As soon as you enter the property you noticed how well maintained it is and how wonderful the staff is, welcoming and informative! I loved the thoughtful bowl of orchids with bobby pins for your hair! We had a suite for the three of us and it was very spacious, clean and had all the amenities we needed. There are great food options right on the property and the beach is right across the street with bicycles you can use. I would recommend the Maui Coast Hotel as a very pleasurable place to stay.

There are two towers and they are drastically different. Hoku which we stayed in is in need of an update. Coming off the elevator to the floor the distinct smell of mildew from the hallway carpet was apparent. Our room was dated. It’s not awful which is why I would imagine is priced how it is. You definitely want to ask for the Kai tower. It’s much newer and updated. This being said the amenities and location are very good. Two beautiful pools that our daughter had a blast in. One huge whirlpool with 2 smaller ones. The restaurant on the grounds, Kīhei Cafe, is excellent. Staff was very nice at check in.

The bartender Tyler basically ignored me. The three times I was there. I had to wait over 10 minutes for a beverage and then never came back to me again. When I checked into the hotel, I had my daughter with me and the other front desk attendant gave another woman a treat for her daughter, but I didn’t get one for my daughter. The rooms were disgusting. There was mold growing underneath the top of the toilet. And our last night that we stayed there, the bar was closed because of rain. Was not the best time.
