Hampton Inn Marion

The breakfast was always very good. The room was clean. The front automatic door was broken, elevator was broken, outlets in the bathroom kept tripping, there was no information in the room regarding any of the hotel amenities and I understand why. We tried to use the pool during normal pool hours on a Saturday evening, but the pool had closed early (we were told due to lack of available towels). When we arrived at midnight on Thursday, the front desk attendant apologized for the broken down elevator and said, "If you need assistance with your bags, I do not care to assist you." Our room was on the second floor and we truly did not need assistance to get to it, however, that statement was very unprofessional and not necessary. The elevator was broken on Thursday when we arrived. I don't know how long it had been out of commission prior to that, however, it SHOULD have been fixed first thing Friday morning. We checked out on Sunday and it was still broken. The front doors were non-functional on Saturday morning with a sign posted to "push the doors apart." There was no sign asking to push the doors back together to keep the cold weather out. People were entering, and not closing the doors. Numerous times I had to get up to close them myself while eating breakfast. There is obvious a serious problem with the management of this hotel. It's owner should be very ashamed of this service!

Clean with friendly staff. Staff was helpful with restaurant recommendations. Pool area was clean, only concern was hottub could have been a little warmer.

Friendly staff. Certainly not like the photos online or available in the app. Elevator out of service, electronic window blinds in the room did not function, carpet was very worn and dirty.

Late check out was very accommodating. The pool was nice and well cared for. Breakfast was fire and went until 10am :)

Elevators were down and on the 3rd floor. Heater in room didn’t start heating until middle of night. Breakfast was good. Grace assisted me with linking my Hilton rewards, very kind.

Fitness Center out of order / being renovated. Elevator out of order. Ceiling by hot tub dripping next to hot tub. Stains in bath tub so we wore sandals when we showered. Room had a slight odor. Big pass.

The bathroom was horrible. Bad shower, top to bottom. Sheetrock peeling, shower head 25 years old, drain in sink fills up, tub is 25 years old. Needs serious work and upgrades.

The grout and calk around in the area around the bathtub could use some repairs. Outlets available between the bed were loose, our electronics were able to charge, just didn't have the positive plug-in response when plugging the wall-warts. Other than the above, the room was clean, nice and dark when the blinds were closed, and fairly quiet.

The condition of the facility did not live up to the normal Hampton Dirty , not well kept, paint peeling in the room. However, the worst was the check in the pm of 12/9/23. The attendant did not recognize that we were standing waiting for her attention. Never even looked up for several minutes. And then when she did was rude and less than helpful. The checkout experience was much better.

Nice place to stay close to where I needed to be. Bathroom tub was dirty from a previous remodel it looked like and VERY SLIPPERY.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Hot coffee was always available. The breakfast buffet was very good. The elevator was really slow and had there been central steps i would have taken them. The drapes in our room wouldn't open (or we couldn't figure out how they did) but we didn't really care. I think if you don't have vending machines then you should have an honor box to leave payment. Next time I stay here I'll be sure to bring my own soft drinks and water as prices were unreasonable. A bell at the desk would be good. The desk agent was always working but sometimes away from the desk (fixing the juice machine, getting coffee cups, etc.). She was very considerate and professional.

The room was super quiet Breakfast was skippable Some issues with housekeeping, but resolved. Toilet clogged every day. Great that we could have our doggies with us.

Stopped for an overnight stay and we're very impressed by this facility. We booked an accessible King room and it had everything we needed for the stay. While a little far from the front door, the handicapped parking was well situated just outside the door closest to our room. The walk in shower was spacious, equipped with plenty of handails, a shower chair, and a very nice handheld shower head. There was ample space to move about the room, and everything was very clean. We also appreciated the smart TV where in addition to complimentary access to Showtime one demand we could also sign in to our own Netflix account and continue watching our own shows. The breakfast in the morning was well stocked and clean.

It was fine. I didn't realize the room was handicap accessible, so the bathroom had no area or vanity for our toiletries. Fan in bathroom was very loud and grating. All seemed clean. Not a fan of tub shower curtain combo.

Upgrades are needed badly and new beds

Breakfast was good, they need to change the layout though. The toaster and waffle maker should not be in the corner together. Our room had a soft spot in the floor that was creaky. Staff was nice and helpful

My stay at the Hampton Inn Marion was very last minute and not in my plans . My 1 year old son and myself were in a horrible car accident on I-69 , we were on our way to Missouri to start a new journey and unfortunately our car was totaled in this accident and I needed a place for the night until my family could get to me . My mom booked this room for me and when I got to the hotel & explained my situation , EVERYONE was so kind and helpful . I could not thank all the staff enough for their amazing hospitality and everything they did to quickly get me and my son into our room and safe . I have never had such a great experience at a hotel ever . If I’m ever back in the area I will definitely be staying again .

Comfortable and helpful staff. Kudos to the management which allowed penalty free cancellation of the first day of a three day stay due to poor weather conditions. A clear indication of great customer service.

Staff is always very friendly. Grace at the front desk remembers us each time and calls us by name. Calvin was very friendly also, he made us feel welcome

The Assistant General Manager - Hampton Inn, Marion was absolutely THEE best. She helped me navigate and worked with me through my grief and bereavement. My mother died and I was there for her funeral. The phone service was unavailable on location, she went ABOVE and BEYOND to ensure I was comfortable and had everything that I needed. Not only that, she provided me with her cell number in the event that I needed anything. Additionally, as a M.S. patient, she didn't treat me as if I was a bother because of my disability. Because of Rachel and the team present on this past weekend, I would with no hesitation stay again with the exceptional service I received!!! She (R.C.) needs a raise, a promotion...a week off in the Caribbean, all expenses paid.

Our special requests for an ADA bath tub room were followed, the manager was very helpful and kind! When checking in the staff were above and beyond hospitable and friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was appreciated. We enjoyed our stay and will return again for future visits into Marion. Thank you everyone!

Room was very clean. Toilet was a little finicky and not a lot of pressure in the shower, but I’d stay again. And Lee at the front desk was great; friendly, hospitable, accommodating…. All in all a good stay.

Hotel could not find reservation. Asked for confirmation number but Hotels.com does not provide, only their itenerary number. I had to search around Hotels.com website for support number which was incredibly difficult to find. Got an agent who was able to contact the hotel and push the reservation through. Ultimately it worked out but a painful process

Wasted two hours checking in. Spoke with general manager of the hotel on the phone. She was very unprofessional and unhelpful.

The property was quiet with easy parking and the location felt safe. The elevator awaited repair; but the representative at the front desk offered a 1st floor unit, if needed. It was not needed and the stairway to the upper floors was most convenient and made for pleasant access.

Liked the close proximity to restaurants and shopping.

My husband and I enjoyed our day at this Hampton Inn location! The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean with a wonderful breakfast. I give this a five star thank you so much.

This hotel was quick to meet my needs. The breakfast was delicious and was more than I expected. I was expecting sleeping on a hard bed and pillow. To my delight I woke up and felt great! Thanks for making my stay very enjoyable!

Hot tub was not working. No variety on rhe breakfast buffet. Asked for a room with 2 queen beds, got a room with one king.
