Baymont by Wyndham Davenport

Booked this stay for the holiday weekend based off amenities and previous reviews. Could not wait to spend time relaxing in the pool. However, upon checking in the person working lied and said they do not have a pool. We said we can see the pool and they continued to say no, we don’t even have a pool. Come to find out it had been drained and closed down. Would have been nice to know before booking.

This property is under renovation and the entire lobby and first floor demolished to the floor with workers operating cements saws, dust flying, doors wide open and dining area unusable. Pool, workout room closed. We arrived at 6:00 and worried if the construction would go on through the night, but it quieted down. We returned from dinner about 8:30 and all was quiet. The room was clean and updated. Starchy Grab and Go breakfast the next day, but not the typical hot breakfast. Also the parking lot was not well lit and the grounds unkept.

Stop having that it has a pool when it does not. The pool is permanently closed.

The elevator was out of service, the pool was closed, there were bugs in our rooms, the WiFi and tvs didn’t work.

The property was fraudulently presented. It was under construction, there was no pool or hot tub available, and there was NO internet. NOT AS ADVERTISED.

Had issues with tv both nights, pool not in working order.

Our room was in the 4th floor. The elevator was not working. Once we got to the room the key did not work and we had to go and get another one (mind the elevator was out of service). Once we finally got in the room it was infested with ladybugs and flies which was disgusting. The swimming pool was empty. All they offered for breakfast was boiled eggs, waffles and cereal, the coffee machine was dispensing hot water instead of coffee the ice machine was out of service as well.

We stay there because it had a pool, but when we check in the pool was closed. I ask why they didn't post that on the website and they said they did. I show them the website whre it said pool under amenities and they had nothing to say. Plus the back door of the hotel didn't open with the room card. So you had to walk all around the hotel.

They are in the process of a remodel. The room I had was very nice. Parking lot was dark. Half the lights didn't work. Parking lot surface had many pot holes.

We are traveling with our dog, so we didn't expect our room to be so nice. (Last hotel we stayed in with our dog was terrible). It was clean and did not have an animal odor. Thank you so much! We travel this route often, and will definitely be back.

Dirty, very stinky, noisy given they were doing repairs but it’s filthy and they charged a surprise fee at check in that was not mentioned when reserving. While traveling that is the worst thing you can hear that they want $100 deposit and that you will be refunded 4-5 business days after check out. There goes my gas and dining money. Never again.

A cheap option but unfortunately very dirty. Hair, water and stains throughout the bathroom and beds/sheets.

Everything was okay but there were quite a few bugs in the room.

We stayed here for softball tournament and it wasn’t bad! They had good breakfast! Eggs, sausage, waffle makers, yogurts, toast, cereal, apple juice, orange juice. Nothing fancy- but it was enough to fill our bellies before game time. The rooms were pleasantly clean. NO Musty smell-always a plus. Nice- looks like new carpet, bathrooms were nice. Beds weren’t bad- pillows were comfy. Air worked GREAT! Had it on 60 the whole time and oooo did it feel good coming back to our room and it was nice and chilly in there! I didn’t know how to work the remote to the Tv.. it kept saying press OK to full screen. I asked the lady at the desk- she came right up & showed me what I was doing wrong- Took maybe 3min tops! This place is the blue building off the main drag. It’s back behind an industrial area -but it isn’t loud. Right next to Cracker Barrel- walk across parking lot. The bottom 1-2 floors are considered ‘Days Inn’ floors 3-4 considered ‘Baymont’. Not sure what the difference was supposed to be? But we stayed at ‘Baymont’ and it was nice! We would definitely stay again! Have been in travel ball for years and have been able to still afford my mortgage with staying at hotels like these haha. But in all seriousness - the rest of the team normally stays at other ‘higher end’ hotels - but these hotels work & able to save a little on the back end! The pool is not in working order is the only downfall.

The staff here is beyond amazing. Including housekeeping. Very clean very comfortable. The food was a smaller selection but was so so good. Literally my only complaint was on Expedia I checked to only show me hotels with pools and this one came up and also I called their main line and they're rep told me that there was a pool and however there is not

The room was nice but the cleaning of it wasn’t as it should be (hair on the bathroom floor and in the tub), bathroom counter didn’t look like it was cleaned and the faucet and mirror had toothpaste platters on them. Beds are comfy and the a/c worked which is what we were looking for.

There was hair (at least 2 different types), on the bathtub visible to the naked eye. There were strands of black and brown hair. Since I’m nearly devoid of hair, I can say with certainty that the hair on this bathtub does not belong to me. The bathtub/shower remained untouched by yours truly. During the check in process, the clerk asked for license and made a copy of it without asking, and then, couldn’t explain why it was necessary. To the untrained eye it looked like a very good opportunity for someone to be a victim of identity theft (and for someone else to benefit from such potential identity theft)

Remodeled room was awesome

Room very clean and comfortable. Toilet though was like sitting on rocking horse. There should be grout under toilet to keep it from rocking. Tub overflow drain is on up side down. No kleenex in room.

I have mixed feelings. It appears the upper few levels have been renovated. We were on the third floor and our room was very nicely updated. The ground floor was being worked on and DESPERATELY needed it. It was very dirty and rundown. The elevator was sketchy. The pool and hot tub were closed down until further notice. The breakfast options were not great. If you didn’t want a waffle, you could have a bagel or a small muffin. That’s it. The outside looked like the place was shut down. Parking lot was a mess of pot holes. Very poor lighting especially for being at the end of the road next to nothing. The price was good. We stayed for a basketball tournament so I would use it again for that purpose but I wouldn’t stay for a vacation. At least not until the updates are done.

I was a little weary about this place based on some reviews and overall outside look of the place. I was pleasantly surprised by how modern and nice the inside was. They were doing some remodel so there was some stuff that was actively being worked on but it wasn’t a big deal at all. Michelle at the front desk was GREAT. She was there every time I went in and out and always had a smile and was so nice. The bathtub faucet did have a leak but I couldn’t hear it outside of the bathroom. Overall, GREAT value for for your money.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable but the air conditioner was quite noisy and TV was useless as everything I tried to watch needed a log-in.

The workers were kind and friendly. Could hear traffic , windows not double paned they are the older style.

We had trouble with the TV three of five days. Tub/shower needed a grab bar to hang on to but nice clean room with comfortable bed.

We checked into our room, the front desk person gave us our keys to “our” room. We get on the elevator and it was gross. We get up to our room and go to unlock the door and the lock in the inside of the door was locked! IT WAS SOMEONES ROOM! I had to apologize to the lady multiple times saying I’m sorry they gave us this room number and key. I went back down to the front desk and told him “you put me in a room that someone is actively staying in I want a refund and I’m going else where” he didn’t even try and make it right OR apologize even. Do not stay here unless your desperate.

Nice hotel that is set back from the road so it's a little more private than some. The staff was amazing. The second shift desk employee was AMAZING. We had a few issues when we checked in, with the room and the TV. He insisted on coming to the room to help. Fixed everything. Was so nice and personable. Would definitely return when we are in town.

The check in was terrible. Showed up at 11:30 was told no rooms available check in was 3. I asked to double check and they said there was a room available. I said perfect they then told me there was a $10 fee per hour for early check in. What a joke will not be staying there ever again. What a terrible concept to charge for early check in when a room is available. Do they understand customer service?? Guess not

The night clerk went out of her way to assign another room since ours was stinky with cigarette smoke and cleaning chemicals. It took several attempts to find a room. The second time the room was occupied. It was a very busy night but she kept her cool and managed every problem with a smile.

The staff was amazingly super nice and very helpful. I dropped my wallet and they went back and look over cameras for me. I will stay they every time i go back to davenport to visit

The lock on my room didn't work. Check in staff disorganized.

I enjoyed the room, breakfast, and driving into Davenport. The staff were also accomodating.

It was suppose to be a smoke free hotel but the whole place smelt like Marijuana. That may be ok for many but I don't smoke and expected a smoke free property. When i brought it up to the receptionists, she and the security got upset and annoyed with me. Very bad attitudes.

Stayed here while working in the area. Beds were comfortable, the rooms and bathrooms were clean and the desk staff was friendly and helpful.

Very nice room. Staff was friendly and actually seemed concerned about my stay. It's tucked away from shopping not that they can do anything about that. Overall, very roomy and clean room, modern convinces. Attentive staff.

Nice motel for a super reasonable price. Located conveniently close to the interstate. We dont need fancy...just wanted a clean, comfortable room to rest our weary heads. And it was very clean. I walked barefoot in the room without regrets. Breakfast is fine, but we went right next door to the Cracker Barrel for an amazing home cooked breakfast.

Right off of the freeway, but far enough away that you can not hear the traffic noise.

Easy to find

The hotel is directly beside Cracker Barrel. We ck'd in & then walked over for dinner. Our room is almost directly over the entranceway. Someone was shouting & talking loudly around 11-12 midnight & continued about 20 minutes.. Sadly woke us up.:(

The hotel is under construction and is a mess. There is $100 deposit. No pool or hot tube at this time. Shower water was lukewarm. Breakfast was next to nothing. Pop tarts or cereal were the options. Would never stay there again

The hotel was great. The room and common areas were clean. The breakfast (eggs, sausage, waffles, bread, cereal, etc) was good, although eggs were only barely warm (likely from a late start by staff). Pool did not appear to be working.

The parking was o.k. The breakfast was good.

The pool was not accessible because the 1st floor was under renovation, not necessarily a bad thing. But we wanted a pool and didn’t find out until we got there. We were hoping for an early breakfast on Saturday to prepare for a race, but they don’t serve until 7am on weekends. Considering this was a big race, the Bix 7s, they should have accommodated us runners by serving earlier. Otherwise this was a nice and quiet hotel. Although I did have to get them to fix the TV since the HDMI cable was not hooked up to cable.

Checked in and inquired about swimming facilities to be told that they have been under "repair" upon talking to staff was informed that they have been repairing it for over 2 years.... website did NOT state this. The only thing hot about the breakfast was hot water for oatmeal and a waffle maker... very disappointed.
