Took @ hotel ok, down the block @ Tavern- excellent. Concierge @ hotel awesome, courteous, friendly, and informative. Pool, beach staff, awesome. Pool, good quiet experience, unless there are children in the pool, they are not quiet- no big deal. Gym not bad- small with basic equipment.

Simple hotel nice and quiet and clean no special amenities, they do have a pool and it’s heated, a little gym , self parking for $40.00 a day tax resort fee on parking too, not including in the room resort fee

The pros: The location was great! The beach is walkable and we had stores closed by as well. The cons: The hotel is old, the rooms were not clean (we found a couple of roaches), the parking is not included and they also charged us more than $25 extra for the “resort” benefits that were basically the chairs at the beach. The staff was not very nice, some of them gave us incorrect information about the parking so we were overcharged. We will not be returning.

You have to pay for onsite overnight parking, which is underground($42.00/day). The building is very outdated, need to be repainted, and the bathroom is extremely small. The room was cleaned daily, the small pool is nice. One of the 2 elevators didn't work. Very difficult to access tge building, right in a very busy intersection.

Views from the balcony were amazing, the location is great. Pool area is beautiful but there was lots of sargassum on the beach. Room was ok. Totally worth upgrade for the beach view balcony. Parking is horrible. They didn't have any availability when we first got there and it would have cost $40 per night. We did find a close parking garage for the same price. The free trolley stops right near the hotel and it's air conditioned, great way to get around.

The staff and housekeeping was nice and friendly. It would have been nice if the bar on the 4th floor was open while playing pool. They need to replenish the pool table, it was missing a ball. Also the outdoor pool needed to be cleaned. There was sand at the bottom during my whole stay. Other than that all was well.

Rooms in very bad condition. Mold on wooden frame of mirror in bathroom.Smells bad and not clean. On 8th floor every door scratch up so bad. Carpet in hallways so ugly , dirty and needs stretching. We reserve for two nights and ask if we can leave as soon as possible, so they make us stay for one night and we left in the morning (looking for better stay).We had ocean front room. Not recommend.

I would never stay again in this hotel. The fire alarm went off several times in less that 24 hours. Nothing was going on, just an issue in the system, very disturbing and annoying specially if it's 1 am. The room said sound proof in the description, but you get all the noise from the aisle. The shower is very outdated and I saw roaches in our room.

This hotel is in desperate need of repairs and it shows it. The hotel and rooms smell so bad probably mold. Air conditioning units suck. We originally had an ocean front room and we had to get moved because we had a water leak from the AC a slider door that did not lock, and after they repaired the AC it did not cool enough and felt musty in there. Although it’s at a great price point I would skip this one.

This place should be condemned. The lobby was the only halfway nice area. The rooms and hallways smelled horrible, alot of moisture in the air, mold on the walls and ceilings. The bathtub was rusty. No wash rags. The a/c didn't cool properly. Floors were moist in room. Sliding glass door to balcony would not lock. Sad part about it is we paid over $250 for a one night stay.

This property served its purpose…to provide amenities on a layover day between our cruise and our flight home. As soon as we arrived, we were provided with guest access cards, so we were able to access the pool and the beach right away. While towels are provided, they are limited to two per room, which was unfortunate for our family of 4. We requested early check in, however we did not get our room until 3:30pm (which we understand, we were just hoping for earlier). The hotel is conveniently located, so we were able to walk to lunch and grab snacks at a nearby store. For dinner, we ate in the lobby restaurant, which was delicious and decently priced. Our room was lacking. Once again, there were only 2 towels in the room, which does not work for a family of 4 after a day at the pool/beach. Our walls were covered in dirty handprints. The room smelled stale and musty. The soap/shampoo dispensers in the shower kept opening. There was only one coffee pod. The room was super loud and we were woken up by dumpster lids opening and closing all night as well as doors and hall noises from other guests. All in all, the use of the pool/beach for the day made this hotel well worth it, however I’d consider staying elsewhere if I was booking a longer stay.

started off when I checked in at around 12 o’clock in the morning, the room that they gave me was dirty. It was hair in the bed and stains on the sheets . the hallway smelled like urine and all the doors were scratched up. it felt more like a motel. The pool was very small and was dirty it didn’t appear that they were cleaning it on a regular basis. direct beach access was a plus but I would not stay here again, and I do not recommend it to anyone.

Room was dated but clean. My biggest issue was thin walls we could hear everything around us. Weed smell in the hallway. I also fell going down to the parking garage notified two people and nothing more was ever inquired about it. Additionally, they blamed my shoes for me falling. The parking spot they gave me looked like it was more for a jet ski at that point, why even put somebody in that spot and have them pay for it

Room nice size & has a fridge. Bed very tall, but comfortable. Room should have had a beach view and balcony, however, we were on the lowest floor, so it was next to the pool and we couldn’t see the beach. We could see the sea in the distance.

The Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. The location is good and has easy access to free trolly service around the South Beach area. Only negatives were the technology issues. The WiFi was overloaded and often wasn't available until it was rebooted. TV service was glitchy and door keys sometimes had to be replaced. I would stay again, but some of tech issues were annoying.

The hotel did let us check in 4 hours early since our flight was early and the 12pm check out was also very helpful. Rooms were clean. There was some minor issues Lack of air flow from the air conditioner, but nothing major. For the price and being on the beach it was good.

The hotel is perfectly located mid beach. Ocean front property at a relatively low cost for the area. Dislikes: AC barely worked. Satellite TV was inoperable for 24 hours. Roach in the Bathroom first night. Parking for a very small lot is not inclusive in nightly rate. An additional 40/day. Most staff barely spoke English. Concierge and assistant were a joy to work with and helped in everything asked. Restaurant breakfast was expensive given the offering. Should have been free because it was no better than Hampton Inn. That all said, knowing what I’m paying for I would stay there if I flew in and utilized the Collins Ave shuttle to get around to other dining establishments.

The hotel staff was excellent. They went above and beyond, housekeeping, concierge and desk staff were all wonderful made our 9 day stay great. The building, however, the AC and hallway carpets were old and dated. E.g., the AC was blowing 24/7 just to keep the room at a mere 69 degrees. We had an ocean view room and didn't open the balcony door much but still felt humidity in the room. Also, the balcony door didn't close securely; a few nights we had 25mph winds and we heard a loud whistling sound thru the gaps those nights. Also the bathroom did not have a vent or fan which added to humidity in the room. The hotel has convenient parking, with a limited number of spaces mostly for compact cars. I (reserve one before you arrive). I would give a 5-star rating had the rooms been a bit more updated. Otherwise, we had a great stay at a reasonable price and would return again.

Friendly hotel staff. You get wristbands upon check-in for chairs/umbrellas to use on the beach, you also get towels. Parking is not great, they have a lot which I’m sure is always full, we had to park down the street in the Charles st garage which was a little bit of a hike especially with luggage and it was $95 for 2 days. Keurig coffee maker in our room did not work, my husband called front desk and they said they would bring new one, we never got new one and even asked housekeeping for one which we never got, but they did have free coffee/hot chocolate machine in lobby so it was ok. Beach access area was nice, you get one chair per person and 1 umbrella per 2 chairs. We also used the pool area which was also nice and there was a bar/grill there, drinks were good and reasonably priced. Overall good stay, clean room, decent sized balcony with ocean view and restaurants within walking distance. Also a CVS drugstore across the street and a free trolley service if you want to go anywhere else around town.

First few days were good. Following the first three days, cleaners came very early, so we requested new towels but not a room clean. No towels arrived, requested at front desk twice after this, no towels were brought. Room not cleaned for last three days (and towels never brought or replaced despite the requests). Shower gel ran out in this time. Most digits on the safe did not work so unusable. Sockets damaged and loose.

This was a very disappointing trip. All staff were not friendly and willing to accommodate any guests. A few things that had happened: 1. Was not able to check in before 4pm, apparently there was not one room available. At 4pm we went to check in and there was still not a room available. We had to wait until 4:35pm (last checkin time) 2. The day after we arrived, we were told we were a no show yesterday as they were confused why and how we had keys. We had to interrupt our vacation to go downstairs. It was after we asked them to pull our paperwork that was signed to prove we had checked in properly. Where we were told, we were in a room that wasn’t even supposed to be ours. We knew this because we originally booked an ocean view and was told that would be an upgrade so we declined it. 3. Our room was not cleaned at all the second day. 4. The third day our room was cleaned after 4pm, which was making the beds, garbage bins were not taken out and towels were not given. We asked the maid for some in the hallway and was told 5 minutes. After 30 minutes, we went down to the front desk to get some and was told they didn’t have any clean ones and they would bring some up when they did. An hour later, we received a knock on the door with one towel. (We had asked for two) I have never experienced this treatment and also never witnessed so many unhappy guests in the lobby at all times.

We didn't come in with high expectations. We booked this hotel for it's location and price. Location is excellent, right on the beach. They include lounge chair and umbrella rental with your stay. The hotel is run down and service was slow. There were several times when we asked for towels or coffee and no one came. We were willing to pick up these items from the front desk but they didn't have any in stock. Housekeeping staff seemed to be overworked and lacked adequate supplies. (They were friendly but often didn't seem to have what they needed to replenish rooms.) The issues are something that needs to be addressed at the corporate level.

Older hotel obviously but GRT daily rate based on surrounding hotels…we most of all loved the location.. Mid Beach is the best for us. Short walk and your in the Atlantic Ocean beach towels, umbrella , chairs included. The food and drinks were was decent as well. I would recommend this to anyone that wants to be on the ocean but doesn’t need a fancy hotel.

This hotel was a great place to stay was clean and great housekeeping services and always made sure the room was done and clean towels etc the place smelled great they had a scent machine brought out the hotel that made it smell great. The landscaping was great and the location was perfect so close to the beach. When you get to the beach they had two sun chairs for you and beach towels. The hotel was tropical and very clean. We will go back

If you want something better then you have to look for reservations weeks in advance and at a higher cost. The hotel provides the most basic accommodation as a 3-star hotel, however the location makes it an ideal choice compared to other hotels. I booked shortly before my trip, I wanted a hotel with a balcony overlooking the sea and by surprise this hotel gave me that and a pleasant accommodation but without luxuries. The real luxury was the sea view and the location. It was worth the choice.

This was our 3rd visit and it won't be the last for one reason and that's the location. Your breakfast buffet was terrible. Most best western hotels give better free breakfasts than this one for 22 plus fees. For goodness sakes replace the carpets in the hallways. Currently the carpets makes it look rundown. Beach people were nice, pool people were nice, housekeeping was terrible.

Nice middle ground location-pool is small but adequate with a bar where you can order food and drinks. Beach access is nice. Nice and quiet but close enough to South beach that you can bike down for more activity if wanted. Food at the restaurant is mediocre but there are several other places close enough for better selections. Citibike rental kiosk is a block away-that was convenient. Nice place to stay for a few days.

Parking difficult due to one way streets, is behind property. $40 per night. Restaurant meal was poor yet expensive. Other restaurants on street long wait. Boardwalk was cool, and beach close but they take your chair at 6pm. Room decent, no view except block wall for standard room, easy walk to beach. Decent pool with an afternoon bar. Evening bar closed. Wouldnt choose again.

Very nice location right on mid beach. Not a lot of restaurants close by the road outside is chaos’s and dangerous. The restaurant in the hotel it useless we waited over 90min for chicken nuggets and fries. The reception desk staff are friendly especially the young man who checked us in .
