The rooms were small, but the location was wonderful, the staff was great, helped us with our luggage up the stairs as there is no elevator. Did not know there was no elevator, if one had an issue that would be a problem.

Right of the bat, great location! So close to everything, the beach is across the street, restaurants, bars/clubs, and convenience stores all within walking distance. 20 min ride from the airport and a 10 min ride to the cruise ports. The front desk was more than helpful and upgraded our room when our room was not ready, thank you Jorge. My only complaints is that the building is old. No elevator, so lugging 4 suitcases up to the 3rd floor was not fun. Our room faced the street and being on one of the main streets, it was very noisy at night. Overall it was a great room for the price and I look forward to returning again when we take our next cruise.

Very close it was to the beach and restaurants. Easy to find and has a parking lot next to it. The restaurant downstairs was delicious! Has beach towels for guests but not extra pillows.

Segunda vez que ficamos neste hotel. Minha busca é por praticidade, então nada melhor que um hotel próximo a praia e na principal avenida de Miami. O atendente é muito atencioso e sempre nos ajuda com o check-in rápido. Tem um acesso ao hotel por dentro de um restaurante, então café da manha e almoço ja ficam no mesmo local. O hotel oferece tolhas de praia. Boa internet e acesso a estacionamento ao lado, por um custo diário variável.

Ligger i kort gåafstand til alt det man skal se og opleve på Ocean Drive og stranden. Værelse og badeværelse er lille men det fungerer når man lukker kufferterne efter brug. Pengeskabet virkede ikke første dag. Det blev forsøgt løst næste formiddag. 3 af 4 receptionister var meget venlige og imødekommende. Strandhåndklæder udleveres i receptionen. Parkering lige ved siden af hotellet. Perfekt placering i området efter vores behov.

Over all this was a good deal for the area you’re in BUT I think I should have paid more for a nicer accommodation. Staff was nice, check in easy, location right across from beach access and on the “ quieter”side of south beach. Easy to walk to loads of dining and shopping. The building is very outdated. Our room was clean but not in good shape. Tile floors cracked and crumbled. Could not walk on it without at least socks. Old brown thin scratchy bed cover. Mold/ mildew smell strong. Woke up with a very stuffy nose. Walls thin, you WILL hear every word your neighbor says no microwave or fridge or coffee. Air conditioning sucked. This hotel would do better to get a dehumidifier and do some updates/ repairs and just charge more. If you are looking for a south beach hotel on a budget this is it though. We just stayed one night waiting for a cruise. On the way home we spent double the price at a hotel down the street but it was WAY nicer.

I was impressed by smell of cleaning products. My room and the building was cleaned properly, and the beds are spacious. In addition to that, the location is spot on. The beach ⛱️ is directly across from the hotel. Plus, along Ocean Blvd, the food choices are endless 😋. I'll definitely choose Ocean Five Hotel during my next visit to South Beach.

Receptionist was great but the room wasn’t hygienic. Smell from AC and as if mold has taken over. What you see in pictures is not what you get.

There was a weird musty smell in our room. Soap scum on the bathroom glass and you can easily hear outside. The ac was also very loud it kept me up the whole night. It was fine for a night stay

Pros: Very close to the beach, and walkable to everything. The Studio room we stayed in had a proper kitchen with a large fridge, stove, kettle etc. Cons: We stayed in the Studio which was a separate building and a walk-up to the third floor - for me this was fine, but this wasn't mentioned in the original booking. Additionally our room definitely had a mold infestation - we were only there for 3 nights, and barely in the room, but I definitely would have complained if it was a longer stay. You get what you pay for with this one...

Great location, very friendly staff. We were in the second building and it seemed like the walls were paper thin. You could hear everything going on outside of our room. Air conditioner was really loud. If only staying for a couple of nights, I would stay here again.

Excellent location. Close to beach and steps away from several restaurants. Did not care for our queen size bed that was on a platform. Had to be careful not to stub our toes. I would stay here again as I felt we got a good value.

The property was very unique. Room was clean. Didn’t like that it didn’t have a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker or any additional furniture to sit at besides the bed. Room was very minimum. Definitely not a setup for a longer stay than a night or two.

The hotel offered to set us up for transportation to miami port for a cruise. Night manager promised us 6 adults with an infant (carseat) and luggage. They could get us there for $55. I went back to double check that they could get all 7 of us there. We had a rental car that we could have used but decided to save time in the morning and return the car the night before. Next morning car shows up and there isn't close to enough room. They said we needed 2 cars and the cost would be double. We were stuck because we needed to get to the Port and hotel just walked away.

Even though I had a reservation and the clerk saw it in their system there wasn’t a room available when we went to check in. Desk clerk didn’t even apologize or try to assist in finding another hotel close by just told us we would have to contact Expedia. Basically we were to fend for ourselves.

Wonderful hotel, excellent customer service. We arrived with our two kids after a long day of travel and Daniella was wonderful! She got us checked in early and even set up our taxi for the next day to get us to the cruise port! Everyone has been so friendly and I truly appreciate all of you! Thank you!

The property was in the perfect location! Very walkable, very close to everything yet very quiet. A hidden gem. The restaurant had delicious food and the service was spectacular. Offered very early check in after arriving on an early flight. Very hospitable staff. The room was comfortable and just what we needed. Would gladly stay here again.

The AC unit is very loud. Much too loud. Otherwise, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and accomodating. The beach is a 2-3 minute walk away. The hotel provides towels and can reserve a taxi. The staff in the Italian restaurant adjacent/below the hotel was fantastic. The food was good.

There was a strong odor. At first I thought it was chlorine but they have no pool. I realized it was likely mildew. It was clean but aged. Very simple ambiance. Expensive restaurant with very subpar food. Price was reasonable so slightly disappointed but for the price, I don't expect the Ritz.

The Hotel was in a great location, within a 2 minute walk you were at the beach, had restaurants, bars and clubs! You were able to get in and out of the hotel during the night. The hotel has a parking lot right next to it, which you have to pay for. The hotel room itself was clean. It had free soap, shower gel, towels, a TV, a mirror and a functioning air conditioner! It had all you need I’d say. The hotel had a restaurant downstairs which was very convenient. Although I have to say I saw mice in the kitchen restaurant which I told them about and they said they got rid of them the same morning. I never saw mice again. You could also rent Beach Towels for a day for free! All in all I’d say it was a good hotel when you’re on a budget and don’t want to spent too much money.

Lage perfekt! Rezeption super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ocean Café zum Frühstück und Essen der Hammer!!! Zimmer eher spartanisch. Klimaanlage sehr laut, musste man zum schlafen ausmachen.
