I have stayed at Embassy Suites by PDX many times. This is the first time I have had a less than stellar experience. Two things contributed to this: 1. Embassy Suites previously did not charge for parking. They now charge $20 per night, but this was not clearly advertised, so it was a surprise charge at check in. 2. Embassy Suites had part of their parking lot partially closed off for replacing it a treatment of some sort. Part of the repaved area was open when I drove in to park around 7:00pm. I parked and a workman ran at my car and yelled at me to leave the area. He was dirty and not in a uniform, so I at first thought he was homeless and experiencing a mental break. My son was frightened due to his appearance and yelling. Once we realized he was a workman and that the area we parked was supposed to be closed off, we moved the car. It was a startling experience however. I believe the worker was a subcontractor and not a direct employee of the hotel, but is was definitely a negative experience that made me feel less safe on the premises.

Property was nice but when we came back to park in the evening, there were no parking spots left. Embassy Suites charges 20 dollars a night to park, so there should be parking spots avaliable.

Free shuttle from the airport. 2 free drinks and light snacks every 5pm-6:30pm. Free breakfast with lots of options. Hands down a great place! You can’t go wrong.

Pool was out of service so that was a bummer. Front desk told us to go to a sister hotel(holiday inn) but it’s hard for us to go else where with a baby and a toddler. Also ice machine was out of ice. :/

The property is old, tired and in need of refreshing. We were here two nights, the first as individuals the second as guests of the American Cruise Line. So two different entities occupied the same room on consecutive nights, yet the room was not cleaned on resupplied in between. Also we were NOT given any indication it would not be made ready. Upon arriving for the second nights stay we found the room in poor condition and made four trips to the desk to take of the following: The key wouldn’t work No towels No coffee pods No coffee cups

I was not informed at check in that housekeeping had to be requested. I came back to my hotel in the evening to find the room the same and jad to go to the front desk. Parking is not free. I called in advance to let them know I had dogs. In most hotels guests with pets are on the first floor. We were on the fourth floor. Not a good experience.

The hotel was comfortable, staff was friendly, very close proximity to the airport. Bathroom could use some more attention to detail with cleaning. Stray hairs very visible in the corners on the floor. Facility is showing signs of wear. Parking was confusing. I paid on my phone upon parking and upon check-in told staff I had paid via phone and she said ok - did not ask to see my receipt. Now I see I have a separate parking charge from the hotel for parking and must pursue a refund. Ugh!!

1st room. Ac was broken. Took over an hour to have someone look at 2nd room smelled like cigarette smoke, food all over the floor and had stains on couch. 3rd room was clean. But since it was so late the ac didn’t cool room off for us to sleep comfortably

Our bathroom was covered in whiskers and hair. It was disgusting! The amount of money we paid for a tiny, dirty room was insane. I never write reviews but this place deserved one. They are supposed to refund us but still havent received anything. The only highlight was the airport shuttle was fabulous.

Our room fit our needs well, but our room was never serviced. We came back to unmade beds and a full garbage can. We had to call to get fresh towels. For what we paid, the rooms should be at least refreshed every day.

Room was beautiful, enormous and clean--great set up! Bed was super comfortable, bathroom also large. While we were not there for more than a fast stop before a flight, it was more than enough and we will return next time we're in this area!

Thia hotel is beautiful, the room was nice but a little rough around the edges...the bed was amazingly comfortable. However, the heater in my room #803 was horrifically loud. Every time it kicked on it sounded like a jet engine with a faulty blade.

Amazing location. We really enjoyed the atrium, the room layout, the pool and the quality of the breakfast options. The one drawback was the small size of the double beds. Two queens seems more appropriate for this type of hotel.

The staff is great, room was large and clean but it is next to PDX airport and the roar of airplane engines taking off is incredibly loud and made sleeping nearly impossible. Great place if you have noise canceling headphones.

Very nice hotel. The room (Suite with double beds and sofa bed) was really comfortable. The living space is big. It has a sofa bed, a dining table, a wet bar and a tv. The double beds are smaller than a queen size but we slept very well. There is also a tv in the bedroom and a door between the 2 spaces so it was nice to have the kids watch a movie in the bedroom while I was relaxing in the other watching a show with a glass of wine after a long day of traveling. I really recommend it.

Unbelievable amenities for a fair price. Excellent fresh breakfast buffet included. Omelet station, all breakfast item's otherwise offered. Staff was fantastic. Notably Tracy and Cherie at the front desk, Robert, housekeeping and Robbie, shuttle driver. Room was spacious, king suite on the sixth floor. Christian at the Water Bar was awesome. Friendly, accommodating and a great bartender. Food on the menu was delicious. Overall, great hotel and reasonable rates considering the amenities. Highly recommend.

The property is close to the airport, with shuttles regularly running back and forth. That is so convenient. Breakfast is great, with many options. The staff were super helpful and friendly! The woman at the front desk when we checked in and out, and in between, remembered our name and was cheerful. The gentleman who made the omelets was also friendly and efficient - and the omelets tasted great! The woman who drove us in the shuttle to the airport was also very helpful - we came downstairs a few minutes early and she said she could run us over to the airport right away. We were able to get a cup of coffee at the airport since we had a few extra minutes! Thanks to all!

Very friendly and attentive staff. The irritation of noisy neighbors (some kids) was attended to quickly right after calling front desk at 1:30 a.m. Really nice experience overall. Will come again!

We go to portland atleast once a month. We are a big fan of hiltons. Overall hotel is wonderful for the free breakfast, very comfortable beds and spacious rooms but the weekend before last my boyfriend and i stayed there and the next morning i was looking all over for the ice machine and a housekeeper that clearly saw me looking for a ice machine(i had an ice chest on top of a cart), threw his hands up before i could ask where it was and said no no dont ask me, ice machine isnt up here. Very rude. Most of the time house keepers are rude and wont help and cant understand what im asking. Not happy with this last visit at all and honestly dont know if i want to go back there again because i am fed up of the rude unhelpful housekeepers

Breakfast was excellent. The parking situation isn't mentioned. The parking is ran by a different company...However, I believe the front desk assisted us with this. Also, our bathroom toilet flooded the first morning, however, the engineering department came and fixed it right away....This is a beautiful hotel, and very close to the airport.

Our trip had been completely derailed by the airline, leading to significant delays and stress. By the time we finally arrived at the hotel early in the morning, we were tired, frustrated, and anxious. But Sherie immediately turned things around for us. She greeted us with such warmth and empathy, and it was clear from the start that she genuinely cared about making sure we were comfortable. Despite the chaos we had endured, Sherie quickly got us into our clean room right on time, which was an immense relief. Her thoughtfulness, combined with her outstanding professionalism, transformed what could have been a nightmare of a trip into a much more pleasant experience. Overall things went well however with the pool out of service was a bummer for my kids. Also the beds are pretty stiff to sleep on. Other than that are stay was good pleasant. Oh how can i forget about the amazing breakfast spread. It is by far the best breakfast at a hotel i have had in a while. I’ll come back just for that!

This Portland airport hotel is my fav. Friendly people, easy and fast to get to the airport AND the restaurant serves great food! I was too tired to go out and opted to eat in the hotel. I bypassed the happy hour snacks and ordered the king salmon dinner. It was perfect!! Kudos to the chef!

The room was nice and comfortable and the staff were friendly. We enjoyed the manager's reception but were disappointed in the limited snacks as years ago I stayed at an Embassy Suites and remember the food options were much better then. The breakfast was delicious as nice to have an omelette made to order and the fountain soft drink machine was much appreciated. The shuttle service to and from the airport was very convenient with friendly drivers.

The room was clean and large, has a wet bar with large mirror which comes in handy for 2 people trying to get ready in the morning. The restaurant was good, they have a free happy hour in a special section (2 free drinks and snacks ) 4:30-6:30 ?
