At The Belsfield Hotel, travellers love the lakeside setting and friendly staff, yet ongoing refurbishments with scaffolding and an unreliable old lift, variable room quality, mixed breakfast experiences, and paid on-site parking temper the otherwise scenic, comfortable stay.

First time staying at The Belsfield and we had a wonderful stay. Beautiful hotel, lovely staff in all areas, very attentive and Joy was an absolute joy, she was very helpful in the dining room as my partner is a coeliac. We had dinner in the evening and food was lovely, very delicious.......fantastic location too for all amenities. Definitely our go to hotel now for future visits to Bowness.

The hotel is in a great position and we had a wonderful room overlooking Lake Windermere it was therefore handy for the facilities of Bowness, ALL the staff were friendly and very helpful, with a special mention to Phil and Ali, our only criticism is that the bar does not have enough variety of draught beers/lagers. I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel.

Only issue we had was i asked for breakfast on sunday morning, earlier than the usual breakfast time due to me running windermere marathon. I asked twice, once when arrived, and again the saturday afternoon for breakfast to be ready early. It did not arrive, i had less than 20 mins to have food before my race. The hotel explained it was sent to the wrong room. Not great. Other than that our stay was lovely, when i didn’t need to rush around for breakfast it was very nice, their meals in the restaurant was also very nice. The staff were great too other than that one time in the sunday.

The room was well kept and clean but did not have an AC but each room had its own fan which made up for on the warmer days. The greatest was continental and provided good range for vegetarians. All the stuff were lovely and very helpful.
