Room was beautiful and clean. Everything functioned properly. The staff was cheerful, respectful, and professional. Each had a great smile and warm personality. Our only issue was the size of the bathroom. It had a great tub and a fully functioning jacuzzi but it was small. Very small. Also, the mixer handle of the shower/tub was not functioning properly. Turned to the top it was off. Turn it to the left it went from cold to colder. Turn it back to the top the water would stop. Now turn it to the right and it would start out scalding hot and as you turned it all the way to the right it would be very hot. There was no way of getting a comfortable mixture of warm water. I ended taking extremely hot showers. Not fun. But otherwise the accommodations were excellent and I would be happy to return and recommend this place to my friends. (Of course I would give them a heads up about the shower and tell them to see if other rooms have a larger bathroom.) Also, I really enjoyed your swimming pool. Very refreshing.

Room was supposedly smoke free, but wreaked of undistinguishable smell, even worse when air-conditioning was on. Told front desk clerk, who came and sprayed Glad apple bathroom spray on the rug-which didn't even begin to mask the smell. Also the beds seemed damp/clammy, and the room was very outdated. Unfortunately they didn't have any other rooms or nearby hotels, so we had to endure the night the best that we could. The fee to stay was not offered to be waived, but merely $20 taken off of the bill. I would definitely not recommend to others, or stay again myself.

We did not get our room cleaned for two days even when the tag on the front door asked for service. Our toilet waa small and very low, but perfect for our 6 year old. We stayed there before and I dont recall the same. Maybe some rooms vary

This property is not clean or well maintained. The pillowcases had brown spots on them, and the bed’s headboard had a white substance smeared all over it. Unfortunately, there are very few other lodging choices in this part of NY state, so this Best Western is also appallingly expensive.

It was very noisy due to, 1) ice machine in the hallway. It constantly produced ice and 2) our room was right above the hotel's main ac unit. I called to complain and the woman at the front desk told me that that's no bother. Nobody complained before and she is standing right next to it, and it doesn't bother her at all. Too bad it's bothering me, and there is nothing she can do about

It’s an odd place is the best way I can describe the property. It’s not dirty but it looks dirty due to old fashion style sinks, furniture, the carpet is awful . Huge gap under my door . No sink in bathroom. My room felt like it was a carpeted garage it was just all odd . Would not stay again

The property has a very nice room and so no complaints there. But sound isolation is not good - we were on the first floor (not recommended) and activities in the recreation area were easily heard. More troubling than that by far is the ease by which sounds from overhead intrude upon your space, especially if you have adults above who seem oblivious to expected behavior while in a hotel. The front desk help did quell the action above so that there was needed quiet beginning around 10:30 PM. Breakfast is in a place of few tables and very crowded conditions, but there was nice variety of foods, including fresh oatmeal, not just packets of instant stuff.

Our room was spacious and with an unexpected balcony. The noise level was quite low which allowed for a good night’s sleep. Breakfast was one of the better ones we have experienced. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Restaurant next door was good. Short distance to Bethel Woods. All around a great experience!

We stayed here for 3 days/2 nights to attend a concert at Bethel Woods. It’s about 15 minutes away, straight down Hwy 17B along part of the Woodstock Heritage Trail. We arrive about an hour and a half before check in, so we asked if early check in was available. We were able to! The front desk staff member was friendly and helpful, and put us on the same floor and section with concert goers. They also gave restaurant recommendations. The room was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. The shower had great water pressure. Continental breakfast was included. The food was selection was very good (fruits, yogurt, waffles, oatmeal, bagels, muffins, eggs, sausage and bacon). Staff was very quickly to keep everything stocked and clean, and were very nice. There is a pool and sauna, but I can’t review them because we unfortunately forgot our swimwear. There were people swimming, though, and they seemed to be enjoying themselves. The only drawback was that there wasn’t 24 hour access to coffee hot water for tea, except the small coffee maker in the room. There is a diner around the corner with excellent food and friendly staff that will give you tips if you’re attending a concert at Bethel Woods for the first time. There is also an Italian restaurant right next door, Colossio’s. It was AMAZING!

When we checked in AC was not on in room and the room smelled very musty. Bathroom was incredibly small. There wasn’t a “Do not disturb” placard for door so I found housekeeping in hallway and got one from then. We had it on our door when we left the next morning and when we returned that evening it was gone and housekeepers has been in our room. I went to front desk and got another placard. Placed on door again and same thing returned that evening and placard was gone. Found same housekeeper in hall and she accused me of taking it off!

We came to stay here because it it close to Bethel Woods. We had booked a room with a king-size bed but they were overbooked. But the 2 staff on duty were so kind and looked for solutions and ended up giving us the honeymoon suite at no extra charge. Many thanks and appreciation to Nestor and Grace! You made our stay wonderful and we will be back!

Booked a month in advance by mistake wro g location . When i called within 24 hrs to cancel tbey said no refunds! When i asked for a credit they said no credit! The man on the phone was rude and disrespectful. When i tried to make him understand my side he hung up . When i called back tjey hung up again. I will never ever use a best western again and i will let the world know Beware of the best Western in Monticello. Terrible!!!

We were in town for a quick stay for a wedding nearby. The location was easy to find, right off the highway and the staff were very friendly! The room was a bit dated, but that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. Everything was clean, beds were comfy enough. I took advantage of the breakfast, which was a simple one, but still delicious.
