The staff on reception were friendly, and welcoming. The breakfast was traditional English breakfast. The lovely ladies serving and looking after breakfast were simply superb, attentive, and professional. Their warmth and maturity really stood out and, in our experience, surpassed the service we received at all the other hotels we stayed at this summer. We also had beautiful sea views overlooking Newquay from the terrace outside our room. Priceless.

it's quite an old hotel so the rooms are a little dated, but our room was very clean and we got a bigger room than we booked. The staff were all very polite and helpful, and we really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice and the food was good quality. Lovely views from the hotel and really nice sitting outside. We had our dog with us and were able to access most areas with him. Makes a nice change from more modern hotels that lack any sort of character, we would certainly stay again

Parking good you have to pay extra £+2 per night. It was hot so windows in bedroom open lots of traffic noise if not on sea side of hotel..didn't see a lift so stairs...very good views of sea lounge and outside seating area. .public transport bus close by.train station very short walk away.

Tired, shabby, squeaky. The staff did a good job on a hot bank holiday weekend with a check-in queue out the door but personally I’d knock it down and start again.
