The pool was filthy (dirty and cloudy) and unswimmable. The gym equipment was terrible - two machines broken, tv not working, the shower needed new caulk, no tea bags at the breakfast (personal pet peeve). The staff was wonderful - that was the bright positive. Parking area was behind a tall gate to help deter breakins to cars. Would not recommend staying here

Got room keys went to 2nd floor keys didn't work. Reprogrammed, still didn't. Manager came up and opened with her key. Gave me another set which also didn't work. Had to be let in by family every time i walked out. Side door to parking lot doesn't close or lock so security isn't the best. However the gated parking area was a plus. Hallway floors dirty, ice machine broken. Breakfast ok but very little seating. Staff was friendly and tried to help with key issue until i gave up. I told them it was the door and not the keys.

This is the third year that we have stayed at this location for a week during the state basketball tournament. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was that the gate was open the majority of the time. That security measure is one of the main reasons we stay at this hotel for the week. The breakfast, as always, was great. Other than the gate being open, the stay was perfect for this trip.

Friendly staff, seem attentive and responsible, breakfast was clean and plenty of options, organized and quick check in/out, clean, quiet, ice machine on both floors, walking distance to Circle K that has a little of everything, hotel was renovated and seems to be improving more daily, internet in room was okay, but 4 times faster in lobby if doing super heavy work.

Overall, the hotel was nice for what we needed. Our refrigerator didn’t work, and it took them 4 days to replace it with one that did. They are upgrading some of the rooms so there was a lot of stuff in the halls. The breakfast was great every morning!

Me and my family was stuck in the elevator for about an hour. The fire department was needed to pull me and my family out of the elevator. My wife leg was cut while being pulled out of the elevator The elevator call button did not work and no one would answer the phone when we called the front desk with our cell phone. The fire alarm kept churping in the first room assigned to us.The water came out brown in the sink and shower in both rooms assigned to us. I am still awaiting my refund.

Easy check-in and I appreciate it that the parking lot was behind a gate. Staff was really friendly and helpful. The area is close to a freeway exit and a couple of fast food spots, so if you’re looking more for a quiet place to stop over on your way somewhere else or you plan to be out most of the day anyway, this is a good spot for that. The pool was “closed for the season” which seemed weird since it was around 80 degrees out, but everything else was fine.

My stay at this location was extremely disappointing. The hotel was dirty, poorly maintained, and appeared to have only one person responsible for the entire building. The first room I was checked into had clearly never been cleaned. After being moved, the second room was just as bad—dirty bedding with yellow stains and burnt smoking marks, and the TV didn’t even work. I was then moved a third time, and while that room was slightly better, the bedding still had stains. At that point, I was just speechless with how bad the overall experience had been. Beyond the rooms, the hallways were consistently dirty, and trash cans throughout the property were overflowing. This is not at all what I would expect from a Best Western Plus. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve had, and I would not recommend this location to anyone.

The toliet was not clean it had black mold in it. The bed you can tell it was old it hurt my back. The service was excellent. The only other bad thing was in the hall way where the rooms were smelt like straight Marijuana.

Outdated furniture in the sitting area not so clean. No working ice machine, dirty elevator. Awesome some staff, very helpful and friendly. The carpet in our rooms was visible dirty need to be replaced ASAP!! Need to incorporate Happy hour examples free popcorn, appetizers soft drinks.

We arrived to find that the pull out bed had bed bug covers on it and they were disugusting. No idea what was on them but it was gross. The AC didnt really work. It barely cooled it a little. It is a no smoking facility and we found a half smoked ciagarette and a package of cigars in a drawer. They ran out of everything for breakfast. No plates one day, no eggs another day, no bacon ever. The breakfast staff was not very nice. I will say the desk staff was great!!! They apologized for state of the room and did their best to help us.

We have stayed here several times through the years while working the dixie national rodeo. This time we could tell that there had been extensive renovation to the first floor, but the second floor needed renovation as well. The mattress literally sank to the bed supports when I laid on it.

Parking lot is gated, which helps. The air conditioner made a high pitched cricket-like noise the entire night and I couldn’t sleep. The sink was stopped up. The toilet/bathroom smelled like sewage and water was murky. Door bolt didn’t work. The microwave didn’t work and had food from previous guests in it. Overall, bad experience. Pay an extra $20 a night and stay in a better hotel. Staff was very nice though.

Easy check in & very friendly staff. Room was clean but pillows are too soft & sink in. I wish they were firmer. There is a great Jazz restaurant & lounge called Hal Mals about 5min driving distance from here. Please be sure to make reservations on Tuesdays.

The hotel itself is fine. The front area and my room were very clean and welcoming. The breakfast is OK. The lady running it today did a great job of making sure the food was hot and fresh. I would of liked some other options of fruit and muffins, but that is me. There are not many places to eat right around the hotel and it is not in the greatest, safest area of town. My room was very comfortable with a nice big bed and a couch and chair to sit in after a long day at work. the TV channel options are too few for my taste. With all the above stated, I would stay there again.

Jacksonville isn’t a good area but this hotel has a gate around the parking lot to give extra safety to your vehicle. The rooms seem to be newly remodeled and are extremely nice. The outside was under construction due to a remodel. The lady at night was just meh but the lady in the morning was a delight. We’d stay again if ever in the area. The room was better than the Hampton which is one of my favorites!

I did not like the fact that for over 7 days I had no hot water. I was told by the front desk staff that they were working to resolve the issue and that there were delays with a part shipped through FedEx. Later in the weak, I was told that Management was working diligently to resolve the issue. At the end of my stay, I was told by the front desk staff that, " since I knew that there was not hot water, I should have moved to another hotel. They told me that they would not give me any refunds, nor would they compensate me in any way for the inconvenience." I had to take a shower the best I could with no hot water for over 7 days. I asked for management to contact me throughout my stay. I never received a call nor any apology from management nor the front desk staff. They acted like it was my fault. I am still waiting on an apology from management or some form of compensation. To me, it was a breach of contract. I did not receive the services that I paid for.

This was pretty bad. Check-in staff member was on a personal phone call the entire time we were checking in. Then, not kidding, we went upstairs and there was someone already occupying the room we were booked into. After we finally got another room, the bedside lamp in the room made this insanely annoying high pitch ringing like a mosquito, so had to keep it off the whole time. Next morning, said a passing "hello" to a maid, and received a silent glare in return. Couldn't find a single staff member to ask a question about the breakfast the next morning. I'd recommend staying here ONLY if you're on a budget, and even then, there are equally affordable options in the same area, so be warned.

We booked 3 rooms through Expedia and upon arrival were told they didn’t have 3 rooms available and the front desk clerk was being extremely rude. We showed her our reservation email and all. It took a call from an Expedia agent to get our rooms. The hotel itself was great; but never again.

Easy check in & very friendly staff. Room was clean but pillows are too soft & sink in. I wish they were firmer. There is a great Jazz restaurant & lounge called Hal Mals about 5min driving distance from here. Please be sure to make reservations on Tuesdays.

Easy check-in and I appreciate it that the parking lot was behind a gate. Staff was really friendly and helpful. The area is close to a freeway exit and a couple of fast food spots, so if you’re looking more for a quiet place to stop over on your way somewhere else or you plan to be out most of the day anyway, this is a good spot for that. The pool was “closed for the season” which seemed weird since it was around 80 degrees out, but everything else was fine.

The hotel itself is fine. The front area and my room were very clean and welcoming. The breakfast is OK. The lady running it today did a great job of making sure the food was hot and fresh. I would of liked some other options of fruit and muffins, but that is me. There are not many places to eat right around the hotel and it is not in the greatest, safest area of town. My room was very comfortable with a nice big bed and a couch and chair to sit in after a long day at work. the TV channel options are too few for my taste. With all the above stated, I would stay there again.

This is the third year that we have stayed at this location for a week during the state basketball tournament. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was that the gate was open the majority of the time. That security measure is one of the main reasons we stay at this hotel for the week. The breakfast, as always, was great. Other than the gate being open, the stay was perfect for this trip.

We arrived to find that the pull out bed had bed bug covers on it and they were disugusting. No idea what was on them but it was gross. The AC didnt really work. It barely cooled it a little. It is a no smoking facility and we found a half smoked ciagarette and a package of cigars in a drawer. They ran out of everything for breakfast. No plates one day, no eggs another day, no bacon ever. The breakfast staff was not very nice. I will say the desk staff was great!!! They apologized for state of the room and did their best to help us.
