Was lied to by the staff when I called and asked about the pool. Called 2 days before arrival bringing five 16 great old girls for a party so they could swim. Was told the pool was open. After check in found a sign on the door that said pool was closed for cleaning. Well upon asking the guy at the desk when it would reopen he informed me that it had been closed for a week do to the heater going out in it.

The only reason I don’t give an excellent on the property is because being remodeling right now so some areas are a little messy. Our room is absolutely beautiful and perfect so I am sure once all the remodeling is completed this will once again be a perfect hotel. This is our 3rd time to stay here and will again.

At the time of our stay the pool and main commons area was being renovated, even though all that going on it never once interfered with our stay. Very clean , professional, safe, and kid friendly experience. Can’t wait to stay again when the new pool is ready.

Check-in was easy; the lobby felt safe/secure; the staff was friendly and provided free water bottles. My only complaint is that we did not get to enjoy the pool, but at the same time I appreciate it was closed for cleaning, to ultimately benefit the health and safety of the guests. No pool is better than an unclean pool!

The reason for the 3-stars is the hotel is undergoing renovations, so I was awakened to the sound of a pneumatic tile remover in the room directly over mine at 8:15 a.m. on a Saturday morning. I understand hotels have to do renovations. I would hope they would not have guests stay in rooms directly beneath renovations where pneumatic tools are going to be used early in the morning. I did call the front desk who "apologized" for the noise. I understand the front desk person likely cannot do anything about the noise. I would recommend anyone planning to stay here contact the hotel to ask for a room as far away from where renovations are occurring as possible while the renovations continue. (They are renovating the 3rd floor now). I do not recommend staying on the 2nd until renovations are done.

The staff was amazing and very friendly, the property is currently under construction, however, we booked since there was a pool, but the heater was broken and couldn't be used, the shower in our room broke, they fixed it right away, and it broke again the next evening at about 11 pm, it couldn't be fixed so we had to pack up and move to another room, but they did give us a larger room (but we were checking out the next morning). But great staff and clean rooms win me every time so I'd give them another chance. And there's popcorn in the lobby which was very fun.

the hotel was under construction was not told that for like two days after i booked my stay . ,no hot breakfast . had to go buy hot breakfast out cost me like $20 extra dollars a day . wish i knew that before i booked room . but was ok . they could have offered a Discount . pool was closed and exercise room was down too ..but it will be nice next time .

Our room smelled like a dirty foot, mixed with mildew. We asked for spray and the mustached front desk person came up with a spray bottle, sprayed the floor in a few spots, and said that should do it, and left. Room continued to smell horrible afterwards. Mustached front desk guy seemed inconvenienced every time we had a problem. The second day the pool went out of commission which was the entire reason we even chose that hotel to begin with. Our bathtub didn’t drain properly, it took 30 minutes in between bath and showers to get back in. The WiFi was incredibly slow, it would take 10 minutes in between loads of any webpage. The cleaning crew skipped our room the first two nights so we had to take our own trash down and request more towels and washcloths. We didn’t get our room vacuumed for two nights, which makes it difficult to work with when traveling with toddlers. We stayed for three nights total and never got our sheets or bedding changed at all, nor did we get a refill k-cup for our coffee maker once. The complimentary body wash in our room stayed empty the entire stay never got a refill. The workout area stayed without water the entire time. All in all, the room was 110 a night but I wouldn’t even recommend it to someone for 30 dollars a night. Save your money and go somewhere else. I will never return to this hotel chain in Ashland or any holiday inn express ever again after this experience.

The overall facility was extremely dirty. When I made it to the room, I found Hair and filth in the shower sink and floors. The bed linens were dirty and had and odor even the towels were washed, but not with care it was like they tried to wash too many towels at once and an odor still lingered. Not the kind of experience that I was expecting when I was on my Home after working a few days away. The staff was friendly to check in.

The floor was so extremely dirty. Obviously, the guests before us had stepped into dirt or mud and the floor didn’t even appear to have been swept or mopped for sure. The was a nasty build up on the entire floor and our feet we absolutely gross just from going from the bathroom to the bed.

While convenient to my destination, I would not stay here again. Half of the lights in my first room were not working, including any in the bathroom. The second room had an AC unit thay seemwd to do little to reduce humidity, and the safety rail in the shower litterally fell off when I touched it lightly. Biggest disappointment, however, was the breakfast: sausage and " french toast" pieces that were overcooked, and no eggs of any kind (employee told me she hadn't had any eggs " in a while"). Fruit selection was limited to a couple of apples. Honestly the worst breakfast buffet I've ever had in a major hotel chain. I dont normally write reviews, but this was an uncomfortable night.

I was traveling with my two young daughters. I was a little concerned with how little parking there was in the front. It was a bit scary, when we got back from dinner, that we had to park behind the building in the dark. There were no clear entrances into the building from the back parking lot (I did see them the next morning), so we had to walk around the building in the dark to the front. So I guess just know that the entrances are there, just not obvious? Our room was a good size and the beds and pillows were comfortable. The shower pressure was good and the water was hot. A warning to parents with small kids, it’s very difficult to wash their hands in the bathroom. There’s a decorative part on the front of the sink (at least in our room) that pushed so far out that my girls couldn’t reach the sink to wash their hands or brush their teeth. So I had to hold them up, which was inconvenient. I guess you could bring one of those little folding stools to get around this annoyance though. The staff was friendly enough and the breakfast the next day was fine. There is a station for fresh pancakes, although we didn’t use that. Be warned, the coffee at breakfast was the worst I’ve ever had. Overall, it was a good place to stay for the price.

The room wasn't soundproof as listed on here.. was looking forward to that.. also wanted the heated pool the whole place was under construction... But our room has been remodeled and was nice so we just stayed in there it was nice and clean we did ask for cleaning service while we left for an axe throwing date right next door and left a good tip and even cleaned the room our self's making the tip easy earned just change our sheets and take out the trash get us fresh towels was disappointed to come back to the same mess request again they took our trash bags and gave us towels... I wanted a break as a mom and this took from that..

The room was very spacious and clean. Shower had good water pressure and never lost hot water. Breakfast was very good. They had oatmeal with toppings, which is my favorite. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is the slowness of receiving the deposit. It took 2 weeks and my husband had to chase it down.

Had booked my room months in Advance. To show up and they told me that the Hotel was overbooked and I was not given the room I had booked. Received a downgraded room with shower head leaking and bathroom light not working and remote to TV was broke. Disaster stay. The only great thing was when I could check out.

Overall the hotel was good. They were doing some painting so some construction equipment was visible. Not many places for dinner in the area that were close by. Staff was excellent and friendly. Bed and breakfast was fantastic.

The hotel property was neat and clean. Rooms looked great although the bathroom renovations weren’t to my liking. Beds were comfortable. Liked the closet and mini fridge plus the sofa seating. Breakfast area was nice except I was disappointed that the pancake machine was out of order. The staff members were all so friendly! Great place to stay! 👍

The worst HIE we’ve stayed in. Hall and elevator floors dirty. At (poor) breakfast, attendants no where to be found. Every table dirty, food and coffee never replenished while we were there. Lots of staff coming to get coffee, though. Not much left to eat for folks arriving after 9:30, and there were many. A very disappointing overnight.
