This hotel is generally ok, the staff were not brilliant, with the exception of the bar tender at the pool and main bar. The biggest issue is they charge you $45 per day for valet parking, knowing it is Spring Break and you have to walk a block and a half to get your car from a curb side vendor. It’s a complete rip off. I would advise folks not to stay at this hotel during March EVER. The room was ok, the view lovely, but the rip off parking and exorbitant bar prices just doesn’t add up in an average hotel. The staff at breakfast need reeducation in customer service and there was never enough staff on reception. Not a hotel I’d recommend and not one of return to, sorry.

Our room was in the 2nd building, so there is a bit of logistics involved. Also, for some reason the rooftop pool closed an hour early but these are minor issues. Overall I would highly recommend staying at The Tony’s if you like the Ocean Drive vibe. The balcony has added value and is worth the upgrade.

Hotel is directly downtown, so you are right in the heart of town. Nice to walk across the street and be on the beach. Rooftop bar and pool were also nice.

Elevator broken, no one even offered to help with bags, walked up 3 flights to find out my keys didn’t work. There were little dirt piles in the room. Ammenities are nice but the fact that the elevator remained broken all weekend was really ridiculous

Room was spare but we were very comfortable. Loved the lobby and terrace and the pool deck on roof was wonderful. The pool was small but the saltwater was warm and delightful. Good happy hour offered in pool and lobby bar. The staff were excellent and anticipated our needs. The whole place was a peaceful refuge in the busy area of South Beach. We walked everywhere and the beach was gorgeous. Room came with 2 chairs on beach.

This property has the perfect location for walkable dining, shopping and beach. Cannot wait to stay here again. We were in the second building with a beach front, balcony room, it was excellent for people watching. The only thing that would have made it better would have been an ice machine in the building, even though a bucket of ice was just a phone call away, I prefer to get my own. The pool was amazing as was the staff.

Rooftop pool was nice and drinks weren’t too expensive. Rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. Staff was friendly and had great suggestions. Only con was the elevator was down but since it’s only 4 floors, it wasn’t too bad. Highly recommend!

Mixed experience at the Tony... Great location! The inside of the room was pretty nice. Was disappointed that my room was actually in a somewhat run-down annex about a block away from the actual hotel. If you want to use the pool, gym, front desk, etc., then you need to go to the actual hotel. Was surprised by an extra $25 per day resort fee that was apparently mentioned in the fine print. This was an unpleasant surprise at checkout.

Overall a nice stay and would stay here again. Pool closed ea Tues pm after 6, we arrived at 6:30, not happy, but they comped w wine. Not easy to get around w walker due to stairs to front door, ramp hidden around side behind bushes. Back building has Ocean view rooms but more stairs to get into building to elevator. They brought our bags over for us due to difficulty. Old hotel but nice. Smelled great in lobby, lemongrass spray. Staff very nice and helpful. Restaurant on ground flr News Cafe. Across st from beach park w walkway to ocean. No microwave in rm. No hair dryer, but had a safe, fridge, good coffee, nice shower. Held suitcases for us till 2pm wo chrg. Amazing pool area w bar, day couches, view etc. Pd for breakfast but discount and 20% discount at news Cafe. Offered us a temp pool key for afternoon after checked out, but then elevator to pool on 4th floor was broken part of the day. Balcony room was loud by street, people, music noise but quieter after 11, provided ear plugs. Several charging ports both bedsides. Lobby was beautiful.

The staff were very friendly, and extremely helpful. The surroundings of the hotel were well managed and very clean. Our room was lovely with direct access to an outside area. The location of the hotel was perfect and close to all amenities. Thank you

Hotel was kinda gross. Actually, disgusting. Immediately, when we walked into the lobby it smelled…bad. The elevator was not working, nor has it been, they handed us a letter about the crappiness of their elevator (hint, just fix the elevator). The lobby has dirty furniture. And, guess what, so does the room! When we made it the room, the first thing that hits you is the smell - moldy or mildew or something. Please avenge our deaths if we got legionnaires disease (with the courts!). The WORST part of our stay was when I went to take a shower. I turned on the light and squirming around in the (really dirty) light fixture over the shower was a COCKROACH. The furniture in the room was water damaged and beaten up. The curtains were frayed. The bathroom fixtures were corroded and the toilet was cracked. A lamp in the room had a repair in the cord that looked dangerous to me. I tried to get out of our reservation, but no one was available to approve a refund. Of course they weren’t, if I were the boss of that place, I would spend as little time there as I could.

The staff was polite. I felt safe at the hotel. The doors lock at 7 pm and you need key to access. Its close to the beach and to nearby restaurants and nightlife. One thing they need to consider is getting new towels in the rooms and at the pool. They were torn and looked over used. Also, even though they were on top of cleaning I noticed some hair in the shower. Other than that I enjoyed my stay there. All the people there are polite.

We had to wait for half hour to check in because our reservation was not found on their system. Bloody-like stains were on the bathroom wall and one of bathrobes. A bottle of body lotion was bent and seems in use. Upstairs footsteps sounds were clearly heard in a room.

It is one of the best places on South Beach. We had a room with balcony out to Ocean Drive with a fantastic view over the sea and street. The bed was very comfortable but pillows too big for me. Very nice bathroom with huge space. Rooftop with swimming pool very beautiful. Breakfast at the hotel was okay but a bit expensive.

Room was clean. Exceptionally friendly staff. Stayed on the Collins Ave side of the building and so I could hear a lot of noise from the street during the late night hours. Could also hear footsteps pretty easily from the room above. Overall, nice hotel and good staff, but not the quietest.

One very rude front desk woman right from the start at check in. The other woman was very kind and helpful. Very clean rooms but super loud air conditioning that kicks on and off and jolts you out of your sleep. A lot of outside noise and can hear people walking around in the room above your floor. Very close to the beach and an amazing pool on the roof. Overall a nice stay and experience.

We had the suite. It was very comfortable and spacious. I highly recommend it. The front desk staff was very helpful and kind. The lobby was large and nice. The pool and bar were wonderful! The pool and bar staff was exceptional! Beds were cozy. Outdoor patio was gorgeous. Porch is inviting. The bathroom mirror is a bit rusty on the base. The tub jets show water rust. Mirror over tub was worn out... the silver backing was gone on much of it. I would definitely stay here again.

Check in was abysmal. Room wasn't ready until 5pm (which I'm pretty sure isn't even allowed in the industry) and zero accountability for the late check in. Plus while we were waiting patiently in their lobby, they checked in about 3 other people that happened to just walk in. Customer service was rubbish.

On check in we inquired about late check out. Sure, no problem, confirm in the morning, was the answer. In the morning: no way, and on top I'm being told that I didn't understand the clerk from the previous night. Excellent, exactly the way to make a guest happy. And then housekeeping comes nocking 1 hour before check out time. Even better.

Wonderful boutique hotel in the heart of south beach, friendly helpful staff in all areas from housekeeping to pool attendants to reception and concierge all were fantastic. Location was spot on. We did the Everglades trip and booked through concierge, total value for money and picked up and dropped off right outside the hotel. Totally Recommend The Tony Hotel.

The whole experience was amazing! From the time we asked to check in early until our late checkout! They let us check in early and then gave us access to the pool and a discount card for the restaurant so we could wait for the room to be clean. Amanda at the front desk was in training but seemed like a seasoned pro! Domingo was the concierge and was amazing and so friendly! He walked us to our room and made sure that we didn’t need anything. The room was spacious, clean and updated! The bed was comfy and the shower was perfect. We only stayed one night but will return. We were leaving for a cruise the next day and were able to check out an hour later. They kept our luggage for us until we left for the port. The front desk even offered pool access until we left for the cruise. The staff went above and beyond!

The hotel and staff were wonderful! Room was clean and bathroom was amazing! We had a king room with a veranda facing the beach. The room type probably wasn’t the best choice. View was great, but the street noise was a bit much. Kudos to the hotel for providing ear plugs! Overall experience was great!

Lovely lobby and clean room. Beautiful large bathroom with waterfall shower. The water temperature was difficult to figure out and the faucet was hard to move. The pool area was lovely. The “happy hour” drinks and snacks were a bit overpriced. I'd definitely skip the overpriced tiny appetizers. The poolside staff were t very helpful with seating and setting up umbrellas. Pool water is very cold. Right across the street from the beach! Mexican restaurant was great

Loved the convenient location of the hotel. The entire staff was very nice and welcoming. The lobby smelled amazing. The food and drinks at the rooftop pool bar very amazing. The bartender and waitress were extremely nice and attentive. Highly recommend! We will definitely stay there again!

The Tony was the perfect place for a quick romantic getaway. Our ocean front room had all the amenities we needed, comfortable bed, very spacious, amazing view and great people watching. The staff at the front desk, concierge (Domingo)& the pool (Jesus)and the vibes in the lobby were all immaculate. The location is convenient to the beach and tons of restaurants we really enjoyed both The News Cafe, and Oh! Mexico (both right next door and they offer discounts for hotel guests). We will definitely be back!

Overall a great choice for a South Beach stay! Service was excellent, the rooftop pool is perfect, my room was spacious and the “Oh! Mexico” restaurant was outstanding. My coffee maker in the room was broken but I was able to grab a coffee downstairs and it was replaced promptly. Condition was slightly worn but well maintained, the Wish Cafe had closed early due to staffing and the pool has limited hours for deep cleaning on Tuesdays FYI. Great balance of amenities, location and value in South Beach, would stay again.

Location is perfect for visiting South Beach! The rooftop pool is an absolute must visit, and the cocktails were lovely! You do get access to sun beds on the beach, but we were disappointed that this didn't include an umbrella. Other than that, we can't fault our stay at all! The staff were really friendly and the room was immaculate. We'd definitely return to The Tony!
