Doesn’t have parking lot. Have to looking for parking place by customer, i park in another side in front of road my car towed. 200$ ticket. And the hotel dirty, if you drive don’t live in this hotel

It is an old building and although the furniture is old in every single room, it is very clean. My room didn't have any closet to store my clothes for 7 days but I managed to hang them in the bathroom. I really like the location, because it has a 3 min walk to a bus stop that can take you to several places. I highly recommend this hotel. They also serve american coffee everyday and there is access to filtered water fountain, microwave and a toaster.

There is no parking at this hotel and staff don’t help you in anyway to get parking had to park car at another hotel at 70 dollies a night and walk 3 blocks with are luggage!! Took 2 hours to find a place that would take are car for safe parking. For the amount we paid for parking and hotel price we could had gotten a much better hotel with parking!! And there is no breakfast at hotel to . And another slap in the face is they charge $150 security deposit at this crappy hotel!

AC was directly above my head on the bed, could not keep it on. My door had a horizontal crack, almost the entire length of the door, so much so, that the light from the corridor shone through it; only about a foot, in the middle was not cracked otherwise too and bottom cracked right through. The only way to access foyer from the street was a series of steps so very difficult for luggage. Room was very small, bathroom was extremely small. No coffee/tea or small fridge facilities in the room. It was clean. I would not book there again.

- good neighborhood location - helpful staff - Free drinking water is a bonus * didn't like the steps going up the main entrance: a ramp is ideal for seniors with luggages. I was surprised no one offered to carry our heavy luggage from stair landing up the front door. ( in retrospect, I could have asked front desk)

Upon arrival lobby was clean $46 for parking in a back alley. I opted out of parking and found street parking because $46 a night was ridiculous to be in someone’s alley, rooms very very very small AC barely worked. Great location it was clean just needed some updating.

There were BED BUGD in my room, and they are putting up a fight to refund me. DO NOT STAY HERE. It completely ruined my whole trip and I missed most of my conference trying to launder, steam, and plastic bag my belongings to prevent the spread from going home and to the new hotel I ended up leaving for.

When I got into the room my bed was dirty. I immediately informed the front desk and called housekeeping and she was even irritated. He took pictures and so did i. There were blood stains on the sheets. It was pretty gross. They did replace all bedding immediately. But it should not be this way. That's disgusting! And you should hire better people for housekeeping but then I was wondering what else she did not clean properly. Thank God it was only one night. Reception was very friendly.

Older property as described, but immaculate! Quiet even though I was in the first room by the entrance. Would definitely stay again. Only suggestion for improvement of the room wouid be to get a 2-3inch foam topper for the bed. Great location, too!

I couldn't sleep because of the noise in the corridor, slamming doors, elevator bell, outside AC fan... The room is so tiny, with no sound insulation, and a thin door like at home, not insolated eather!!!

The room we had was extremely small. We had to share the bed with an air-conditioner. Bed jammed against the wall on one side and barely enough to pass on the other side, one person had to climb over the other to go to toilet. Should be for single bed only.

The room was very small and didn't have a closet to hang my business suits. The door jamb had evidence of damage as though it had been kicked in previously. I've never seen a bathroom that small. The paint on the walls looked like it was applied by an amateur, there was missing grout on the floor tiles, the pillow smelled like cooking oil and the air conditioner only worked if it was on level high. I saw several rats just outside the front door. The price was low, but the room still wasn't worth it in my opinion.

Basic box room with a bed. It will be fine if you need the place to just crash in the night and leave. The reason for the two star is the access. If you need access after midnight you need to carry some luck. The front door is not manned always. I had to stay out close to an hour as there was none to open. Other than check in at set times, property advertise as 24 hours access though which was not true in my case

Very inept staff- even with previous verification of check-in requirements and emailed credit card information and confirmation that our check-in was fine, we were still held up by staff on check-in and it took 2 hours to fix. Incredibly frustrating and poor management. I actually felt bad for the staff as they were very confused by the whole process. Cannot recommend this place at all.

The front desk's guidance regarding street parking resulted in $200.00 in parking and towing fees. Given the circumstances of rush hour and no-parking restrictions, who will be responsible for these incurred costs? It is imperative that I receive accurate information regarding parking regulations to avoid future incidents.

The hotel was cheap and dated, room was clean though. The staff was absolutely horrible. The battery in my door died so my key card would not work and the door would not open. They said there was nothing they could do until the morning and they would not put me in another room. They were unhelpful and rude telling me that there was nothing they could do and I could book and PAY for another room for the night.

When I arrived at the hotel, I stood at the reception desk and was told "4pm" without even asking what I wanted or how they could help me! I arrived at the hotel at 3:40pm, hoping to check in or at least drop off my luggage so I could go out to eat. I had a 7-hour trip from Rhode Island and was tired and hungry. I wasn't begging; I just needed some amenities from the staff. The room was clean, as was the bathroom. My only complaint was that it didn't have curtains, and you had to wake up at the sunrise, which, by the way, was at 5:53am. The best thing about the hotel was its location.

For the first time ive ever experienced, they actually made everyone wait until 4 to check in. A bunch of us were all waiting in the lobby, and then at 4 they suddenly started checking everyone in. If the rooms are ready, dont make your guests wait. Otherwise the stay has been fine

I really enjoyed how close I felt to local restaurants and there is a grocery store on the next street over, I was a ten minute walk to the nearest metro station and it was so convenient to get around DC. This Hotel was excellent to rest my head at night and get up ready to explore.

The location is great. The room was clean and had everything I needed. Not big and not fancy but adequate for a place to sleep comfortably. The bed was comfortable, the A/C worked, the bathroom was clean and well-appointed. The real negative is the common areas. Upon walking in the lobby, I was hit with a strong smell that made me wonder if I had made a big mistake. The lobby and hallways are beyond tired. Worn carpets, etc. a lobby freshen up would make a much better first impression. I would stay there again.

It was a good price for being able to walk to the White House and national mall in 15-20 mins. Convenient to bus transportation (5 mins) and Whole Foods, not the Metro (20-25 mins). The interior of the room was updated, the public areas felted dated, but I didn't care. Had they been more updated, the room would have been more expensive... imagine that. Compare to the boutique hotel right next door (Viceroy).

great budget hotel, perfect if you are on the go and just need a place to sleep. No frills and font expect any, but beds are so comfy!! There is no restaurant, but loads near by, White House only 20 min walk. Poor WiFi. Staff are great. I would stay there again.

District Hotel is fantastic. I'll be staying there again. Amazing beds, so comfy!! Good showers and bathrooms. Coffee every morning. Great neighborhood and near all the shops and restaurants. Whole Foods is around the corner. It's not a slicked out fancy hotel, but it has everything you need and more. The staff are super nice and the place was clean and tidy.

Clean, old world charm (I mean it, this is not a negative). Rooms are small, no gym, but if your are lookong for a great location with shops and cafes nearby around the corner and clean but small rooms and friendly staff, this ia the place. Coffee 24/7 in lobby was nice too. The proce can't be beat. Great proximity to everything.

Room was very clean. Bed and pillows were sufficiently comfortable. The location is excellent. It is an older building. If you want to stay in a great location, pay a low price compared to other area hotels, and only need a place to sleep and shower, this can work for you. There’s nothing luxurious about it. It is small. The bathroom was tiny. But it was clean and inexpensive. Staff was fine. Nothing memorable or exceptional about them but they did their job. Wi-Fi wasn’t the best. No breakfast included but they had a water fountain and coffee. We had breakfast at the Viceroy next door. Expensive but good. We stayed three nights during June and never heard any noises or loudness from other tenants or from the street. Felt completely safe.

It is an excellent location for the price. There are many dining choices, a Whole Foods around the corner, lots of people and seemed very safe. The Metro was a bit of a walk, but it's not the best system. The 52 bus gave pretty good acess to the Mall.

Chose The District Hotel for its location. 10 min walk to Tge White House. Arrived early & they allowed me to check in. Lovely Thai restaurant just round the corner. Couldn’t have been better. Thank you.
