Hotel is beautiful. Staff are polite. Room was swelteringly hot, windows rattled so could not stay open during the night. No car charging points. No gym. Evening meal was good but could have been hotter, muscles were warm not piping hot. Staff took a while to get from kitchen to your table if you asked for sauce (for example) Overall a nice hotel but is not as good as it professes to be.

We had a truly relaxing stay at Murrayshall for a special birthday. It’s in such a beautiful setting and the house has tasteful decor in keeping with its Scottish surroundings. We stayed in one of suites a very short walk from the main house, they are very spacious. The staff are really friendly and always wanting to help, plenty of variety at breakfast which can also be made to order. Special shout out to the breakfast team - Dianne in particular, so attentive friendly and welcoming as well as hard working. Lots of activities on site including golf and outdoor pursuits. Would highly recommend for a mini break to recharge.

Murrayshall exceeded all of our expectations. Every member of the staff was kind, attentive, and conducted themselves in a friendly and professional manner. The service and food in both dining halls was excellent. The golf course was very challenging and yet playable. The golf pro was very gracious and extended himself to us. if I am ever in Scotland again, I will make a point to visit Murrayshall!

This property is truly a special place if you seek luxurious accommodation in a secluded, beautiful country estate with breathtaking views, yet minutes from central Perth, near Scone Palace and convenient to points North. This beautiful, inviting house is exceptionally maintained and offers a complete range of amenities, a spa, golf course and driving range. The bed and bedding are among the finest I've experienced. The staff are first class and make one feel at home. There are two restaurants, one international class gourmet cuisine and the other a casual setting offering steaks, burgers, and lighter fare. I was only able to stay one night and enjoyed a delicious dinner of grilled hake, potatoes, a portobello mushroom and grilled tomato, accompanied by a nice glass of Italian Rose. There's a wonderfully comfortable lounge/bar and quiet library for reading and relaxing. My only regret is that I wasn't able to enjoy the experience longer!

Outstanding hotel with great service. We booked last minute as our other accommodation wasn't suitable. The hotel is very dog friendly allowing dogs in the cairns restaurant and gave us a little doggie bag on arrival. We had one of the lodges outside the hotel (as we had a dog) which was lovely. Large superking bed that was very comfortable, big bathroom with bath and shower and seating area with a sofabed (that was used for our daughter). The room was clean and very comfortable, just lacking a fridge. The staff were amazing and very accommodating, from getting us milk late at night to giving the dog treats they were very attentive. Special thanks to Isabel, Danny, Jason and Elodi who looked after us so well. The hotel is situated on a golf course where you are able to walk your dog, wildlife is everywhere and we saw deer and rabbits every time we were out. Highly recommended and would definitely book again.

What a quiet place in the country side. Convenient bar and restaurant on location. Surrounded by a beautiful golf course. Definitely a classy way to chill at night! The one issue we had was the size of the bed. We booked a standard room with a king size bed. We were told even after we were upgraded from a smaller room and bed, we were apparently given a queen instead of a double. Not sure where the problem is, maybe the expedia listing is incorrect. But hopefully expedia sorts this inaccuracy, because not getting a king bed which you were expecting, is kinda a big deal. :o(

Beautiful hotel, great service. Food was good, particularly the excellent breakfast. We enjoyed the lovely view from the dining room window. Our bedroom was very clean and comfortable. Would recommend this hotel highly.

Lets start with the positive, the restaurant is the best part of this hotel and the views assuming you get the golf course facing room. As for the negatives, the first impression was really poor. When we arrived and was shown our room, the room was filled with flies, we counted at least five flies. When we complained, we were told its because the windows were open which wasn't the case when we got in. We were advised they will sort the flies or upgrade us at an extra cost which we found ridiculous. We eventually had to go wait at the lounge for an hour before they managed to sort the flies. No apologies offered. The hotel is also needing maintenance. Walls mocked up with marks and looking a bit dated.

Very nice Junior Fairway Suite, spacious and clean & comfortable. Only issues, we had no WiFi in this separate bilding due to an issue they could not resolve on a Sunday, the room telephone was broken so you could not call reception and the second TV in the bedroom did not work (think it may have been due to no WiFi). Food in Eolas was excellent.

Old outdated and dirty bathroom. Some rooms seems to have renovated bathrooms though. Very slow and incompetent staff. Checking took 25 minutes. Getting a coffee for breakfast took 20 minutes. OMG.

This place is incredible! I’m already planning our next visit back. We were so well taken care of by staff, the property is STUNNING, there’s no shortage of things to do and the hotel is so clean and beautiful.

Beautiful property with luxurious bedroom. We loved the curtains, thick soft carpets and high quality bedding. The view from our room was fabulous too. The staff in the hotel are excellent. We received a warm welcome, and found all employees to be very professional, and friendly. The one downside was the lukewarm temperature of some of the food served in the evening meal and 'hot' breakfast. The plates were not warmed well, so the food chilled quickly before it arrived or after we began eating. We would definitely stay at Murrayshall again.

We loved the Murrayshall Estate Hotel. The hotel is very nice and the grounds around the hotel were very pretty. The restaurant was good and most of the staff were friendly and helpful. No air conditioning but a wonderful breeze with the windows open. I would recommend this hotel.

The setting and common areas of this hotel is beautiful. If you are a golfer it appears to be ideal. Our issue was with the hotel room. It was unusually warm and our room had not ventilation and no fans were available. Having a medical condition, this quickly became a problem. We were offered another room on the first floor... great. We were then told we needed to pay for it because it was an upgrade. Because the room was unbearable, we protested, but agreed. We get settled into the room, turn on the TV to relax... it didn't work. The receptionist made 2 attempts to fix it and it finally worked. Then, there were issues with the toilet not flushing. We were so exhausted by this time, that we dealt with it flushing only sometimes. Upon checkout, we commented again on the extra charge for changing rooms and the extra charge was refunded. I was so looking forward to my stay at the hotel and was so disappointed.

This was a beautiful estate in the Highlands. The property is gorgeous. We had a deluxe suite with our two kids and we had a ton of room. We ate at the restaurant which was delicious and had drinks in the bar. The breakfast was included and also very nice. We wish we had stayed more than 1 night! We would highly recommend to other travelers to Scotland.

We were in one of the Fairway suites away from the main hotel building, it was extremely comfortable with a separate seating area it was nice having our own little "house" to come back to. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the staff very pleasant and attentive. Great place to stay even if you aren't a golfer!

This is one of favourite hotels to stay - and why we chose for my 60th birthday celebration - drinks, dinner and overnight . But very let down on this occasion. The staff forgot to put the prepaid chocs and chilled Prosecco into the room ready for my arrival bud said they couldn’t refund - they’d get them ready. But the surprise was lost. Then the fire alarm went off at 6am due to a failed boiler - resulting in no hot water for showers or washing. What a dreadful night and morning . But the worst part was no recompense or attempt to make it up to us from reception or management over all these issues which spoiled my birthday stay. Only a lukewarm apology and how it wasn’t really their fault. Reception blamed housekeeping for lack of Prosecco etc. hotel management need to do better here. Will not be rushing back for a special occasion . So disappointed.

The setting and common areas of this hotel is beautiful. If you are a golfer it appears to be ideal. Our issue was with the hotel room. It was unusually warm and our room had not ventilation and no fans were available. Having a medical condition, this quickly became a problem. We were offered another room on the first floor... great. We were then told we needed to pay for it because it was an upgrade. Because the room was unbearable, we protested, but agreed. We get settled into the room, turn on the TV to relax... it didn't work. The receptionist made 2 attempts to fix it and it finally worked. Then, there were issues with the toilet not flushing. We were so exhausted by this time, that we dealt with it flushing only sometimes. Upon checkout, we commented again on the extra charge for changing rooms and the extra charge was refunded. I was so looking forward to my stay at the hotel and was so disappointed.

Murrayshall exceeded all of our expectations. Every member of the staff was kind, attentive, and conducted themselves in a friendly and professional manner. The service and food in both dining halls was excellent. The golf course was very challenging and yet playable. The golf pro was very gracious and extended himself to us. if I am ever in Scotland again, I will make a point to visit Murrayshall!

We had a wonderful stay at Murrayshall. This was our second visit, having stayed around 18 months ago in the wintertime. It was nice to see the hotel at a different time of year, but the rooms, staff and excellent dinner in Eilos remained the same. A very good stay. The only thing that could have been better was breakfast - it seemed a little disorganised.

Outstanding hotel with great service. We booked last minute as our other accommodation wasn't suitable. The hotel is very dog friendly allowing dogs in the cairns restaurant and gave us a little doggie bag on arrival. We had one of the lodges outside the hotel (as we had a dog) which was lovely. Large superking bed that was very comfortable, big bathroom with bath and shower and seating area with a sofabed (that was used for our daughter). The room was clean and very comfortable, just lacking a fridge. The staff were amazing and very accommodating, from getting us milk late at night to giving the dog treats they were very attentive. Special thanks to Isabel, Danny, Jason and Elodi who looked after us so well. The hotel is situated on a golf course where you are able to walk your dog, wildlife is everywhere and we saw deer and rabbits every time we were out. Highly recommended and would definitely book again.

Great place to stay. Unfortunate power cut overnight no fault of the hotel however the response to the event was beyond poor no welfare checks met with poor response from staff in the reception at breakfast -!! Email response to our complaint was severely lacking .

Upon arrival this property has a serene feel with a stately house and pastoral view. We stayed in a suite that had a feel of your very own private cottage. Breakfast was so pleasant because of the wonderful service of Diana. Very relaxing stay with excellent access to nearby castles. Very pleased with this property.

A hotel that sums up all the best for a short stay in Scotland - it has a warm and welcoming ambience that is further enhanced by friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful property with luxurious bedroom. We loved the curtains, thick soft carpets and high quality bedding. The view from our room was fabulous too. The staff in the hotel are excellent. We received a warm welcome, and found all employees to be very professional, and friendly. The one downside was the lukewarm temperature of some of the food served in the evening meal and 'hot' breakfast. The plates were not warmed well, so the food chilled quickly before it arrived or after we began eating. We would definitely stay at Murrayshall again.

The ala carte menu advertises fixed prices for 2 or 3 courses but a lot of the choice has a supplement and you pay extra for the sides - so it's not such a good deal when this is taken into account. - however on the plus side, the bar prices are very reasonable for a luxury hotel.

Generally an excellent property and the underlying b&b rate very reasonable for the level of comfort. Food and drinks were also good but generally overpriced and then a compulsory 10% service charge on already inflated prices means eating and drinking at the property will be very expensive. Although booked through hotels.com on a pay at the property the full amount plus a pre booked massage was deducted 2 days before arriving causing me some concern and confusion resulting in a 45 min investigation with help line at hotels.com.

Very nice Junior Fairway Suite, spacious and clean & comfortable. Only issues, we had no WiFi in this separate bilding due to an issue they could not resolve on a Sunday, the room telephone was broken so you could not call reception and the second TV in the bedroom did not work (think it may have been due to no WiFi). Food in Eolas was excellent.

The hotel grounds are amazing. Terrific views from the patio and a lovely walks around the grounds. Overall, the service was good with the exception of dinner in the bar where the wait staff may have been new or inexperienced. Breakfast made up for that and I would return again.

Staff was great. They were rolling out a soft start after a kitchen remodel and handled it well. Setting is beautiful, rooms were clean but views out the window need refresh as we looked into an unmaintained garden area. Doors could be repainted in the public areas esp the bathroom. Drinks on the lawn watching the sunset was fantastic. Would recommend and stay again.
