The service was very good and friendly. The fitness room in the tower had dated equipment, some rusty. Food and restaurants were very good though we were sad that the Hatsuhana closed. We were also sad that the spa area of the Mandara Spa was no longer open.

For the price of this stay the facilities need some upgrading. The pool was like cloud to how dirty it was. The food was like Mcdonalds but with a 5 star restaurant pricing. Also $100 for valet was ridiculous. Would probably never stay at this property again. Not worth the price at all.

Amazing view from our top floor room, lots of dining options, as well as shopping. The fittings in our tower and room were a bit tired and worn and due for an update. The 2nd floor pool in the Alii tower was missing tiles and had just been patched. The bar had limited hours and only a limited food menu.

Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Our room was on the beach side and at the top of the hotel (there are multiple towers, we stayed at Tapa Towers) and the view was AMAZING. Staff were nice and common areas were clean and well maintained. There were a number of food options at the hotel and within walking distance to the hotel (10-20 minute walk). We enjoyed walking to Eggs N'Things for breakfast (get there early otherwise you will have to wait) and Ginza Bairin Tonkatsu & Yoshoku Bistro for dinner (great chicken katsu). There is a kid pool with slides for the kids and adults to go down, a lagoon where you can rent pool bikes and paddle boards, two other "normal" pools, and obviously the beach (lots to choose from). We have two kids, 4 and 7, and they liked going to each of the aquatic areas. There are a lot of people who go to the pools and only limited seating. I wish that the pool had areas to put your items in (maybe a cubby or something where the towels are) as we would frequently go to a pool area and stand around looking to put down our stuff before heading to the pool. So get there early. Additionally, i was disappointed to find out that of the three slides in the kids swimming area 1 wasnt working. Of the two slides that were operating they had very small windows of operation. One opened from 10am or 11am through 2pm and the other from 2pm to 5pm (or something like that). I wish the hotel had expanded hours.

The property was extremely crowded, there were inadequate food choices in the area, staff was not accommodating, and amenities advertised were not available as promised. The costs for use of water equipment was ridiculously high, and items such as float tubes had to be purchased. Who wants to purchase an innertube that will have to be discarded when leaving the property? Why were the waterslides unavailable the entire time we were there? Really disappointed.

The room was infested with ants all over the towels, wall, and beds. When we asked for a new room, they said none were available but they would give us a $50 credit for snacks (which they never gave us). After multiple phone calls to multiple managers, we finally got a different room for the remaining nights. When we tried to used the ironing board, it fell apart and ripped my sons favorite shirt. The pools were cool but also very cold compared to the beach right next to them. The room keys came with a coupon to turn in to the concierge for a free gift bag or island snack. They said they were out of both and don't even carry the snacks anymore. Just before leaving for the airport, we wanted one last look out on the balcony. Somehow when closing the sliding glass door behind us the metal hook fell perfectly into place locking us with our two kids out on the 27th floor balcony in the dark at 4am. Many thanks to the security team that finally saved us.

Room was clean but for renovated hotel probably not recently. Dents in walls. Cockroach on elevator door. Couldn’t get into our room because battery died, had to wait for someone to come up & fix. Was charged twice for hotel fees and had to pay for parking $80 per night. Paid for ocean view NOT WORTH IT.

We arrived early so we had to pay an extra $75 too check-in. Our room was on the 22nd floor and the view of the ocean was excellent. We then noticed that our room had not been vacuumed, the bathroom counter and sink were dusty and stained. The bottom corner of the bathroom door appeared to be damaged and poorly patched and the bathtub had a large black stain. We contacted the front desk twice by phone and once in person and asked for someone to properly clean the room....... NOTHING happened. One day the cleaning crew removed all our bath towels and only left one for 3 adults. We called the front desk and it took hours before more towels were delivered. The only reason I mentioned all the issues above is because this is an expensive hotel that left a lot to desire.

The pools were very dirty and over crowded, there was no wait service near the pools or lagoon even if you rented a cabana. However the Bali restaurant was excellent and our waitress was amazing. Tropics grill was also very good. Rooms were okay nothing fancy but the ocean view was very nice.

Our bed was so bad! Like they needed new mattresses five years ago. Aside from the terrible mattress we checked into our room and it had not been properly cleaned. The floors were filthy, spilled rice, candy wrappers, they also had not cleaned the mirrors or mopped the bathrooms. The room was quite dirty. I called the front desk and they said they would send up someone to clean… The woman who came to clean said she did not have time to cleanup that mess and told me to call the front desk and ask for a room change. We asked for a room change and front desk would not comply. They offered us a downgrade from the current one bedroom suite we had on the 14th floor. After a lot of mess, think two managers coming into my room to take pictures of the floor, the place did get cleaned up. It was a pretty rocky start to our vacation. The place feels pretty rundown, even the elevators have scratched up walls that feel and look very dumpy. The tapa bar outside of our tower served us completely overcooked hard as a rock no salt waffle fries for I sh1t you not, $13. We did not want any more food on the property after that experience. We ended up finding food carts and restaurants outside of the village. Overall, it’s so close to such a beautiful beach. It’s easy to overlook our unfortunate experience there. We did love Hawaii though.

We had a great time here. Convenient location and the pools were cleaned every morning. The rooms in the rainbow tower, however are outdated and dirty. When we arrived there were dirty splash marks all over the walls and mirrors. Overall, room felt extremely dirty.

The room was very clean and tidy. They're going through and renovating each individual room so stay in one of the unrenovated rooms but it was still a nice and clean place to rest each night and relax in. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Plenty of pools to explore and relax if one is too busy. Lots of options for food and shopping near or a short walk. The ocean view was beautiful and the balcony was nice to hangout in the morning before the sun hits it. The onsite restaurants are okay for a quick bite or last minute option but mid. Lots of places near by to grab a cold drink or snacks. Over all highly recommend this location for a family friendly spot with plenty of close amenities.

We stayed here for two nights while passing through to the big island. Our room was comfortable and clean. It wasnt anything "special" but was everything we look for in a hotel. The beach is right there. The resort / area around is extremely busy. The ocean view was the best we had the entire trip. - no obstruction. We would definitely stay here again.

I booked an oceanfront room. We were given room 1127, and while yes, you can see the ocean, it was mostly pool view and very loud. I wished I would’ve just booked ocean view and payed less money for this stay. I also wish the parking fees were included in the resort fee. The room has not been updated. The positives include good food, easy to walk the area, and beach access.

The ocean view was amazing. The rooms are small and outdated for the price you pay. I didn't like that there weren't microwaves in the room or accessible. They did have a mini fridge. Everything was so expensive, so it would be nice to warm up leftover food instead of throwing it away, and having to purchase $30+ meals each time.

I booked an ocean view room at the Tapa tower, the pictures shows exactly that OCEAN VIEW, The view I got grom my room sliding door was of a huge concrete building tower thats all! I had to confirm that I was in the right room, I was told I was in an ocean view room I just need to step out into the balcany and look to my left !!!! NOT exaclty what i had in mind when I booked an OCEAN VIEW room.

In need of major updating, rooms have wall to wall carpet (not ideal for a beach hotel) and bathrooms are old, both in the room but specially the ones near the pool area. Place is really crowded, with several pools all full and is difficult to find seating. The hotel is too isolated for us, far away from the main strip, restaurants, stores, etc.

The room was absolutely fantastic and newly renovated with an exceptional view. The resort is huge and since we were there in high season it was absolutely packed and it gave the resort a slightly manic feel that wasn’t always so relaxing. No pool seats available, staff run off their feet, that kind of thing. But I imagine if you’re there during a more off-peak time to travel to Hawaii then I imagine it’s lovely. If I could wish for a change around the resort it would be to do away with some of the clothing and knick knack stores that no one seems to frequent in favour of some more useful stores, like a pharmacy and some more little cafe-like outlets. Room: 10/10, resort: 7/10.

Hilton is ok. Rainbow tower needs renovation for sure. I was booked for Kalia tower ocean view and then was told that I am “upgraded” to rainbow tower. Don’t let that fool you. It is not upgrade it is actually downgrade. Rainbow tower was built on 1968 and very old and lots of area needs improvement and kalia tower was built on 2001 and it is much better condition. I get fool. But I get fool by them one time and that was it. My room is 704 in rainbow tower, I need to say that my daily cleaning lady did absolutely the minimum everyday, I don’t remember her name, but if property manager can find out, please talk to her. It is really bare minimum cleaning. After she cleans I still saw sands on the bed, shampoo was out for two days and no refill. We always out of toilet paper, I would say she is the lazinest person I have never seen

For the cost of the room, the parking, and all of the fees they squeeze in, I would have expected a much nicer and updated room. I was out in the Diamond Head Tower and the room is very outdated and feels quite aged. The WiFi is extremely slow, too. The views from the balcony are great, though.

Yes the shops be they be restaurant or Apparel were delightful; but our biggest challenge was checking in on a Friday afternoon, I believe check in is at 4:00, and it too us an hour and a half to check in...it was ridiculous how long the line was! From what I understand the "Fire Work Show" on Friday night brings in a lot of people to the hotel not necessarily to stay, but to "hang" for the Fire Work Show. Some type of "heads up" would have been appreciated, my son would have loved to have been i. the pool instead of standing in line! There was no one to explain the wait time.

The hotel is a perfect destination to families esp to first timers. Everything is accessible. I also wanna gove a shout out to Caeser of front desk for making our accommodation the best experience. He was able to put us in a room where I was able to relax physically and mentally. Thank you for making this vacation experience a memorable one.

Context: I stay in a large variety of hotels in large and small towns of all brands. For the money, the hotel wasn't worth it. The pools were nice but the lagoon was underwhelming. We were led to believe that paddleboards and the like were included for lagoon use, only to be hit with the highest rental rates on the beach. The room also wouldn't cool below 73, the towels were rough, and the "newly renovated" tower didn't look all that new. Finally, staff was nice, but not really all that helpful outside of the bartenders at Tapa tower who were great. My advice: if you're going to drop $300+ per night on your vacation, do so elsewhere.

Over all stay way fair. The resort is so big you can literally just stay on resort and enjoy yourself. There were multiple run in with rude staff which is unfortunate since my family and party of 10+ guest were here celebrating a 25 year wedding anniversary. Staff working the counter in the shaved ice station next to Ali tower were extremely rude, along with 2 young ladies at activity booking desk. Will most likely not stay here for our next trip back to Hawaii.

I really liked the convenience of all the shopping, food etc… Tropics restaurant had amazing view good food. My kids loved the ABC store had everything we needed. I was just disappointed when we checked in. We had paid for our package and upgraded the room but when we arrived they couldnt find the upgrade! I had proof through text they saw it and just couldnt find us a comparable room. We had booked the renovated rooms and we ended up with an old room. Smaller beds and AC wasn’t consistent. Shower knobs were damaged. The furniture was old chipoed. Was not happy with that. The beach was amazing!

Rainbow Tower with a harbor/luau view is great, thank you Cheryl. The spam musabi at ABC was always hot and fresh, thanks guys. The Jeep from Enterprise was awesome thank you. Uber was super convenient with very close pick up and drop off. Walkable to all the shopping, parks, beaches and restaurants that we wanted to see. Housekeeping did a thorough job of cleaning and no issues with our room. Overall it was great. No complaints. We’ll be back next year.

Beware of false promises from this hotel. I was given a sheet with a checked marked credit of $35 per day! As a Hilton rewards member. I missed placed my paper in my room. So i called from desk to ask the amount of the credit promised as i couldn't find the sheet. So they could only tell me that no credit was visible. At check out day i found the sheet and i took it with me and spoke with the supervisor on the clock to see what they can do for me as i didn't use it because was told i didn't have any. Before giving me $50 credit lol..he insulted me ..he said" you could of just picked that form up the floor!! Could not believe he said that to me. So unprofessional!! So he ware with unprofessional staff..would not return

This is my second time in 2 years staying here with my kids and parents. (I had no intention of coming back so soon and ended up postponing another trip to come back here.) The convenience of the hotel / village / beach for family is the reason! This convenience allowed us to do so much more than we would have been able to otherwise. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else with my family! I highly recommend for families/ those who are not renting a car for your stay as everything is within walking distance. (if you want to rent a car for a day enterprise is in the village/walking distance.).

The location was easy offering lots of dining options within walking distance. The beaches attached to the resort were great. The facilities were clean. We enjoyed the pools, beach and lagoon options. Central enough to Waikiki to walk and enjoy local shopping venues. The prices within the resort restaurants were pretty inflated.

Need to put this first as it is a very important note I overlooked and I am sure many overlook. Parking a vehicle here is going to cost you big $$$. Almost a $1000 for a week. Make sure you consider that cost as you decide where to book. Othwrwise its a nice property with great beach location. Very crowded because of this. It also offers a good selextion food, stores and a couple bars on sight. As you would expect all food options and stores are extremely over priced.

The facility is really old, and still with tons of people. Elevator took a very long time to wait! It is a very busy resort and most things took a long time, thus allocate extra time for anything. Few staff were helpful, most are not! Pool closes at 9pm which is considered very early as the music plays until 10pm. Another thing to note is that they do not have a separate check out line. It is the same with check in line and as you know it is very long. Therefore, if you need to catch a flight, then get in line an hour before if you want to check out in person.
