Good location, friendly staff, clean and comfortable. Parking is difficult anywhere in Positano, but there was a very close lot and the lot staff picked up and dropped off the car for us. Would recommend this hotel to others.

This hotel was excellent. The rooms were much larger than we expected. The whole facility was immaculate. We had a very nice breakfast. The staff was amazing and parking was very convenient. What this town needs, however is a few more stairs.

The front desk staff was rude on multiple occasions. First off they told us they needed to hang onto our passports and to go up to our rooms and come back down to get them later.. there is no reason for that. It should take two seconds to make a copy of passports. We needed taxis arranged on two occasions, on both occasions the front desk man was irritated that we asked and seemed bothered. He was also rude when he asked where we were going for dinner and it wasn’t one of the 3 restaurants he recommended. The bar was just as rude when we were needing cups to take back to the room because we had our own wine vs buying drinks from them. In fact so rude that they even mentioned us not buying drinks from them. The property was average and did not look like the pictures online and definitely overpriced.

Very nice hotel. It is far up on the hillside with a view overlooking the harbor. This can make it a challenge if you are arriving in the ferry, since the walk up to the hotel from the ferry terminal can be long and arduous, with many flights of stairs. We arrived fro Naples airport via a transfer service and thus were spared this issue. When we left for Capri on the ferry, the hotel arranged a porter service to deliver our luggage to the ferry terminal, while we took the bus. One of the advantages of this hotel is that there is a bus stop steps from the front door. Busses are the best way to navigate Positano unless you’re prepared to climb hundreds of steps between the hotel and the sea. The busses depart the hotel at quarter past and quarter till the hour, and circulate in a large loop through the town’s only one way street go vehicular traffic. They are clean and easy to navigate. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful, the decor is interesting. The owner’s wife is an artist, and it shows both in the decor of the hotel itself and in the artworks gracing its walls. A wonderful place to stay!

The location is a fair way up the hill but the interno bus stop is outside so quite convenient. The room was good with internet tv that had Amazon, YouTube and Netflix access. Very comfortable bed. The room was a little musty smelling however but cleared up a bit when we kept the doors open when we were in. No working fridge unfortunately (just a bar fridge that didn’t seem to work). There was large balcony with great views. There are also a couple of private parking garages not far from the hotel. The real downside for us however was the poor noise insulation between adjacent rooms which kept us awake longer than we would have liked due to neighbours talking and TVs.

Very charming place with a very friendly and helpful staff. We were lucky enough to have a large patio overlooking the water and town below which we really enjoyed. The rooms are a bit dated, but seemed well taken care of. There is a modest complimentary breakfast in the lobby which is a nice touch given how busy the streets of Positano can get. The gentlemen at the front desk offer fantastic local restaurant suggestions just minutes away from the hotel. The walk into downtown Positano is about 25 minutes uphill and downhill and on narrow streets. We really enjoyed the walk, but if you are physically challenged it would be very difficult if not impossible to make the walk. There is a bus system in town that can get pretty crowded. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay here and hated to leave.

O hotel é relativamente próximo ao centrinho de Positano (uma caminhada de uns 15, 20 minutos) e por este motivo optei em me hospedar aqui. Péssima escolha. Foi o pior hotel na relação custo benefício que já estive na vida: uma diária de 1.200 dólares (!!!) por um hotel que não vale nem 250. Mal cuidado. Quarto velho, banheiro caindo aos pedaços e com pedaços de concreto aparente de obra e todo mal acabado, rejunte nojento, banheiro extremamente pequeno (a área do chuveiro/box mal cabe uma pessoa) e serviço questionável. Cheguei para fazer o checkin e nem bom dia recebi, só um aviso de que "o checkin só abre às 15h00". Isso é um serviço de um hotel que cobra isso em uma diária? Eu contei as horas para ir embora desse hotel. Péssimo e não recomendo para absolutamente ninguém. Fujam.

One of the most beautiful views ever . Room overlooked the ocean, large balcony . Room was full upgraded with the latest and uptodate gadgets / amenities . Walking down to the beach is one of the most scenic walks and took about 20-25 minutes eating gelato etc . Reception was very helpful and curtious

We loved this hotel. We got a free upgrade and our room was huge and beautiful!!! We had two sitting areas, a jacuzzi, wonderful bed, walk in closet and beautiful patio with unforgettable views. Staff was wonderful as well!!!

The staff were phenomenal. Extremely welcoming and helpful from the second we got there. They provided recommendations for food, maps to help navigate the city. They really went above and beyond to even decorate our room as we were there staying for our honeymoon. We could not recommend this hotel more and we will be back.
The staff were phenomenal. Extremely welcoming and helpful from the second we got there. They provided recommendations for food, maps to help navigate the city. They really went above and beyond to even decorate our room as we were there staying for our honeymoon. We could not recommend this hotel more and we will be back.

The staff here is absolutely incredible. I was waiting for a package containing a piece of my wedding dress that ended up getting stuck at customs. By the time it reached Positano I was already back in the states. The hotel staff went above and beyond to help it get back to me which I received today. Anything we needed or requested they made sure it was done right away. Their recommendations for restaurants did not disappoint. Antonio was extremely kind and beyond accommodating. The hotel is just a few flight of stairs from the beach and main area . The hotel also has some of the best restaurants walking distance if you don’t want to travel to far. The balcony has fresh lemons and a hot tube with an amazing view. I’ve traveled all around the world and the staff at this hotel and the location made it one of my favorite’s.

The front desk staff was rude on multiple occasions. First off they told us they needed to hang onto our passports and to go up to our rooms and come back down to get them later.. there is no reason for that. It should take two seconds to make a copy of passports. We needed taxis arranged on two occasions, on both occasions the front desk man was irritated that we asked and seemed bothered. He was also rude when he asked where we were going for dinner and it wasn’t one of the 3 restaurants he recommended. The bar was just as rude when we were needing cups to take back to the room because we had our own wine vs buying drinks from them. In fact so rude that they even mentioned us not buying drinks from them. The property was average and did not look like the pictures online and definitely overpriced.

This hotel was amazing on every level. They rescued my daughter and i from other accomodation that was a travellers nightmare and could not do enough to help us. The staff had a mercedes pick us up and take us to this beautiful hotel. On entry we were greeted like family and only wish we could stay longer. Location was aweome not too many stairs to town. I would eccomend this to any traveller.

We would highly reccomend staying at the Art Hotel. It is a super convenient location with lots of great dining options, it’s walkable to all important destinations. The bus also stops right outside the hotel as well! Most importantly, the staff was incredible helpful, kind and informative!

One of the most beautiful views ever . Room overlooked the ocean, large balcony . Room was full upgraded with the latest and uptodate gadgets / amenities . Walking down to the beach is one of the most scenic walks and took about 20-25 minutes eating gelato etc . Reception was very helpful and curtious

Very nice hotel. It is far up on the hillside with a view overlooking the harbor. This can make it a challenge if you are arriving in the ferry, since the walk up to the hotel from the ferry terminal can be long and arduous, with many flights of stairs. We arrived fro Naples airport via a transfer service and thus were spared this issue. When we left for Capri on the ferry, the hotel arranged a porter service to deliver our luggage to the ferry terminal, while we took the bus. One of the advantages of this hotel is that there is a bus stop steps from the front door. Busses are the best way to navigate Positano unless you’re prepared to climb hundreds of steps between the hotel and the sea. The busses depart the hotel at quarter past and quarter till the hour, and circulate in a large loop through the town’s only one way street go vehicular traffic. They are clean and easy to navigate. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful, the decor is interesting. The owner’s wife is an artist, and it shows both in the decor of the hotel itself and in the artworks gracing its walls. The location is a fair way up the hill but the interno bus stop is outside so quite convenient. The room was good with internet tv that had Amazon, YouTube and Netflix access. Very comfortable bed. The room was a little musty smelling however but cleared up a bit when we kept the doors open when we were in. No working fridge unfortunately (just a bar fridge that didn’t seem to work). There was large balcony with great views. There are also a couple of private parking garages not far from the hotel. The real downside for us however was the poor noise insulation between adjacent rooms which kept us awake longer than we would have liked due to neighbours talking and TVs.

The hotel’s location was fabulous. The view of the sea from our room was fabulous. The hotel is close to the Fornilla Beach. The staff members were so helpful and friendly. All members of the staff took their jobs very seriously to offer an excellent, comfortable stay to the hotel guests. Breakfast buffet was delicious and with gluten free options.

It’s worth saying first and foremost, every hotel in Positano is expensive so we kind of just accepted that before we arrived. However, I just couldn’t make the cost per night match the condition of the hotel - reception area was nice but the room was just ‘ok’ considering the per night price tag - we stayed at much nicer hotels along the Amalfi coast for a 1/5 of the price. But as I say - this is the case in all of Positano. I can’t comment on breakfast as it wasn’t included in the room cost (madness!) but what I will say is that the staff were fantastic, and couldn’t have been more helpful.

Could not fault anything at this hotel - it may not be 4 or 5 stars, but definitely one of the overall best hotels we have stayed in. We stayed for 3 nights and not once had to call reception for anything - everything was perfect and as needed. Beds and pillows were super comfortable. Huge TV with Netflix/Amazon Prime, clean toilets with shower cubicle and toiletries; all standard amenities in room. Generous balcony overlooking the sea. Good air-conditioning. Breakfast was standard but excellent - fresh fruits, smoothie maker, eggs made to order. Only suggestion would be to bring forward the breakfast time from 8 a.m to 7 a.m, so that guests leaving early can still avail the breakfast. The location is also very good with affordable restaurants nearby - just avoid the one next door, and go to those suggested by reception. The staff at reception are incredibly helpful. Housekeeping is excellent. The entire hotel is aesthetically very well-decorated and highly recommended for staying on the Amalfi Coast. There is a bus stop just near the hotel and steps leading to the town centre are opposite the hotel.
