This hotel had a great location near the Galleria, which was handy for many of our needs. The staff were excellent and very welcoming. The room was great and very clean. Elevators are currently undergoing retro fit which meant that it took ages to catch an elevator at times. Otherwise everything was great.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was amazing - friendly and very helpful. The location was convenient and near lots of shopping. Everything we could want food and shopping-wise was within a 10 minute drive. Our room was clean with a pleasing view of the area. The pool was beautiful and came with cabanas. The one complaint would be the elevators, which were not as fast or reliable as we would have expected given this hotel has 26 floors; and it always seemed at least one was down. Otherwise, we had a great stay and would happily return in the future.

Room wasn’t ready for FIVE hours. They did comp my Parking. I booked a suite so I could cook in it- bought a bunch of food, only to find out they “ran out” Of kitchen supplies. So i wasted money booking a suite and wasted money buying food i couldn’t prepare. The staff was friendly and the beds were comfortable, I will give them that. Oh, and 2 of the 4 elevators didn’t work so you were waiting 10-20 min for an elevator.

The pool was disguisting. So dirty with debris and algae buildup. The hotel room was very dirty and had not been vacummed. There wee smudges all over the tables, counters, and dressers. The bathtub looked like it needed some cleaning for quite a while. The hallways on our floor looked like it had not been vacummed in a few weeks. We waiting more than 10-15 minutes for the elevator multiople times a day the entire time we were there. There were signs that the elevators were being imporoved, but at times it seemed like only 1 of the four elevators was working. Multiple times on the way down, our elevator randomly started stopping at every single floor for more than 20 floors. Would not stay here again.

It’s clean and easily accessible to Downtown and other places I wanted to go. I had an EV CAR and charging was challenging. Parking isn’t free! It’s $47 to valet and $32 self parking! Only one of the 4 elevators were working and I was on floor 21, not so great, it made getting in and out more challenging and took longer! And there was breakfast!

I recently stayed at the DoubleTree Hilton Galleria and, while the staff were genuinely excellent and went out of their way to accommodate me—including upgrading me to a suite and waiving parking—the condition of the rooms was extremely disappointing. I can’t believe the conditions in my room. The smell inside the room was awful. I reported this immediately also the room itself was not the cleanest. But the smell was unreal the hotel was crowded so no other room to swap me to. It was disgusting.

Where to begin? This hotel was disgusting. Getting off the elevator on my floor the smells were overwhelming. Upon entering my room, I could only assume there had been water damage as the matte around the “art” was wavy and rippled. I never even put my bags down-every piece of furniture including the beds had reddish brown stains. There was a Kleenex on the bathroom counter that had just been left I guess from a previous occupant, so gross. I didn’t even bother checking for bed bugs, I immediately went downstairs where I waited over 20 minutes to checkout and another 25 to have my car brought up from valet. I in good conscious would NEVER recommend this place, not even to someone I don’t like, it was that bad.

Check-in desk staff was very friendly. Valet was okay. Their phone wasn’t working so we couldn’t ping them to get our car. The room was clean but very outdated. There were stains all over the carpet and mold (black mold) growing on the ceiling. Bathroom was pretty clean and bed was comfortable. The extra blanket had other people’s hair on it and I felt disgusted. We left after breakfast next day because the mold looked like it got bigger.

When we first walked into the lobby, the hotel gave off a luxury vibe—modern touches, and a welcoming feel. But as soon as we got to the elevator, things shifted. The floor was dirty, and the walls had visible tears and scuffs, which was our first red flag. The hallways and our room were both very dim—like moody lighting but not in a cute way. The check in process was painfully slow even though there was no line. The whole property smelled like marijuana , even infiltrated my room. The room carpets had stains, the furniture had permanent stains and the shower had hair all over the tiles. Was not properly cleaned . The breakfast was almost 30 dollars and blah. The best part of the entire stay was the free cookies. Not a fan of this place, high turnover, more attention to details needed.

The hotel lobby was in great shape but my room not so much. There was huge red stain on the carpet near the door which had me questioning the rest of the room cleanliness. The water pressure was low and the water would not heat up. The bathroom paint was bubbled up and peeling. The swing sofa had stains and the office chair was cracked and peeling. I am not a person to give bad reviews but this hotel stay warranted it one. With the Galleria Mall, Ruth Chris, and The Capital Grill in walking distance you would one would think this hotel would be in better condition

Our stay was quiet and peaceful. The balcony view was nice however, they are extremely small. Originally paid for a suite without the view but I received a free upgrade so that was kind of cool. Staff provided exceptional customer service. Overall it was a pleasant experience and I would definitely come back.

I was very dissatisfied with my stay last night in Room 320. The room was extremely hot, and the temperature would not go down despite adjusting the thermostat. In addition, every few minutes the wall unit made very loud noises, which kept me awake the entire night. It was impossible to get any proper rest. Please look into this issue.

I will not be back -27 stars. Upon arrival at 08/02 at about 3:30pm the older lady who checked us in clearly hates her job. She was very hostile, and put the keys down to the room and gave us her back. She didn’t direct to the elevators, tell us what floor we were on nothing. I was confused if should wait for her, because she just left so abruptly. The hotel pictures don’t match. All the furniture in these rooms need to be thrown out and replaced. I was scared to sit on the couch. It looks like yall just hire anybody the workers look scary and don’t know what professional is. The parking situation also doesn’t make sense. Holes in the wall and pealing wallpaper. This feels like a motel, by far the worst hotel experience ever. It was a line to get in the elevator because only one was working. I could literally complain until next week everything is bad.

There are a quite a few issues with this hotel. The furniture needs to be replaced, the shower was barely hot, the drawers never closed and the lobby furniture was old and shot out. The carpets are old and stained as well. C'mon, this is a Hilton hotel. It should be living up to better standards than this. Renovate the place yall.

Tired property. This is not a luxury hotel. Only thing keeping it from a 1 star is staff tried to solve problems with room (AC blowing super hard regardless of setting, no hot water in shower). Not worth price, not deserving of its star rating.

⭐️ 1 out of 5 stars — Very Disappointing Stay DoubleTree by Hilton – Houston Galleria We just checked in today, and I have to say the experience has been frustrating from the start. I called the hotel two days before our arrival to confirm a few things — that we would need a crib in the room, that we preferred to be near the elevator since we have small children, and that we wanted to check in early. The representative told me they would note the request, assured me that a crib wouldn’t be an issue since I called ahead, and also said they would waive the $50 early check-in fee because I’m a Hilton member. When we arrived around 12:30 p.m. after a 5-hour drive with two infants, my husband went in to check us in. The staff told him we’d have to pay the early check-in fee. When I went in and explained that I had already confirmed the waiver, they finally found the note and apologized — but it was a frustrating start. They placed us on the 24th floor, and there were no luggage carts available. The front desk said they only have three carts for the entire hotel (which has around 26 floors), so we had to carry all our luggage upstairs with two small children. When we got to our room, it had a strong, unpleasant odor — something between mold and old carpet. I called the front desk about the missing crib, since they’d confirmed they would have it ready for us. The front desk said they would “check and call back,” but no one ever did. This location right in the heart of the Galleria area is the perfect hotel for a nice couples retreat. The staff was exceptional and went out of their way to make sure that our stay was as great as possible. They're always available with just a short phone call away from the in-room phone. I needed a wine chiller bucket full of ice on the night that we arrived. I called down to get one and the manager had one sent right up. The breakfast buffet is phenomenal! I highly recommend it to all. We will definitely be staying here again.

I would have more stars but the front desk was rude after checkout when I called to see why I had a $40 charge. She told me it was for overnight parking but I didn’t park overnight. I borrowed my cousins car then parked long enough to pick up my friend waiting in the room. We went shopping and out to eat then came back, unloaded the car, and took it back. I was charged over night for that. The woman who answered the phone was rude and would not correct the mistake. When I told her I was never explained an over night parking fee for parking a couple hours she replied “there are signs.” I was left with a bitter taste in my mouth from what I would have otherwise said was an extremely pleasant stay.

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had a Hilton hotel and I’ll go as far as to say it was my worst hotel experience I’ve ever had to deal with. From start to finish this was an overall bad experience. The only thing that’s was good about the place was leaving it. When we first arrived which was around 4:00, 4:05 the latest. Stood in line for over 15 minutes because one for the receptionist decided to walk away(who I later find out is the manager). Upon Check it I was told “sorry for the delay room service is running behind schedule. The fact that the check out is 12pm and they couldn’t clean it before 4pm is unacceptable my family had travels 4 hours on road to get there and to find out we had to wait another hour to get a room is sad. We got our room at 5:20. The only reason was because I went up asking for a manager to ask about our room. We where offered free parking for our stay which at checkout they still charged me and laughed at me for explaining to them why they weren’t supposed to charge me I told them it was because of my situation at check in and who I spoke to and they still laughed at me and gave me false information about the manager on duty. The room were dirty. Parts of the rug looked like they had mold, shower tub was dirty, a lot of stains on the carpet and walls.

Having only one elevator working for such a huge building is unacceptable I was there for the whole weekend and there were no signs of it trying to be fixed. Customer service could improve some front desk agents were super friendly while others were very rude. Our check in agent was very nice !

I loved the location of the hotel which was within walking distance to the mall and various restaurants in the area. The only thing that was slightly troubling is the elevators.. there are 4 of them and every day there was a problem of some sort which caused long wait times...however I Would still stay here again and recommend to others to do so as well!! 😁

This Doubletree property was right in the heart of the Galleria area in Houston with plenty of walkable shops & restaurants. It smelled amazing as soon as you walk in! The agent at the desk checked us in early, gave us cookies/ water & was very personable. Our King Suite had a full kitchen, livingroom, separate bedroom & the best part was the spacious balcony with nice city views. Bed was comfy, but it took a little bit for the hot water to come on in the bathroom. Also, a housekeeper didnt know we were in the room & came to ask us when we were checking out. That was a bit weird, but overall great stay!

Really like the location of the hotel it was central to everything great shopping all around. What I didn’t like was I felt that it was a little dated. at least my room needed to be updated. also would’ve been nice to have a complementary coffee down at the desk in the morning before I checked out..

View of the city was amazing. Room was big and spacious. Area was walking distance from galleria and close to lots of places to eat around Houston. Great variety around there. Nice atmosphere. Staff was nice and friendly. No free parking, must park in parking tower for nightly fee.

The ladies at the breakfast very rude food too almost an hour to refill and breakfast was $29 per person with nothing to show for it. I couldn’t order for my own eggs. Food options were good, I didn’t eat from the hotel but Houston have some amazing restaurants: the bed comfort and hotel itself was amazing everyone was super friendly. The internet was on and off from my phone but you do have internet access options that would work best for you.
