Comfort Suites near I-80 and I-94

We booked this hotel for a stay on the way to Chicago. We chose it primarily for the pool. However, on arrival we learned that the pool was not open. Also, the first room we were given was actively under construction. Our next room was fine, but by morning the entire hallway smelled strongly of weed. Everything felt very old and very worn. Breakfast was good and most of the staff were very friendly. However, I absolutely would not stay here again.

There was a roach crawling in the bathroom. The Jacuzzi tub didn't hold water. No water pressure, a water fountain has better pressure. Filthy, change the outdoor garbage can, pick up that nasty lot. Sofa bed was moldy with weird stains. Curtains were disgusting. The owners have no pride, or they'd take care of this place. This is a 59.99 hotel not a $230 hotel. Pool was cloudy. The room needs painted. Child size pillows, didn't have enough pillows for both beds. Shame on the hotel owners and the lazy workers.

It’s was clean but but don’t book here they don’t be wanting to give you extra towels of give you the stuff for the pull out bed, my daughter went to ask for the stuff for the pull out bed and they just gave her a sheet, no fit sheet or pillow or blanket, the pool was so cooled and it had way to much chlorine we couldn’t even stay in there cause it was burning out eyes, the wall was falling apart and there was gun and hair on the fool and the door knob was rusty the pant was cheeping off on the fool and in the pool,

The jetted tub didn’t work The pool was under maintenance The fitness area smelled moldy plus the tread mill didn’t work

Good stay. Pool closed due to an issue but reopened the next morning.

The pool was no longer in service and it wasnt listed on their website or signs warning it was closed or did the managers let us know at the time of check in. I booked it especially for the pool.

The stay was exactly what my family was looking for, for our family vacation. The only complaint that we would have is that when we first checked in, my kids were excited to swim in the pool so we take our bags up and get our suits on. When we get to the pool it has stuff floating in it and looks like it hadn’t been cleaned, i didn’t want to disappoint my kids so I grabbed the net and cleaned out the pool. I am not a worker and I shouldn’t have to clean the pool, if you’re going to have it then you should maintain it properly.

I was surprised that I had to be buzzed in to the front door during the day time. In the morning the person maintaining the breakfast area turned the TV from the morning news to a Spanish language sitcom so she could watch vs the 4 people having breakfast. For the price it was alright but I was a male traveling alone. I would not take my wife or send my daughter to this address. The businesses around it (gas stations) also had notes regarding no hoodies or masks allowed

When we pulled into the lot we thought oh no!! garbage in the entry way and parking lot. Large holes in the screens, people lounging in the very small lobby, which was also very dirty and smelled of Hash. WE just turned around and left. I called and cancelled immediately. Went to the Holiday Inn across the street.

The pool area only has 3 plastic chairs and the floor was dirty, which means the dirt goes into the pool. It needs to be cleaned.

The room was nothing like the picture, there was visible dirt in more places than you can count.

We left in the middle of the night after discovering BED BUGS in room 302. Front desk tried to give us a different room, but wouldn't refund us. I was told the following day that a state licensed inspector had to inspect the room prior to any refund being issued. Inspector was scheduled for 6 days after we left. I'm sure by then, the bug issue will be ratified. Shady location with shady people. BEWARE!!!!!

The rooms were great. There was so much potential. Too bad the staff is NOT CLEAN. My daughter hit the floor for 2 minutes without socks and her feet were filthy. How did we figure it out??? See pic below. I asked for the floor to be mopped. Didn’t happen. Also woke up to a roach in the bathtub. I was not surprised because it was not clean. They just overlook filth. Will not stay again.

My room floor was dirty the tib in the Bathroom was dirty there was ni smoke detectors in the room the air conditioner didnt not work and the floor in the elevator was very dirty and sticky the main lobby look very depressing i told the manger on duty how dirty this hotel look and he didnt have a care in the world no apologize or nothing all he said was do i want a receipt SMH!!!!! never again will i stay at this dirty ass hotel

Expedia you should strongly consider not offering this location. I was put into 2 dirty rooms. Holes in the bottom of the dresser drawer. Burn marks on the walls in the bathroom. A remote w brown sticky matter on it. Floors so dirty when I wiped them w a towel after a shower (because I couldn’t figure why my feet were dirty) black. No towels in my first room. Tape on the walls from a previous guest that had decorated. Used bars of soap (not from my daughter or I). Kindly, asked the front desk to switch rooms went well was given another room. It’s 1am at this point. Seemed better then the he first. Woke up to sleeping on stained pillow cases and hair that was clearly not mine. Went down to talk to the staff. The lady at the desk wouldn’t make eye contact me and asked if I wanted a full service clean. To which I replied, it should be full service cleaned between guest. It’s a hotel but no one should know they’re sleeping in the same space by the previous guest. I asked to talk to the manager said her manager was busy next door (?) and she’d leave a note. I asked could I just talk to her because I feel this situation needs compensated. She flat out just said no and that would get a note. Check out. Still no note. Next front desk person unwilling to help like the other. They charged me full price plus my deposit. Called to dispute the charges and the person on the phone was rude and unhelpful. Finally the deposit was reimbursed yesterday mind you I was there 7-23 to 7-25…

Very dirty

Upon arrival, the main lobby entrance reeked of strong marijuana, which permeated the hallway that led to my room. The room itself smelled like bleach and chlorine, and there was hair all over my bed. It was so disgusting I complained immediately and was moved to a room next door. The condition of the rooms was awful with dirty walls, a filthy couch, and dents and knicks on the walls and furniture. The tv kept shutting off. The shower water never ran hot and only ran cold forcing me to take a bath every night. No one ever changed my Linen or anything from housekeeping a single time that I was there aside from the *1* day I had a DND sign hanging on the outside of my door. The only good thing here was the staff who was pleasant, friendly and kind. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Our room was FILTHY. Hair and stains of various sorts all over. There were holes in the wall that you couldnt even consider patched, no touchup painting done when an appliance was replaced which left puke brown patches on a white-ish wall. The pull out sofa didnt have sheets on it, making the disgusting stain on the mattress blatanly obvious. When we asked for sheets, they wouldnt even bring them up, and the "fresh" sheets we were given had multiple hairs on it. There was a pubic hair on the tub, a hair IN my bed, a torn sheer curtain, and a very obvious blood stain on the heavier curtain. The pictures hainging in the room were filth-covered, and there were grease stains/drips on the headboards where people before us had placed the back of their heads. When brought up to the front desk in the morning, they offered a measley 15% discount.

The room was not clean and the experience was not the best

The faucet in bathroom had very little pressure, so shaving and brushing teeth took longer than it should have. The tub/shower dripped constantly after trying to turn off. There were ants on the night stand, I could not find source. The patchy paint work, made it feel like a creepy, not well maintained facility.

We were in town for a funeral. Our room was right across from the pool. The kids were screaming in the pool which would have been fine but the walls are so thin it sounded like they were in our room. We were awakened at 1 am by a woman screaming at her boyfriend. She screamed non stop until 2 am and then intermittently after that. We tried to call the front desk but the phone in our room was dead There was no way if anyone was on duty during the night that they couldn’t have heard it. We had a funeral to attend the next day and we were exhausted from no sleep.

My partner and I just needed a room to stay in to help my grandparents clean out their house. The stay wasnt terrible since we were literally just there to sleep, but I don't think I would return unless I didn't have another option. The bed caved in on one side, there were scuff marks already on the wall by the couch, the place in general smells like cigarette smoke, and the second night we were there our room key had to be reset because it would not work on our door or to let us inside the building. The sheets were clean, but there was a stain on the comforter. Again, not the worst stay, but definitely not worth the price.

Bed was broken and slanted to one side making sleeping very uncomfortable. Will not book this place again.

Make sure you call in advance to make sure the room you are booking is the right one, I was mislead about the room setup and had to endure one little space with 5 people!!!!!!!

First I am so disappointed because I frequent Comfort suites in Lombard il. location is HORRIBLE! 1.My room was way smaller than advertised 2.My room was dirty it had urine stains and blood stains on the floor. 3. I booked NON SMOKING because I do not smoke and am allergic to tobacco. The whole hotel smelled loudly of tobacco and marijuana 4. Prostitution was taking place at this location as well there was a male coaching nd instructing young women in and out the hotel 5. The swimming pool was really dirty Very disappointed I had to go to another hotel to stay the night!

Thos was my second tume staying at this property an i was disappointed the first time my room look like it was new very clean an nice sn big this time i stayed in room 200 an it was very small the furniture look old the walls was pilling the closet looked like a small utility closet with a creepy door

The shower in my room could not run hot water no matter how long I turned the faucet on it just won’t heat up. Bathrooms had the stench l of cigarette but rooms are labeled non smoking. That needs to be figured out but cleans did keep my room clean during cleans

Breakfast options plentiful but most lacked taste. We got a king suite with a jetted tub just for 2 of 3 knobs to be missing. There were little bits of build up along the bathroom wall and the toilet base was leaking.

The people in the next room were loud all night couldn’t get any sleep. Called the front desk and no one answered

On check in we were given a room and when we got to it the door was open, the bed had clearly been sat or stood on, the microwave and refrigerator doors were also open. When I went back to the desk to ask for a new room, the desk clerk insisted the room was clean. I had to ask multiple times for a different room. When we got to our next room it (and the rest of the hotel in general) appeared very run down and not properly cared for. I will not be booking here again.

We asked for plates and forks (plastic) and he said he would bring them to our room and never did. Went down for breakfast and the dining room was very small, no tables available and all the food was gone. She put more frozen sausages in the warmer to fill it. We left and went to the ihop across the street and it was amazing!

The staff was very nice and helpful

Service was horrible, stayed two nights and no clean towels (even after we called the front desk) we didn’t get towels until right before check out on Sunday.

I checked in with no problem. When I got into my room to place extra clothing in the closet, a big cockroach was already living in there. Then I went to the front desk to request another room and the agent asked if I took a photo of the roach. Umm no call EcoLabs and gimme my new room. Then I asked for extra towel after leaving the pool and the desk agent didn’t want provide any. Ok cool. Then before bed, I requested extra bedding for the sleepover sofa and was denied again. This property was the worse I’ve ever seen

Everyone was accommodating the rooms for a very nice mildly concern was the toilet I'm very tall and the toilet sits very low so it was difficult. They don't have a hand shower I wish that they had because I have a disability besides that it was very good experience. Customer service was excellent

We really, really love this place and will be coming back. The service is fantastic. Wonderful, friendly staff. The bed is quite possibly the most comfortable hotel bed I've slept in. Fantastic location. Really impressive.

I liked that it was close to the expressway and restaurants.

I love staying at this location due to it's location to the toll road and shopping areas and restautants. The doors seem to be stuck and I had to shove it open or closed.

Every thing was fine, because I had my children and visiting from out of town I was given the presidential suite for the same price because I needed space! The staff was friendly. Would stay again, close to stores and restaurants.

Breakfast is hot. Waffles, eggs, sausage, with other choices cereal, bagels, and some fruit. The jacuzzi in the room was relaxing.

Was the best hotel experience we have had in a long time. Staff was friendly and amazing. Loved the indoor pool and snack bar. We definitely will be doing this again

The hotel was nice, great value, easy check in, staff was friendly, the pool was small but nice, and the room was spacious. My only critique was the hot food offered for breakfast. They had a good variety of continental breakfast options but the hot food was; frozen and reheated egg discs, greasy and soggy bacon and sausages. The waffles were good though. Considering it is free, can't complain.

Toilet in our room was running all night, food splatter on wall by door, freezer portion of mini-fridge had ice build up, and hotel did NOT have cribs/pack and play available (which the site said they had). The hot breakfast was overall good, but they started putting everything away before 9:30 am and we felt rushed. Also, there was no public bathroom available to use after we finished breakfast (we had vacated our room before breakfast to make our departure quicker). I also noticed trash in the parking lot (used condom is the item that stood out) and just generally run down. Also, they require $100 deposit at time of check in, and if you cover the deductible in cash and forget to collect it upon departure, they keep it (not credit your account or deduct it from what they charge your card).

There was a bit of work going on but nothing that affected our stay. Breakfast was basic but nice. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Area was great - Walmart & Target close

I love the area. The staff was very helpful and attentive. The room was very clean and nice though the ceiling in the bathroom has water damage. Also, I couldn't get the tub to fill up. Breakfast was okay. I thought it would've been more variety of meat and scrambled eggs. The staff did a pretty good job keeping the breakfast area cleaned considering the mess some of the children made. Bed was very comfy!!! I would have really enjoyed if the jet tub was working properly.
