Overall we had a good week at the property. It was too loud for us. The music from the nightclub and live band vibrated our floor several nights (4th floor-tower) and made it hard to sleep. The beds themselves were great which is very important to us. All staff we encountered went above and beyond. The beach was ok. Very small and populated by jet skis that stay there waiting to be rented. The beach isn’t big enough for half of the water to be taken up by jet skis. One day locals even stopped by on their jet skis and it was worse. If you are looking for a party, this might be your place to stay. It wasn’t ours but can see how it would appeal to some.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. The resort was beautiful especially the pool! The beach was right there and the views were beautiful! I didn’t realize the music however would go to 130 in the morning. It was extremely loud in our pool view room. I would absolutely stay there again just maybe not have a pool view room if my flight out was an early one.

The property was impeccable. There is access to the private beach on site but you can also access the public beach. The public beach has better water quality and its 10 minutes away. I had a wonderful time! The Wave nightclub is fantastic.

We enjoyed our stay at Shepherd’s hotel. Very clean and renovated, there is a live music at the tiki bar every day until 12:00am, where you can dance. Two beach lounge chairs and one umbrella are $25, so it not free, free valet parking though

Clean hotel. Nice rooms. Nice pool and show stage. Good nightclub. Staff isnt very efficient. But the worst is the acces to the beach is almost blocked by rental jetskies, and they have a company that charges you $35 dollars a day for an umbrella and 2 chairs. And they call themselves a Resort...

Stayed at this resort for one night. I liked it a lot, but I did not like my room. Since I booked at the last minute I wasn’t able to pick and choose so I got a standard room. It seriously needs upgrades to the bathroom and floors. Floors were nasty and the restroom wasn’t all that clean either. Shower had hair in it and I was grossed out. I will stay again, but I will definitely be in an upgraded room. I wasn’t very comfortable with where I slept.

Overall friendly staff. Not overly family friendly- especially with the live music. TV would not work; again- not a huge deal but with kids I was told they would send someone up to fix the remote and no one showed up. Lots of garbage littered around the pool and cups floating in the hot tub.

The pool area was very small and there weren’t nearly enough chairs for people. It was very crowded and it was almost impossible to get chairs. The rooms was ok but the bathroom was in bad shape with lots of decay and rust. It was also incredibly loud. The live music went very late every night.

First of all I rarely do reviews but for this so called resort I have to.The place is understaffed, traffic as you enter the hotel as there are a bunch of cars entering to the club too. Room was dirty with an old carpet. Millipede was crawling on the wall, we freaked and checked out immediately. The mean manager refused to issue a refund of 2 nights. The people who rate this place a the club goers folks. The place is invested with bugs. No way I can advise anyone to go here!!

Excellent experience overall! Valet and Front Desk were very helpful and made a great first impression. Rooms are a bit dated but clean, and the bathrooms are in need of improvements. Walls are bubbling and paint is peeling. Painting over it doesn’t fix it lol. Overall, I’d stay here again.

The room was OK. It could’ve been better. The bathroom sink had hair in it. There were some repairs need to be done to the room. There was a lot of loud noise like boom noises. I couldn’t get to sleep till like three in the morning. But the beach access was nice.

FANTASTIC RESORT!!! The rooms are spacious, clean , nice balconies over looking the pool, bay, and the Guif. The staff is super friendly, great maid service. There are pool side and beach side bars. David is amazing on the beach taking care of everyone’s drinks and food. There is a beachside restaurant which is excellent. There are great daily and nightly bands that play which makes this resort unique. There is also a nightclub. The beach is great … the Bay Area is nice and calm for wading or swimming in. The resort has all you need but if venturing out, it is close to shopping and restaurants. Another big plus for me was the free valet parking. Highly recommend this resort. I’ll definitely be back.

Nice location, pools are great. Staff is friendly. Room was clean just a bit outdated. Our only issue was our room was extremely loud , we never complained and understand people are on holiday and have the right to party. We barely slept on our nights there due to the loud music from the outside bar on the boardwalk .

We had an amazing stay here. Love that it’s right on the beach ! We even saw dolphins swimming by one day while sitting on our balcony. Rooms are spacious. Only complaint is that we had a pool view room and these are loud at night with the live entertainment that plays.

Toni at the front desk went above and beyond! We arrived well before check in and I just expected to be able to drop our luggage off and come back but Toni noticed my daughter was very tired and upset and she got us into our room immediately so my daughter could nap! Great first impression, arrived to valet parking, then into the cool of reception which has a wonderful tropical smell. Toni was warmly welcoming and helped us check in seamlessly. We could hear/see the pool area was buzzing, loud music, mix of folks (age to group size) laughing and chillaxing in the sun or shade. Our room was fabulous, clean and laid out well, with a nice balcony looking out to the gulf bay and the pool/deck. We enjoyed listening to the music from here. The live bands are good but loud, and the tiki bar gets roudy at night. The food at the tiki grill was simple and delicious. Cocktails yummy. Pool beds get filled up quickly and beach beds are extra charge, water sports also available at cost. Overall a vibrant few days that we enjoyed, however not really suitable for anyone look for a peaceful restful break. Will definitely return with a group for a fun time in future!

I didn’t feel welcomed by the front desk staff during check-in. Additionally, I didn't like that valet service was mandatory, as it meant we had to wait every time we needed our car. It was inconvenient not to have full control over where my car was or to quickly grab something from it without waiting for the valet to bring the keys. The room also had a strange smell. On the positive side, the beach was very beautiful. However, if I return to the area, I would choose a different place to stay.

This place is a hidden gem...great bars, live music all the time, and generally a relaxing social vibe. It's not directly on the Clearwater main strip, but that was nice iny opinion as it was a little quieter walijg around, but you can easily be at any of the main attractions in 5-10 minutes. If I'm ever back in Clearwater Beach, wouldn't hesitate to make this option #1

Loved the location and the pool was great. The pool bars and restaurant and entertainment was perfect. The beach is very small and does not connect to Clearwater beach. You have to walk on the street to get there. Also the beach chairs should be included in the price. Paying extra seems like your getting nickel and dimed for things. Other than that it was a fabulous stay.

The desk clerk did not have the room we requested and blamed it on Expedia. She wanted to upcharge us for the room.Some of the bar staff were rude, but every one else were very nice. The resort also wanted to charge for beach chairs at per day.

The front desk people were amazing during our check-in. It really got us excited for our weekend. I was there for a bachelorette weekend we had a great time. Overall, I would be back again I would say our only complaints regarding the hotel would be the service/servers. They were not very kind, very rude and pushy. We were able to overlook that given. Everything else was a good experience.

Wonderful stay, beautiful beaches and resort. Would definitely stay again. Only thing I would pass up would be The “buffet” breakfast for $15.00… it was nothing more than a free breakfast you usually get at most hotels. Every employee we had contact with was wonderful and nice.

The Shephard’s Beach Resort was the perfect place to relax and unwind. We had an excellent view of the ocean from our room on the sixth floor and were able to watch the sunset each night from our balcony. The Tiki Bar area near the beach was great for food, drinks, and live music in the afternoons and evenings. There were plenty of restaurants and shops within a ten minute walk of the hotel, but you don’t have to leave the hotel if you don’t want to as they have easy access to food and drinks most of the day. The private beach was great, but unfortunately the ocean water was too cold for us to swim during our stay in February. We did, however, thoroughly enjoy the hot tub. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Everything was awesome. We enjoyed the pool, beach, and live music! The rooms are also very spacious and clean. The only issue we had was getting service at the tiki bar for dinner(around 645). After waiting at a table for over 30 minutes we asked a server for menus twice and he just never came back. We finally ordered food and drinks through the bartenders who were great!

It was a prefect stay. The resort was clean and had the most beautiful private beach as well as a nice clean pool. There was also a restaurant with good food and live entertainment. They had one person singing in the morning who was amazing and at night they had an entire band playing that’s extremely talented. Honestly this resort has been one of my favorite hotels. There’s many restaurants nearby as well as a lot of things to do. Jet skis were cheap and fun. Book here you won’t regret it. I’m definitely coming back. The staff was friendly and helpful

The location was perfect. They have jet ski, paddleboards and kayaks on site to rent plus beach chairs and umbrellas. The food at the tiki bar and the Cove were very good and inexpensive considering it was on site. Mixed drinks however, were not that great. Pool facing rooms also allowed you to sit on your balcony to enjoy the music and make your own beverages. The music was a definite plus. Dont miss the sunsets, they are beautiful, and there is a walking path to the Pier that starts close to the property.
