A wonderful place to stay right next to the Schönbrunn palace and gardens with easy access to the city attractions via the underground station. The air conditioning was much appreciated in the scorching Austrian summer. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the breakfast was a delight for us and our hungry teenagers. Herzliche Dank, es hat ons sehr gefält.

Unfortunately the fridge in our room was not working. They replaced it after a couple of days. The air-conditioning was not powerful enough. My sheet was a little marked. The breakfast was not substantial enough not a good selection. The great thing about it was the staff who were extremely helpful and kind.

Very disappointing experience. What upset us most was not the broken air conditioning, but the fact that the staff repeatedly lied to us. Before booking, I called the hotel because Europe was experiencing an extreme heatwave. I specifically asked if the air conditioning was working and was assured that everything was fine. When we arrived, it was obvious that the AC was not working. The receptionist admitted there was a problem but claimed it would be fixed “very soon” and still checked us in. Our family of four spent a sleepless night in unbearable heat. Opening the window only brought constant traffic noise from the busy street below. The hotel couldn’t even provide a fan. Later, we were moved to another room that was also an unacceptable solution. During the night, I was promised compensation by the manager the next morning. Instead, another receptionist simply offered to refund the parking fee. Technical problems can happen, but misleading guests before booking, during check-in, and then breaking promises is unacceptable. We will never stay here again and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
