Fantastic location , close to everything. Hotel is in a historic building but has been renovated. Bathroom was quite moldy/musty due to the fact the shower leaked water everywhere. Rooms are only serviced every other day however during the three nights of my stay the room was never serviced. Staff were helpful and provided amenities when requested.

Columba Hotel is set in a beautiful location along the Ness River and within walking distance to attractions, dining, stores and the train station. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We included breakfast in our hotel package and it was delicious and there was lots of cold and hot food options. Our bed was comfortable, but the hotel is desperately in need of updating. We were glad that we asked and received a fan for our room as the window would only open slightly and it was very stuffy and hot in the room. On the last morning, our bathtub faucet broke and the valve could not be shut off so we had to leave the water running fully while we got ready. It was stressful as we were nervous that the water would back up in the tub. Luckily it didn't! Just a heads up that our city view was the back alley that had daily recycling/garbage trucks doing their jobs starting at 6 am so there was no sleeping through that.

This hotel was not not one that I would go back to visit. The view was nice and I understand it is an old building, but it was the small things, such as the pumps for the soaps and shampoos were all unusable. The closet was so full and looked as though someone had just shoved extra blankets etc into it. Just overall felt very un-cared for all around.
