Golf View Hotel & Spa

Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was fresh and a good variety on the menu. Pool area was nice, not too busy and clean.

Lovely big comfortable bedrooms, a cosy library and the conservatory for meals had the best views. The pool area and spa helped make our stay memorable. The hotel had an old fashioned charm but was warm and well looked after. I’d recommend the hotel to anyone travelling to the area.

This is a gorgeous beachfront hotel . The pool area and spa area were immaculate and very relaxing. The staff were very accommodating . Breakfast was served in a bright conservatory style dining room and was delicious

Lots of good, more recent replenishments, like the bathroom, the dining area, and the great swimming pool, hot tub, saunas. Nice well-tended gardens. Great service. But a lot of windows painted immovably shut. And the food was a big let-down. We arrived on Sunday for Sunday dinner at 8, couldn't eat our mains. Breakfasts had the feel of having sat a long time after cooking, bacon burnt to a crisp on 2 out of 4 breakfasts.

Rooms need a bit of TLC. Hot water in the room took a fair bit of time for it to come through. We had a big sea facing room that despite the heating best efforts didn’t get warm even keeping the heavy curtains shut. But the view is best experienced outside so that wasn’t too much of an issue. The bar are was nice and good selection of spirits and good local beers on offer. The food choice was poor, and pricey. We did eat lunch on the first day as the room wasn’t ready but wasn’t good at all. We went to the Sun Dancer at the far end of Nairn and it was exceptional both for service and food quality. The spa has a nice pool, very hot sauna and steam room plus a couple of hot tubs they were good and included. Spa has a thermal experience that comes at a cost of £30pp for a stone bath humidity room (that wasn’t getting up to temp) an experience shower and the Himalayan Salt room.

Beautiful Victorian Hotel, tastefully furnished with excellent service and super staff. Fabulous room with sea view, and a fab bathroom with copper and chrome tub and a 32inch TV fitted into the wall! Even the huge mirror with heated glass!! The dinner menus was excellent and very good food served by courteous staff. All round a super stay, AND a beautiful Spa pool with sea view and every pampering option you could wish for.

A short walk to Nairn harbour will put you on a sandy beach which doesn’t get crowded as it just goes on and on. We had long interesting conversations with the bartender while she kept us supplied with cocktails, mainly the “Dark & Stormy” but unfortunately we didn’t catch her name. Overall we enjoyed our time there and won’t hesitate to incorporate a further stay when we next plan a tour of Scotland as this holiday was.

The room we were allocated was above the kitchen area where the extractor fans are located now they are large and noisy, our small room needed the window to be open but this wasn’t practical as the noise was unbearable! The hotel is looking tired and needs an upgrade, their 4 star status comes from the beautiful location and views. A very expensive one night stay left us more than a little disappointed!

My stay was excellent from start to finish. The hotel was clean and everybody was friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend, and I will be staying again next time l am up in Inverness.

I had ordered a room with sea view but we had view to a roof with iron pipes. However standing looking out the top window we could se the sea between trees! Not what I had expected. I got that thought it had something with my Reward night! But can't prove it. Poor reception, no iformation if we didn't ask ourselves. Room ok but no soap at the washbasin. Breakfast first day fine with fruit nice on a plate, was one af the dishes - second day the fruit was served in a bowl with so much juice, that it look like dishwashing water - not delicious. The hotel likes to appears with a high standard, but then the breakfast must be the same every day and not so different. Very nice pool area - however only one bath, not much if you want people to wash before walking the pool.

What a wonderful hotel - despite my stay being very short I was made to feel very welcomed and comfortable. Rooms here are very spacious and clean. Breakfast was very very good! I didn’t manage to go into the spa but this looked very pleasant. Hotel is quiet and peaceful and right next to the golf clubs and sea views

Beautiful Hotel in an equally beautiful location, good clean pool and Spar facilities. Rooms beautifully decorated, spacious and clean. Most staff were friendly, polite and welcoming. We did find that the Continental Breakfast Buffet was somewhat lacking in choice, the cooked breakfasts were good but a little overcooked. Unfortunately we did find that some staff were lacking attention to detail, we were given sour milk for our Tea/Coffee at breakfast! When we brought this to the staff attention the milk was replaced with another jug…..which also turned out to be just as sour! I was then informed that the dates on the milk bottles were all in date and was offered ‘milk alternatives’ which I politely declined as all I really desired was Fresh milk for my coffee, we were then brought a third jug of milk which thankfully was fresh. We booked an afternoon Tea to celebrate a Birthday and I would recommend this to anyone staying at this Hotel as it was Plentiful and absolutely delicious. We payed for this at time of booking on the day before the Tea. Unfortunately on checking our bank account on the day after, we discovered that the Hotel staff had taken another payment from our account! So we were charged twice for one booking! This was quickly resolved at reception on our checkout and then refunded back onto our payment method. So all in all, yes I would definitely go back to this Hotel, but, I would book room only and go somewhere else for Breakfast.

Lovely hotel, rooms are well decorated and comfortable. We loved going to the pool for a swim! Our view from our room wasn’t ideal but we didn’t upgrade to seaview room so can’t really complain on that, just worth noting if that’s important to your trip! The staff were lovely. I’d recommend booking dinner well in advance, we had to go into Nairn because they were fully booking on arrival - we will be back to try dinner! Breakfast was delicious! Oh and lovely little tray of goodies to congratulate us on our recent wedding!

Lovely hotel situated on the water with fantastic views - worth eating in the restaurant to benefit from these! Room was comfortable - felt that a mini fridge was missing but that was the only gripe. Lovely breakfast with great service from the waiting staff.

We arrived late, around 8 pm, but wished we could have gotten there sooner. It is a beautiful old hotel with wonderful views. The restaurant is elegant and the waiters are very friendly. The room was fabulous and so was the nice, huge bathroom.

Very nice hotel not a very big lift but our room was big and comfortable I need a mobility scooter for getting about was able to use it without any problems

Stayed here many times and always enjoy it. The only negative comment is the staff in the bar and dining area could be a bit more welcoming.

Lots of little niggles made our stay les than memorable like being sent to the wrong floor to check into our room asking for something and it never arrives you are by far not the cheapest Hotel so you expect better service

There were a few niggles credit card would not work when signing in Told to go in the tottaly wrong direction and floor to get to our room Breakfast first morning a disaster ordered 2 poached eggs on toast you could bounce the eggs of the floor they were that hard my wives breakfast was put aside and forgotten about and came with fried egg that would have passed for a hard boiled one bacon incinerated we were having to go to meet people and couldn’t wait for breakfast and to make do with so toast and coffee for breakfast very expensive and not what was expected from a 4?star hotel

Everything was great, just too many young unexperienced staff, making restaurant and bar service slow.
