Baymont by Wyndham Franklin

Pool was closed, the whole area was dirty, the veneer on the headboard was peeling away from the particle board. Breakfast was available though. Check in was easy and the evening staff was friendly and courteous. Checking out the next morning I met a very rude gentleman at the desk who told me to go get someone else who then told me that I could just leave my room key on the desk and go without any issues. Thank you nice lady, not sure why the frowning grunting guy couldn’t just have said that instead of acting like I ruined his whole day by walking up to the front desk.

1st room they gave us our door opened without key card. They gave us a different room where key card did work yet the room had dust all over the surfaces. We chose to stay here for the pool for our kids and the pool was like taking a ice bath!

I took a shower at 8pm and the water was nice and hot! The pool was nice which we appreciated after a long drive.

Needed cleaning. Carpets dirty And needed vacuuming on stairs and in room. Elevator not working. Pool closed.

This property is showing its age and probably needs a good going over. Pool was closed apparently for some time as it had scum on the top of the water. Tile had mildew in the bathroom. Room smelled musty. Limited options for breakfast, ran out of coffee and no one was attending the dining area. One redeeming item is you could keep the air conditioner fan running constantly (which I appreciate in hotels).

There was trash all around the hotel. Could not get back in with key cards. Elevator broke. Pool broke. Room looked like a crime scene. Mold all over the bathroom. Closet broke. Wall next to first bed looked stained with blood & black mold.

The pool was out of service, the elevator was out of service, the water fountains were out of service. There was only 1 door working; the other was out of service. There were 1 lights over the bed that were hanging by the electrical cords. The bathroom sink had mold growing around it.

No one at the counter when you check in. Had to call and wait for someone. Pool was cloudy and had a film floating on the top of water. Was very rundown on the outside. Tub was chipped

We were in the area for a weekend, and found this motel to be easy to get to, well lighted with a friendly and helpful staff. I didn't partake, but they have the best looking and maintained indoor pool area I've ever seen. I would certainly stay there again.

The bathroom had mold/mildew in the shower. The trim in the mirror was broken and dirty. The bathroom floor and toilet were not very clean.

The filthiest hotel we have ever stayed in. Not only that, but on our last day I noticed that the peephole was completely missing. You could stand in the hall and get a clear view of the room! The furniture is stained and worn. The mattress had stains. All glass surfaces had splashes, smears, and fingerprints. The floor had bits of paper and food on it and never was swept. The main lobby toilet had a moldy ring around the water level that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a month. Our tub was incredibly slippery. My husband slipped and fell, but thankfully didn’t break anything. There was also mold in the shower/bath. The room smelled like mildew and deodorizer. Yes, there is a breakfast, but it is pretty limited. I would rather have a clean stay. At least the mattress was comfortable.

Our room had mold in multiple places. Will never stay here again.

There was black grout in shower, broken closet doors, shredded interior curtains and uncomfortable beds.

Grounds outside unkept, weeds growing. Paint falling off exterior, carpet old, dingy and dirty.Room smelled. Shower had black hair on shower wall and on bathroom floor. I do not have black hair.

Check in and people were very nice but the hotel is old and needs to have some maintenance to bring back to good shape. Breakfast has pretty limited and coffee was not good. Again people were nice and room was quite. Think price was elevated based on the cross country event so I thought price was high for the level of hotel it was. Mold in the shower, so probably could use some elbow grease and would help a lot.

This place was so nasty and the pictures that Hotels.com have on there are not accurate, the building is run down there is mold all over the bathroom and the doors and frames are falling apart, the staff was the rude and offered only another room that was just as bad there was a whole roach that ran across the floor I can’t express how much I advise people not to stay here, breakfast hahahah cold egg at 6 am and milk that was out dated

Dated hotel, no Iron, hair dryer or coffee in room. Breakfast was scrambled eggs with no meat. Needs alot of work

The hotel charged 100$ deposit, the room I got was a king deluxe . Nothing deluxe about it . Coffee maker was in the bathroom, the small sofa in the room looked old and dirty . Bedsheets weren’t hotel quality. I felt cold mostly all night. Had the worst night ever, there was a group of people next door making tons of noise , opening and closing door , slamming the doors . The walls were paper thin , we could hear their whole conversations and loud tv . Honestly, the worst experience ever. Shower was supper dated . I have never, ever given a bad review on a hotel , but honestly, it was thee worst hotel I have ever visited.

Comfy beds, clean rooms. What more can you ask for.

The outside of the building was terrible. And the inside was dated. The lobby and halls were hot, but the room was cool. Our room was decent, but don’t think we will be staying there again.

We have stayed here a number of times. It is ok for a quick overnight. Unfortunately the hotel needs quite a bit of work. The room was ok but not great.

Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Facility was quite dated. Some outlets didn’t work and I needed to move light bulbs around as not all of them worked.

Desk attendant directed me to the wrong corridor. Room smelled of smoke despite being a non-smoking room. Room smoke alarm was missing. Closet door knob damaged. Dresser drawer handle was missing. Breakfast eggs were unevenly cooked/overcooked, but the waffle iron worked. Side hallway exit door was never locked. Towels were sub-par, but at least the room was cleaned and towels swapped each day. I felt this was dragging down the name of Baymont. Overpriced, probably reflecting price-gouging during Indy 500 weekend. Will not stay there again. Might not stay in Baymont again.

The photos are not what they seem! The building is falling apart and honestly should be condemned. —Mattress, wall and carpeting was stained — Moldy bed frames — Water damage all along the bathroom and baseboards —We literally had to shoulder our door in order to get INTO the room — The smell of cigarette and mildew was PREVALENT — Really sus activity outside in the parking lot — No drop down shade and holes in the curtains to cover the windows — FLIES! Do not stay here.

Although the stay was cheap it wasn’t worth it given how thin the walls were and people in the next room were talking late at night.

This is a very nice property for the price. Although there were some minor problems with the interior of the room, such as laminate coming loose and scratches on furniture, it is a good place to stay for the price. The hot water in the bath is hit or miss. Sometimes hot, sometimes semi hot. I have paid a lot more to stay in a lot less.

Well when I got there lobby was hot, they said I didn't have the room I reserved,but did get it figured out, staff was friendly at least.

Arrived to a lobby that was empty, no staff… a note on desk saying “return in 30 minutes” … I waited 40 minutes… just standing there waiting… I wondered if the place was even open? I understand personnel problems but either you are a hotel or you’re not! Got to a room… dirty floors, holes in wall, stains, no soap… had to return to desk to get soap. Nog a good experience

Only issue was the card reader at check in for deposit wouldn't read the card I use to pay for the room. That card works everywhere else.

The place was gross, dirty and unkept! The pictures will show the room, what is not shown is how dirty the upstairs sitting area and the stairs were. The sitting area furniture was dirty, and one was ripped on the arm. The floor needed vacuumed like las month!! The bedroom door did not shut you had to make sure to shut it. The bathroom floor and sink area looked like there was blood on it. The air conditioner was dirty, I mean take a cloth and wipe it off!! Same with the dirty plug ins! I am not looking at a hair on my pillow or a little dirt in the corner and knit picking this place needed some simple cleaning that someone is simply to lazy to do. The bathtub did not have a plug. I am surprised this place did not have bed bugs. The staff was nice and accommodating. Weird ass owner/ manager sitting in his silver SUV watching the customers or staff. Either go to the other motels with the same price line or spend the extra to not be disappointed. You would have to pay me to stay in this place again and then it would still be a HARD NO!!

The breakfast was normal waffle, cereal, bread, and eggs except no meat.

At check in a $100 deposit was required that wasn't listed anywhere on the website. The hotel, in general, needs a lot of TLC. The exterior paint is peeling badly. Our room had a strange smell. The breakfast choices were sadly lacking. The juice machine didn't work. While not a 5 star hotel, I was expecting more from a hotel that's in the Wyndham family.

I stay here a few times a year when visiting family. Decent place, there is a deposit that must be paid. I paid $100. Always have got it back. I used to stay at the places by the Waffle House restaurant, but they have gone downhill.

It was close to the area we wanted to go to.

It was convenient for us. Definitely needs some upgrading but overall we had a great stay. Staff was great as well.

It was easy access to the high way and close to where we were going.

Safe area, nice staff, place is outdated

We were visiting family in the area. Check-in was Ok. But the pool was closed and no cups of any sort in the room. We had to use our empty bottles for water. Highway traffic was very close and loud. Can't wait to return home and get some rest. But the staff was very friendly and helpful. JM

Indian Staff was friendly. Bathtub needed a rubber mat for safety. Low cost restaurant nearby Circle K and Baymont had very good Indian food. Too bad Baymont has allowed the exterior of the hotel to chip and peel. It creates a really bad impression, unfortunate because its location just off I-65 should be a very positive asset.

Very quiet well kept hotel conveniently located close to the interstate.

There were limited food options for breakfast. Pillow seemed very, very old and need replacement. They also seem filthy and dirty.

the only complaint was the hand towels were yellowed and the rest were white , weird and the breakfast eggs were a bit hard ,but there was no selection of meat of any kind, if you select to serve hot eggs you should have some selection of meat. bacon or ham, or sausage.

Place is filthy, carpet felt sticky when walking on it, went to our room, found someone's socks in the drawer from whoever stayed before, 1 towel in the bathroom for 4 People coming to stay, was AFRAID TO EAT BREAKFAST! Several days worth the batter for waffles not cleaned up, opened the container for eggs, still has scrambled eggs on the lid and the water was milky looking it was so old. This was at 8:00 at night 😬 IT'S $100 FOR A REASON, But only worth half of that.
