hot tub was broken, which is literally the only reason I even picked this hotel. Employee tried to bring me into the boiler room to fix the hot tub for them. Beds and pillows were uncomfortable. Employees are not well trained. Overall, horrible experience. I take many trips per year and usually hotels.com is accurate with their ratings, but they missed on this one. I would give this place a 4 out of 10 rating.

Great rate in auburn for a music festival weekend. 2nd year i've stayed here and i'll stay again. Pool was clean and refreshing. Beds were soft and comfy.

The outlets in our room didn't work except for one by the desk. The treadmill wasn't working, and as a runner that was one of the draws to the INN. The staff was great except one morning two of the employees were having an argument outside my room.

Adjacent to a Starbucks and a few fast food restaurants, and the Freeway Entrance/Exit, the Red Lion is very convenient. Ample parking and clean rooms. The weight/fitness room has dumbbells, a treadmill, a cycle and a stepper.

I did not like waking up to a tick on my pillow and then finding out that it was a pet room which if I had known we would not have stayed as my other half has severe asthma and woke up several times due having a hard time breathing. This was not a good experience and cannot stop scratching/itching now.

Room was in poor condition: stains on carpets, black out curtains broken, chipped furniture, mold in bathtub/shower, one light didn't work. Someone's used Q-tip on floor. Second story Rooms need updated and better cleaning. Desk Service was good. Our room condition was poor and the black out curtains were ripped which let the parking lot lights in, so we asked to change rooms, and the night desk manager pleasantly accommodated us. He was nice and helpful. If it wasn't for him would have given Red Lion a lower rating. Breakfast was typical for hotels in this price range. Some hot items (eggs, waffles, plus muffins, cereal, yogurt). Wish they allowed grab and go for those of us with a long drive ahead of us. 1 night stay.

Always quiet. Housekeeping does a good job in spite of the very old, outdated, and filthy carpet and drapes. Sconce was askew, no charging plugs worked, only one working outlet to charge my phone. Windowsill has extensive water damage. This property is very neglected and seems as though no money is EVER spent on upgrades or improvements of any kind. I continue to stay here when I am in Auburn because it is very quiet, beds are comfortable, rooms are in my tight budget, and it’s close to my family.

Location was convenient and everything in the room was working properly, but definitely wasn’t the cleanest place I’ve stayed. Towels were stained and the bathroom wasn’t very clean. Sheets were clean but the bed was pretty uncomfortable. Pretty soft and felt like I was dipping in the middle. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

Room was okay for one night. Bathroom was small and shampoo/conditioner dispenser was broken and sitting on edge of tub. Shower wasn’t clean. Had to rinse before using. Also the hair dryer was broke. Property could use some TLC. Staff was friendly and breakfast was decent. Beds were comfortable.

Well, there was dirty underwear hanging on the shower curtain rod. So there’s that. And the room had a lingering yet unidentifiable stench that may or may not have been from the dirty underwear. This was a first time for me. I shall not be returning to the Red Lion in Auburn.

Something that should be known is that this hotel doesn't have an elevator so this might be a problem for some visiting. This made the upstairs room less noisy though. The outlets at the lights were so loose I couldn't use CPAP. The beds were comfortable and the staff available.

Easy, quick check-in. Comfortable, modern room. Comfortable bed (except pillows, a bit too thick). Good breakfast options, except for the minor fact that coffee and the hot items were out at 7:15am that day due to an earlier rush of customers; no such issue in my previous visit. The walls are not at all sound-proof,... which made my stay rather interesting this time. Will likely revisit, as this place is well-priced, well-maintained and very conveniently located.

Was told by desk at registration that the high brick wall blocked road noise but although a block from Hwy 80 loud heavy truck noise started by 6 am. Hotel was ok but need to request room facing away from the street if you are affected by road noice

I wanted to like this place: Relatively easy to find and the price was right. But, there were a few weird things. First, the number of notes reminding, almost reprimanding, one, both in the room and in the breakfast room was a bit like being a child with all the do's and don'ts. Second, don't dare look under the bed -- I heard something drop out of my knapsack and bounce under the bed -- as the dust bunnies were reproducing since the last good clean. Lastly, bring earplugs -- a must -- as the air brakes from the large semis, the early AM traffic as early as 4:15 AM, not to mention the occasioal siren, all along Interstate 80 nearby, meant restless sleep in the wee hours.

This is my second stay here. I came back because of the nice breakfast and comfortable accommodations. This time, Betty at the front desk provided amazing service. The room was clean but weathered a bit with some signs of wear. The price is right and I felt safe staying here. This time there was not sausage and eggs as last time. I missed it. Otherwise, highly recommend as a convenient, affordable stop over. We will return again!

Staff up front was great spanish house keepers like to talk a lot of smack about customers specially when they think you dont speak spanish no bedding for pull out couch never recieved fresh linen had to use same towels for 3 days no coffee in room very poor lack of room servicing wont stay again

Something happened with the even I was planning and the staff were very understanding and patient with me through the process. I personally want to shout out Bambi and Betty as they both treated me with warm and welcoming kindness from the moment I walked in. They definitely helped make my experience so much better and enjoyable. Thank you so much again! Would definitely get this place again. The room was also very cute and clean.

Fair, check in slow. Staff did not know the process however new on the job. Carpets and bathroom tub with stains or dirty, hard to tell as lights dim and with yellow hue. Needs updating.

I wouldn't stay here. The bathroom in my room needed a deep clean. It was disgusting. I dusted it myself. Also the person who checked me in did so under someone else's name and when I went to get back into my room after running a few errands I was locked out of my room that I had booked for 2 night. Apparently I am now a man. Thank heavens they figured it out. She even put me in the wrong room.

The room was clean, the bed very comfortable. We are right next to the highway so at 5:30 in the morning I began to hear commute traffic. Other than that all was good. They have a full breakfast downstairs. There is not coffee in the rooms.

This is my convenient go to location to meet a friend in the middle. The bed is comfortable and linens clean. There is running water. There’s a roof. Not in the slightest luxurious but close to Ikedas and I like the price! Thanks Red Lion Inn & Suites

Close to highway with a Taco Bell, Starbucks, and plenty of places to eat near by. The included breakfast was decent for the price of the room. Older property with some maintenance issues but overall I was very happy with the staff friendliness and amenities for an economy motel.

Upon arrival, there was no shampoo in the room and the bathroom light would not turn off. The room seemed clean, but had to make extra trips to the lobby to take care of getting the necessary amenities. Also, the fan in the bathroom turned on but didn’t dehumidify the room effectively. Continental breakfast was ok. Coffee was ok, but watered down the second morning we were there. Given the opportunity, I would probably pay a little more and stay somewhere else.

Bedrooms have been updated, bathrooms recently updated with new shower, toilet and bath vanity. Air Conditioning worked well on a 95 degree day. Swimming pool and spa area clean. Breakfast included but get there early since they really only prep it once. Last time they ran out of coffee, waffle mix and syrup. But I had breakfast at 6:30 am this time and it was similar to others with free breakfast, waffles, muffins, toast, cereal and yogurt. -- The TV was good size, the mini fridge and microwave worked, the bed was comfy but I wish they didn't starch the bed linen so much. The sheets feel rather scratchy. -- The building exterior is rather drab as are the hallways but those things are far outweighed by the good features and a good nights sleep.

I was initially a little disappointed because the exterior, lobby and hallways are pretty dated. Things improved in the room. Shower and Toilet recently upgraded. Air conditioning worked nicely. The bed was nice and comfortable. They had a pool being enjoyed mostly by kids and teens in 90 degree temps. Disappointed along with several guests. The included breakfast is supposed to last till 9 am. but when i showed up at 8 am, No Coffee, No Waffle batter, No syrup. Juice, eggs and sausage were stikk available along with plain baggles. I was hungry but morning without coffee is just not right. I would visit again and get up early for breakfast
