Elmwood Motel

Lovely motel that was fantastic value for money. Clean, quiet, safe, easy parking and 24 hour check in. Bravo!

Ok but large vehicle parking is not available.

Pros: Convenient parking and location Quick check in Affordable Generally clean, some areas could have used a once over imo Bed was comfy enough, clean sheets and towels Heat/air functioned- to an extent Microwave and minifridge is nice Room smelled nice Cons: Next to busy road If you have our luck, what sounds like fifteen people will stomp up and down the needs-to-be-updated staircase directly on the other side of the wall where your heads lay at five in the morning. Uncomfortable blankets Heat/air is either very warm or very cool, couldnt find a good middle ground. Perhaps user error, but doesnt seem like its got a thermostat. Bathroom light does not turn off, door was hard to close/open. Midnight trip to the bathroom sure to be chilly because of need to keep the door closed. You get what you pay for in Auburn. This place truly isnt terrible, its alright as a matter of fact. Could use an update of a handful of things but worth it if youre staying a night or two on a budget.

Many dining choices within walking distance. Cover parking, staff was very helpful and accommodating to our needs.

The owner was so incredibly accommodating! It was in a great location and was so nice to be able to park directly by our place. The front desk was available 24/7 and the rooms were a great value! Gorgeous showers! Thank you!

We stayed long enough to take pictures and left to find a decent place to stay. It was so bad that I ate the cost, plus the cost for a new Hotel, The pictures speak for themselves, but I will summarize the main issues. 1. Dead ants in the fridge 2. Mold in the shower and along all baseboards 3. The bed was soft that when we sat on it we sank into a pit in the middle (12" of movement). 4. brown stuff splattered on the ceiling 5. TV hung om the wall with the cords dangling below it. 6. No nightstands. 7. Air conditioner was disgusting

The checking was easy. I had prepaid for the stay. Miki was very helpful with my special needs accommodations. 1st floor, service animal. She was very nice and i enjoyed speaking with her. For me, simple is perfect. I needed very little. My room was efficient and was all i needed. The room was clean and bright. Nice bathroom and shower. Good water pressure and plenty of Hot water. My queen bed was comfortable. The sheets and pillow cases were clean and fresh. There was enough for space for my gear, bags, and my pups bed. Again, he is a certified service animal. Other furnishings were sparse. The surrounding area is a little busy at certain parts of the day and early evening, the rooms are set back from the street so it's not overly noisy. Everything in zAuburn i is in close proximity. I'll stay again when in town

On a very busy road so lots of noise. A lot of light coming through shutters. Shower not clean. Sink didn’t drain. Microwave didn’t work

Rooms were dirty smelled of weed and I got bedbugs got video and pictures of them crawling around got bitten pretty good on my arms and back, ended up sleeping in my truck with my wife from 2am until the sun came up all they wanted to offer me was a different room no thanks I'll pass. Hopefully I can get refunded by expedia, I'm pretty upset about the whole experience overall. 0 Stars

I was looking for a clean place to sleep on a rail trip. This was a great place that fit my needs. It was clean and looked recently remodeled. When I check into a new place I always check the sheets and bed for signs of bugs. Past the test!! The sheets were clean and very nice to sleep in. The owner was nice and showed interest in my stay. It was a good stay for a motel.

Very courteous staff. The place is in need of exterior work, the interior of the room was spotless. Wished it had coffee in the room

Owner was so nice. Stopped here on our way to burning man and needed a place to rest. Room was really nice and clean.

This property makes me think about someone started with good intentions, but then stopped caring halfway through the job and abandoned the whole thing. Floors are somewhat new, paint and recessed lights, shower door looks nice and sturdy BUT... shower door keeps sliding open while you are showering (room 103 at least); recessed lights not working appropriately and because there is no bedside table light, forget reading in bed; no luggage stand, so all bags and suitcases go on the floor; not enough hangers or a place to actually hang anything; no table to eat or use as a luggage stand; no coffe maker; no hairdrier (you can to ask for one at the front); the microwave in our room was falling apart; the fridge in the room was not cleaned properly. This is our second stay at this property and will be our last. Most of what I wrote about the room arrangement is applicable to at least another room.in the complex. I thought I could handle this second time, but no: the shower door sent it over the edge for both of us..😂

Good: Generally clean, newish bathroom, bed, near downtown Auburn shops. So-So: room size small, very basic furniture (no drawers) Bad: *Lots* of traffic noise (next to a busy intersection), incl lots of motorcycles.

Nice clean and not super pricey rooms close to freeway!!! Owners seem nice!! Only issue was traffic was super loud in room at nights when trying to sleep!!

It's a very small roomed hotel. It's clean but the road noise is loud. All rooms are upstairs with no elevator and no coffee in the room.

This is a great deal. If you need a clean place to stay the night in a safe area this is your choice. Very simple design with upgraded interior and has fridge and microwave. Basically two bedrooms to sleep in and bathroom /shower but perfect for what we needed coming in late.

Great location! Local road noise was fairly significant when I checked in but all was quiet by bedtime. Newly updated, no frills accommodations.

The room had a nice newer shower. It is pretty close to Old Town Auburn The motel design has garages on the first floor, so all luggage has to be carried upstairs. The room was smaller than average. It was OK if you don't have much luggage. The motel is at a noisy intersection. The cable service only included a few channels.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐️ for the location and price! I stayed at the Elmwood Motel last weekend and was pleasantly surprised. The place isn’t fancy, but it's clean, comfortable, and the staff is super friendly. My room was cozy with a surprisingly comfortable bed and fresh linens. The bathroom was clean. The location is pretty convenient, too – close enough to some local attractions and restaurants (Awful Annie’s). They offer free Wi-Fi, and it worked pretty well for browsing and streaming. The price was reasonable for what you get. If you’re looking for a no-frills place to lay your head, Elmwood Motel is a solid choice.

The property and room were both very clean and overall we had a great stay at this property. We were hoping to check-in early since our reservation included early check-in but when we called they told us it was not possible so good to note that early check-in may not be available for you. We did ask for late check-out as our flights were later in the day, they gave us 30 minutes additional time. This wasn't as much as we were hoping for (1 hour) but we did appreciate a couple extra minutes. We would stay here again if we were in the area.

Excellent value for the price. It is a little noisy because of location but it was comfortable and perfect for what we needed. Front desk staff was very nice and accommodating.

Friendly staff, clean room, great price and the heat works great. There was a small issue with my room but it was addressed right away. Great customer service.

Friendly old school motel within an easy walk of the town centre and trailheads for beautiful walks. Good pizza and beer at Old Town Pizza next door.

Great location, really like the people who run it, very mellow, cool, and available. Shower was hot, heater and TV worked great, door uses a plastic card for entry, no old school keys. We like to stay here every year within walking distance to Melvin Seals and JGB Xmas shows.

Staff was really nice. Thats about it. Shower did not work. No in room coffee. No coffee anywhere. Had to to go across the street to the gas station. So, to summarize, this place makes the Motel 6 look swanky.
