1880 Victorian In Heart of Downtown

Older house in great condition. We stayed in the 3rd floor apt...lots of stairs. Hosts were very cooperative and helpful. Parking was a problem. If you stayed close, you had to pay extra for parking or free parking was 5 blocks away. House was clean, comfortable and convenient to evetything. Walking is a must in this area. Lots of restaurants and stores in walking distance. One block from Flagler college.

Imagine living in a second-story one bedroom Victorian apartment a few minutes’ walk from any venue in historic St. Augustine, with two balconies and a designated parking spot (!!), a fully equipped kitchen, and a washer and dryer on the premises. Easy to settle in, hard to leave.

The apartment was perfect for our stay. We enjoyed the balcony and back patio. Having a designated parking spot was really convenient. Walking to St George street in a minute was so nice.

This place was amazing. Absolutely wonderful location for enjoying the downtown historic district. The layout was great and the two decks were perfect for people watching and just hanging out relaxing. The dedicated parking spot and complimentary bottle of wine were definitely appreciated as well. The bed was very comfortable. Great communication from the hosts too! Would absolutely recommend this property and would love to stay here again!

The owners were welcoming (we happened to run into them upon our arrival), the property was very clean, and the location was excellent. It was fabulous being in the historic district, so close to St. George St. & Hypolita, since the relentless heat necessitated occasional breaks from sightseeing, and it only took a couple of minutes to get to our place (and sit indoors in the a/c). The great location has a shadow side - there's the occasional loud group walking by late at night; plus the beeping of the trash trucks woke us up at 6:30 am (but we fell back asleep afterwards). Note that the owners don't keep vinegar, oil, or spices in the kitchen (or sharp knives, I believe?), so you'd have to bring all ingredient you want to use if you're planning on making anything. Plus, there's no water dispenser in the fridge, just FYI. Also, the listing states that there's a DVD player, but there was none, in case you're old school like us and still bring DVDs with you on trips. Still, we enjoyed the balcony, the generous amount of coffee (keurig) and half and half the owners provide, the laundry facilities, and the accommodations generally. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again. The wine the owners left was a great touch.

Was able to walk to everything we needed. Loved the location, the spacious apartment layout and the 2 outdoor balconies!!!

This property was amazing. The location was the best. You were in the middle of everything. Outdoor space was beautiful. The parking space was a great added bonus. I will absolutely stay here again.

The location is perfect. You are close to everything in the historic district of St. Augustine but in a location that is not loud in the evening. Place is very clean and stocked. If you like a medium to soft bed than it is perfect.

This property was wonderful! Right in the heart of St. Augustine, everything was walkable. The entire stay was wonderful from booking to finish - communication with Greg was excellent, everything was very clean, there were quite a few little extras...just fantastic! Definitely recommend and look forward to staying again!

Overall this is a great property except for a couple of things. The plumbing fixtures could be addressed in the bathroom. No drain plugs and the main water outlet in the tub needs some type of repair. The other is the water pressure. Admittedly this is a St Augustine area issue but not everywhere. Otherwise great experience, clean, easy walking to everything. Nice balconies. We are always moving around this area for years. This one is high on the return list.

Parked our car and never moved it. Walk to everything. Literally in the middle of the historic areas. Bathroom needs an update.

I booked this for a surprise birthday gift for my wife. Even though we've lived in Florida for 6 years and visited many times before that. The first impression wasn't good -- the house could really use an exterior paint job. But inside it's immaculate. You could not ask for a better location to visit the old city. Plenty of room for two people and the small balcony was a nice extra.

We loved St Augustine and this location was absolutely perfect. In the heart of the historic district, we had easy access to everything we wanted or needed. The third floor walk up would have been easier if I hadn’t rolled my ankle the week before we started our travels - be aware that this unit is at the top of an old fashioned stair case. We originally thought we’d use the rollaway (and it was made available) but wound up making the couch up for my son to sleep on (he’s in college and easy going about these things). Gregory was easy to work with and responsive and I appreciated that the checkout requests were limited and easy. Absolutely would stay again.

Sometimes a little loud at night, but hey it’s in the downtown area and was expected, the bed was fantastic and so comfortable we wanted to take it home! Nice decor.

Very clean, adequately supplied with coffee/creamer and kitchen supplies. Linens were nice. The bed was extremely soft (in the middle mostly) so we didn’t sleep much but we were only there for one overnight/quick dinner. Next time we’ll book a lower floor (hopefully different bed) as we don’t remember reading we would need to carry luggage up 3 flights. We probably missed that and it seemed parking was closer than we discovered. Not a bad walk if the weather is nice but if it’s raining, you’ll want to understand parking is not exactly on the same street; it’s about 5 streets away. The bottle of wine was a nice touch. We came for dinner at Columbia restaurant, about 2 streets away (highly recommend)! Very nice little coffee shop next to location. This is in the historic district. Great location.

This house really has a great location. It's all about location. Within walking distance to most things of interest. The host was easily reached and responded quickly to any inquiries. We would love to stay there again, IF they got a new bed. We found to bed to be quite uncomfortable as it was lumpy. Not a solid supportive bed. Actually was sore from sleeping in the bed.

The property was clean and well appointed. The balcony in front and deck in back were great. The only real issue we had was outside noise at night and extremely loud movement late at night from the 3rd floor. Trying to sleep our last night was very difficult. Otherwise it was great!

Everything is within easy walking distance, which is good because parking in this area of St. Augustine comes at a premium. Fortunately, the host provides a parking pass to the city garage, which might sound like an inconvenience, but it's less than a 10-minute walk, and because the house is in the middle of everything, you really shouldn't need your car. The only negative, and it was minor, is that the wifi connection was spotty during our stay. To be fair, we didn't contact the host to let him know, so he did not have the opportunity to attempt to fix the issue. But we weren't there to stay in our room and scroll on our phones, so it wasn't a huge problem. The modem or router likely just needed a reset.Our room was on the third floor, which had a nice view of the surrounding streets. The balcony was great for people watching when we weren't out and about ourselves.You are in the middle of a very active restaurant/shopping district, so trucks arrive early in the morning to drop off supplies, garbage trucks empty the dumpsters, and things generally get moving around 6:30-7:00 a.m. However, we are typically up by then anyway, and if you're a late sleeper, it's nothing a set of earplugs wouldn't solve.Greg was very responsive and patient with our questions. Fantastic host. Our stay was 10/10, and we'd definitely book at this house again.

I knew the location was great when I booked, but was a little concerned because I thought it might feel cramped. I was wrong! Between the front porch (which we used a lot) and the back porch (which we used a little), this apartment has a ton of useable space. It was well appointed and very clean, and the owners were extremely responsive. Don’t wait - book it!

This was a perfect spot for discovering St Augustine! Local to everything we parked the car and walked everywhere (except the beach). Gregory was so accommodating with checkin, restaurant recommendations- just everything. Highly recommend!!

The location is excellent. There were workmen working on the exterior of the property the entire stay. We weren't notified it was under renovation before the stay which was unfortunate. That being said the location is great and the house is very well stocked with anything you might need

Great property and host. All the highlights of St Augustine are within walking distance. The property was very nice and very comfortable. The host was excellent with communications and provided great information about the location, parking and amenities. I highly recommend this property for anyone staying in St Augustine.

We arrived at checkin time, followed instructions for entering the house and went to our apartment. However, door was locked. Host had said door would be open and keys inside. We phoned and texted. Finally got a call back from host at 4:45. It turned that another couple had been given access to our room when they had shown up. They were directed to our room, left their bags and locked the door. Local resident assistant showed up to untangle the situation. We finally got into our room at 5:45. The rental unit was fine once we got in. Pictures of unit were accurate. Host returned $50 from our original payment for our trouble.

The host and housekeeper were very attentive, friendly, and helpful without being overbearing. The rental was very clean and had everything we needed for the 2 of us except maybe a table. It didn’t affect our stay but would have been nice to have table inside or outside to eat or play a game. The location can’t be beat. We didn’t use our car once during our stay. We walked to everything. As to be expected with the location there was some common “city” noises but nothing that interrupted our stay. There was live music and people watching that we enjoyed from the porch but everything was quieted down by 10:00pm. We truly believe this house made our trip better. We will be renting again and highly recommend it.

We fell in love with St. Augustine a few years ago. The location of this property, just 200 feet from St George Street, was ideal for us. We liked sitting on the front porch and watching the people go by. We'll probably be back.

We had a great time and really loved the fact that the unit was in the heart of St. Augustine. Everything was within walking distance, and the unit could not have been any nicer!

Outstanding location in the heart of old downtown St Augustine with all the historic sites. Free Reserved parking space in front parking lot. Very large 2nd floor space with front and back porches for great views.

The property itself is very nice and clean. It is excellent in terms of the historic shopping district. The 2 big negatives is the noise at night (music from bars) and the garbage trucks every morning at 6AM. The other negative is the 5 block walk to get to your car. It does mention both of these in the listing.

Great access to the historical district!

The property is located in the heart of town. We parked the car and walked everywhere. Three separate couples stayed in the house with a perfectly equipped efficiency on each of the three floors. Separate entrances for each efficiency and very private. Well stocked with coffee pods and creamer!

Fabulous home from the 1880’s right in the heart of the historic district. Our 1 bedroom apartment was well appointed with everything needed for a great stay and the 2 decks off the apartment made for great views of the district. Communication with the owner was outstanding.

Location, Location, Location!!!! This property was in the perfect location, clean, comfortable, and the perfect size for 2 people. Amazingly comfortable bed and super cute little balcony, perfect for morning coffee and people watching. LOL The few block walk to the included parking was totally worth it. We hope to stay here again.

Couldn’t have been a more convenient location to all the shops and restaurants. Live music everywhere. Great place to stay, will definitely be back!
