Room was comfortable and ensuite shower was great. Spa area was a little disappointing as it was only a pool and very small sauna (seating 3 and cosy at that). The pool changing room area was a bit dirty and very awkward changing around kids swimming lessons and parents in the changing rooms but for the price we paid it was ok.

the staff are excellent , always cheerful and helpful. sauna was not working which was a disappointment. One note to the hotel . we did not go swimming in the very inviting pool as the screen in the reception showed EVERYONE who was in the pool. Reposition the screen so only reception can view it . I would not re-book if it was still so visible to the public. No one likes to be seen in their swim wear by strangers

The hotel has seen better days. The lift was down. Room was average at best. Bed was uncomfortable with a zipper down the middle. Pillows felt like rocks. Not worth the price.

Unfortunate that at check in we were informed of the leisure facilities being closed which was one of the main reasons for booking. £6 parking fee also levied at check in. Pleasant and helpful staff. Partially renovated but still some areas needing attention. Need queen linen for bed not just stretched king sheets! Room was clean and a great size. Outside needs a tidy up. Good breakfast.

This old hotel still gives a few clues to its former grandeur. It has a cosy lounge/bar area. Ok breakfast room. We had a plumbing problem with the first room we had booked. It was a very tired room with stained bedding and curtains. However the exceptionally helpful member of staff upgraded us to a larger suite room which was in much better decorative order - which we obviously enjoyed. My review would have not been good for the ‘standard’ room at all! Price point is relatively low but the condition of the pool and other facilities is still a bit of a shock!

From check-in to check out everything was great about my stay. I had an issue with my room window which was sorted quickly after i mentioned it to reception. My room was serviced every day which is unusual these days and the staff were all very nice and friendly 😁

Lovely hotel although a little dated . Floors throughout the hotel were very creaky. Our room was clean and well appointed. The staff were all great, breakfast was prepared for us and was adequate.

Rooms are clean. Needs some updating for sure.The staff were so friendly. Claire is so great. She needs a raise !!!!!. We enjoyed out stay very much. Please do some updates!. Good location,great looks from outside. We ate there 2 meals. Food was ok,big portions. Food was average. We will visit again if they do upgrades. If not we will find another location. Must say it was clean. Bathroom was big. Our room was next to exhaust fan from kitchen. We did not spent lots of time in the room. Too much to see and visit while in Inverness.Great location and great staff.!!!!

Just want to start this off by saying the staff are superb and so friendly. When booking through Expedia we paid extra to have breakfast and parking included. When we arrived they had it noted that we’d paid for breakfast but not parking. Showed my booking and this was fine but they didn’t know this was a thing. Wasn’t informed until 24 hours before stay that the pool/sauna was closed and our booking was non refundable so couldn’t even change hotel. Really disappointed - Expedia info should be changed to reflect this. Doors need silencers or something, I was woken up so much by slamming doors or people chatting right outside my room. Room covered in scuff marks. No AC or fan so had to keep window opened up all night - which meant being woken up by birds or folk working in early morning. Breakfast was just fine. Food was okay but anytime we went down it was looking a bit dirty around food (cereal everywhere, crumbs, spilled food). Carpets all over hotel (especially the staircase) looking really tired and worn. The money paid just didn’t equate to amenities received.

The hotel and the staff were fantastic, only a 15 min walk to the town centre,very quiet and peaceful at night ,breakfast was brilliant in the morning,only thing was our room 102 was extremely warm but apart from that fantastic stay,hopefully get to come back again ,thanks

The rooms are a bit tired as are the hallways. The brown carpet in the bedroom shabby. Its a long walk into town up a hill so we had to always take a taxi. Thus, the location is not ideal for anyone with mobility issues.

Friendly, helpful staff, good breakfast and comfortable bed. Doors need dampers as slam loudly, hotel needs a refurb. Had everything we needed in the room. Can walk into town in 20 mins. Shouldn’t have to pay for parking if you are staying there.

Started with a bit of a hiccup after we checked in but was very promptly resolved by Kristy the duty manager, so thank you. This hotel has very, very helpful friendly staff everywhere, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was spacious and clean, the breakfast had a good range and the location was very handy.

Staff were all very helpful and friendly. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, towel warmer and shower worked well. The television in our room did not work, even after one of the employees tried several fixes. He promised they’d get it fixed or replaced the next day (we were staying two nights). The next afternoon an outside service person came and did make the needed repair. We were appreciative of their follow-up on the issue. They also comped our breakfast for the inconvenience.

Place is a bit worn, kind of quirky. Felt, somehow, somewhat more "authentic" and certainly not corporate. Very friendly and helpful staff. Close enough to Inverness Center to walk (though not with luggage).

I enjoyed my stay at Craigmononie and found it very good value for money. The front desk staff were excellent - efficient and friendly. As for problems, the guys doing the renovations (right next to my room) started work at 0800, a bit early and without warning. The chicken burger in the restaurant was burned. My recommendation is to walk down the road for an evening meal. Breakfast buffet was very good.
