What is unique about the property is that there is not cleaning service, or considerate. We stayed 3 nights, and there was not an option for changing sheets or cleaning bathroom etc.. It’s more of a time share hotel. I wasn’t prepared for that, but as long as you are, I guess it could work. We had door dash for coffee in the morning, and was never offered the service of getting it delivered to our room, but they wouldn’t allow door dash to bring it up either! The pool and workout area however were beautiful and well maintained and clean. The view from the pool is gorgeous!

I loved the view from the pool/hot tub, the sauna and the gym. The staff was super helpful about anything we needed. It is a timeshare, and I heard that the sales people were very pushy from other guests, but we didn’t have that experience with ours, Ray. They all definitely reallllly want you to buy a timeshare. Other than that and the $40 for parking (just go across the street for $5 parking), I really enjoyed our stay. And Grant and Eli were very nice and helpful as well.

Everything about the property was great. The rooms were a good size. Location was perfect for walking or driving. The Amtrak train was one block away, but it was quiet. We walked to the Amtrak train and went to San Diego for the day. The Steakhouse 333 was delicious. There is no free parking. Street parking is metered parking. Even handicapped ♿️ has to pay at the meters.We drove from L.A. on a Thursday morning EARLY to avoid traffic so we could catch the Amtrak. We arrived at the hotel about 7:30 a.m. The hotel had a room available and let us check in without an additional charge. That was awesome. There were other family members that stayed at the hotel. We reserved a banquet room and had food and drinks. The room was reserved for 5 hours and we truly enjoyed it. I would definitely stay at the hotel again.

Very clean, quiet, and comfortable even during construction/renovation. Heard no noise and was able to still enjoy pool/hot tub/sauna. Liked the special events going on throughout the week also. Enjoyed the sky lounge for sunsets every night of our stay

We checked in really late and that was made to be super easy. We did not enjoy that in 5 days we were not given even a light house cleaning to include we were responsible for even taking out all of the trash and had to ask for trash bags as they are not provided to replace. The shampoo/ body wash bottles were empty. The hotel had a funny smell through the upper hallways the entire 5 days. My biggest complaint was the timeshare gurus literally chasing people out to their cars and wouldn't even let anyone breath. Their flyer states no harsh sells people... YIKES!! They are out for blood. They DO NOT take no for an answer. If these presentations were offered way earlier than 9 am, maybe it would have been easier to get to. At 2pm, I just had things to do and family to see. We as a family found ourselves purposely taking the elevator down into the parking garage and walking back out just to avoid these pushy sales people.

Hotel is average. Location is great. Property is right across from the pier and beach surrounded by all the dining and shopping. Excellent location. The hotel itself is definitely older. It has a fairly nice pool and jacuzzi area. It can get crowded quickly, but we were able to utilize it. The room we were given was just an average one queen bed with one pull out sofa for three of us. It was pretty tight. I asked for a two-queen-beds room, but was told they don’t have standard rooms with two beds. They only have suites, which are part of the timeshare rooms or the one-bed rooms. I thought that was strange. We also had a 5-night reservation and did not have hotel cleaning one time. They never replenished shower towels, pool/beach towels, coffee, or shower amenities. When I asked about this, they said they only have staff to clean the timeshare rooms. It’s definitely cheaper than the newer hotels that offer more amenities, but it shows.

Staff was nice and friendly. The sink water smelled like sewer. I told staff twice and in different dates and the issue was not resolved. There is also no housekeeping during your stay and we stayed 4 nights. Parking is $40 per night if you park at the hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at the Wyndham Pier Oceanside. The king bed room was huge, practical, and well furnished. We loved the kitchen, dishwasher, washer and dryer in the unit, the balcony with chairs, table, and a view in the ocean and sunset. The access to the pool, sauna, and spa is very nice as well. We hoped that kids under 14 were not allowed in the spa as it makes it difficult to access for adults. The staff was wonderful, fun, smiling, and generous every day. The rooms are super quiet, and the spa in the room was a MAJOR plus. Bed extremely comfortable, and everything is clean at all times Pleased: the 333 Pacific restaurant is pricey but amazing and in the hotel. The access to the beach cannot be beaten. We surfed everyday and had a blast. We will definitely be back!

Lots of little things they could have thought about with the rooms. My room was " city facing" . parking lot and the train tracks. the Tv was inconveniently placed behind a pilar in the room. There was only one night stand on around the bed. The fan in the bathroom didn't work and looked rusted. Nothing smelled fresh or really clean in the room. Standard room shouldn't've meant " we kinda cleaned your room" . Lots of the pictures included a small balcony. I was disappointed.

The hotel wasn’t full but they wouldn’t give us an ocean view room. Be ready to get hit with sale pitches. No restaurants but plenty nearby. Room needed some repair, but good overall. Bed was very comfortable. 7th floor sunset viewing room was amazing. A great deal for being right on the beach. Would stay again

Room was beautiful and clean. Very large 2 bedroom unit and it even had an ocean view and the category booked was a city view room so that was a nice surprise. A ton of great restaurants and shops all within walking distance.

Fantastic location right across from the Pier and right downtown. Hotel was very good, pool was very shallow but great views of the beachfront, ocean & Pier. Rooms were large and comfortable but the bathroom was dated and the caulking and paint around the tub and baseboards needs repair and refresh. Overall a great place to stay and visit, just ignore the timeshare pitch 😉

We've been coming here for years and every year, check-in is painful. The front desk is great, then they send you to another desk for room key wristbands where they pitch you their timeshare spiel. Every year, we turn it down, but it feels like they are more persistent as time goes on. Then they send you to the valet to get your parking pass. This used to be at the 2nd desk, but changed this year, which no one told us, so we had to ask where to get the parking pass. Other than that process, this place is great...getting a little dated compared to other hotels nearby, but we still love it.

The check in REQUIRED me to go to a sales person to get my key. There is a ridiculous amount of pressure to attend timeshare meeting and this was not disclosed in the purchase of the room. I was so disgusted by the people asking personal questions about my life I ended up not even staying at the hotel. It is unprofessional and misleading in the sales of the hotel room. I would like a refund

Upon arrival at the hotel — after a long journey and with a confirmed reservation in hand — I was informed that the property was overbooked and could not honor my booking. Shockingly, neither the hotel nor Expedia made any attempt to contact me in advance to notify me of this situation. There was no email, no phone call, no alternative arrangements proactively offered. This is not just an oversight — it is a clear breach of contract and a total collapse in operational competence. Worse still, I was forced to accept a last-minute relocation to a different hotel, which was of demonstrably lower quality and in a less desirable location. This disrupted my itinerary, wasted my time, and significantly impacted the quality of my trip — both personally and professionally.

This is a timeshare trap they make you go to the sales agents to get your room, keys and inexplicably. They turned our keys off four times so we had to go back and get their sales pitch each time in addition they find it necessary to call you and take you away from your family while you’re trying to have a nice vacation and give you another sales pitch. Avoid this place all they wanna do is sell you a timeshare and if you say no, they hold your keys hostage. In addition my room smelled like sewage on the seventh floor I spoke to two individuals about it. They assured me they would have engineering come up, but nobody did so we just slept with the window open, can you imagine when I brought it to their attention at my exit they said, oh we’re sorry we will share this information with our management. Other words tough luck, Lady.

Our room was very nice. It was spacious and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The property is located across the street from the beach/pier and walking distance to many really good restaurants, bakeries, a movie theatre, and an ice cream parlor. It really is a very nice property and the rates were reasonable considering what you’re getting. We definitely plan on staying here again!

It was horrible. According to your website this hotel had a restaurant, cocktail lounge and other amenities I liked. When I got there it had NONE of these. When I inquired at the front desk, I was told, they are not responsible for what Hotels.com or Rxpefia put on their website. This was definitely FAlSE ADVERTISING.

Arrived very early and was hoping to get an early checkin (celebrating my husband’s 70th birthday) but room wasn’t ready until 3pm. Worth the wait!! Beautiful ocean view 1 bedroom. Valet staff were wonderful! Quick and efficient. Front desk friendly. They give you wristbands and have you meet with the timeshare staff before you go to your room. Timeshare staff try to get you to sign up for a presentation. We opted out. No pressure once we said no. They were very nice as well. Beautiful pool. Resort across from the ocean. No restaurant at the resort but there are lots of options to eat close by. One morning I ordered Starbucks through Uber Eats. Met driver in the lobby. Arrived in 15 min. Highly recommend Wyndham Oceanside Pier!!
