Holiday Inn Alexandria at Carlyle by IHG

Dated Hotel in need of renovation. Elevators are very old and one out of service. Room is spacious but not welcoming. Bathroom is small with old fixtures. Property is surrounded by highways and windows are not sound proof. Very expensive for what is offered to guests; not worth it.

Continental Breakfast cost too much money and it wasn’t very good.

I was assigned the wrong room (preoccupied) and they charged me for both the rooms. It’s been a week and I still haven’t received I was also denied the breakfast coupons initially when I had already paid for it.

Location was the main reason we chose this hotel. We were spending our days in DC. The hotel is a really short walk to the Metro train station. There is also a Starbucks, CVS, WEGMANS an easy walk to the hotel. The room was good. Comfortable beds, clean, good water pressure. WiFi was slow but functional

Very clean rooms. Polite helpful staff. Enjoyed my breakfast in the restaurant.
