The staff was very friendly. Clean facility. Comfortable beds. There is not an elevator, which was surprising. Try to get a room on first floor if possible or you'll be hauling luggage and what not up stairs.

Check-in was a little slow due to the gentleman in front of me checking in so that’s not the hotels problem very friendly check-in customer service. The only real problem I had was I have a difficulty going up and downstairs. There was no elevator and they did not have a ground floor as I had requested, the room was very clean. No bedbugs check out went well. They didn’t offer anykind of Continental breakfast

The maintenance that was done in the room was poorly done so it didn't look as good as it should. The coffee was terrible and had to be cut with hot water to make it drinkable. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.

Stayed here for my Nephews Graduation from Navy BC and we enjoyed it. Theres no pool or breakfast but they have a fridge and microwave. Both front desk agent are professional and friendly. Clean room and AC kept us cool. My kids loved it here. Maybe next time have small breakfast even if its just waffles and Coffee/juice.

Bed sheets were dirty. Found some yellow stains and a few that looked like dried blood. Our toilet didn't work on arrival as it drained real slow and left bigger waste. AC and wifi worked though. Overall would not recommend to someone unless they had an emergency or were on a tight budget.

When arriving the outside of the property was clean. The hallways needed vacuuming you can tell it wasn’t done. When checking into my room #204 we had no bath clothes went to the front desk to get some and the guy gave me cleaning clothes as bath clothes which was shocking. While taking a shower the water wouldn’t drain so the tub would fill up with water which was very nasty.

The rooms were incredibly unclean. When it was mentioned the first time (lights didn’t work, patched holes in walls, red, pink, brown, and clear stains all over the bed and pillows) we were offered another room across the hall. When it was mentioned the second time (specifically when there were clear stains all over the pillows that were noticed again) I was told “it’s not the pillow, just the pillow case” by Sam and then was handed a pillow case to put on the same unclean pillow. There were other safety issues such as the main lock that goes over the door was busted in half when we got in the room and so much more. For the price we paid, it was completely unexceptional for the rooms to be in the condition they were & the way the staff responded was horrible.

Called ahead a few weeks before stay for a room on the first floor from owners son.. He didnt save it for us. So had to go to second floor. No elevators!. Got a into the room , found very dirty sheets on bed. Attendant accused her of dirtying them. Gave us another room and sheets was fine but floor was dirty as well as hair in bathroom sink and strong sewage smell coming from bathroom sink while getting ready. Never will i stay there again..

This place is awful. Dirty, and infested with roaches and bugs. Had to be moved rooms due to roaches, then 2nd had bugs crawling on the walls and dead ones on floor. Hair in shower, kept stepping on pieces of loose grout from floor. Also recieved a nice bite on my leg. I should have walked out. Place will not work with me on refund for dirty unsanitary conditions.

The the check-in process was smooth and fast. When we got into our room, I went to the restroom, and there were three roaches in the bathroom. The staff was quick to try to resolve the issue and gave us another room. The second room that we were put in the ceiling. I had cracks in it and looked very unsafe, the website said that they offered hot coffee in the lobby and there was Luke warm coffee. We tried parking into a handicapped spot and was asked to move our vehicle and was told by staff that they did not have handicapped parking but there was a sign on the side of the building offering handicap parking.

Laminate Flooring in a hotel is silly. You hear the footsteps from above quite clearly. It also doesn’t dampen the sound so you can hear conversations snoring in the room above. The Bed is bad. Old spring mattress on a loud tin base with no box spring of any kind. Clean but not comfortable. Overall no chance I would return. The property has a lot of positives but the overall comfort and noise makes it hard to get the rest you need while away. New beds and sound insulation would go a long way from making this a 4/5 instead a 1/5.

Price was reasonable. The rooms are not carpeted but have luxury vinyl tile instead. The room above us walked around with shoes or boots much of the time, which we heard all night. The price was right, the place was clean, but stay on the top floor for better acoustics.

When I get there I asked for a top floor and they told me can’t do that because my reservation was for kingside bed and top floor only have double beds and I said that’s no problem for me but they don’t want to make any changes Also when you are in the bedroom nothing it’s quite, you can hear people walking on top floor and when they are using the bathroom, can’t sleep , I don’t recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to rest I never come back to any Red Roof in

I didn't like hearing the 2nd floor creaked badly when occupants were up and about. The foot steps were hesrd very loudly over head from the first floor. Made me wonder if the flooring is carpeted.

Stayed there for three nights and they never once changed our sheets or gave us new towels. Had to ask for toilet paper and they made us come to the front counter to get it. Check-in was easy. if you’re looking for a cheap hotel in the area this is it, but don’t expect much. The hallways smelled like fish. They do allow one pet. Outside of the property was clean. But when you get into the unit and look closely at things….. Just be careful. 1 star maybe 2.

I had a wonderful stay at the Red roof Inn, the rooms were clean and smelled nice. The manager that took care of me during my stay was amazing, super kind and very helpful. Would 10/10 recommend and would definitely stay there again!

Will not stay here again. Not happy with being charged when I didn't make it in on time due to my flight and then an overcharge of when I checked out without a valid explanation. At least reimburse my over charge to show some good faith but no, the manager at this hotel was very unprofessional and it seems like they just take people's money when they can. They could at least offer maybe donuts to go with the coffee. Never again. Very disappointed.

I called the hotel asking how much a deposit would be with two kids and two dogs, I was very specific to ensure ease with check in, Night staff around 9 when I got there basically told me they quoted me for a room for TWO CHILDREN and two dogs, then told they couldn't accommodate me unless I booked a second room, however would not offer me a conjoining room, mind you all of this after this man looked me in my face and told me he thought I meant two kids and two dogs...... just not good business. Waiting on a refund, was told by front desk clerk the manager was called and approved a refund, but not showing anywhere so far so we will see. Very dissatisfied with this.

Housekeeping staff were great. Management were rude and argumentative. I asked a question and the desk clerk rudely interrupted me and said i am telling you what you need to know ao be quiet. I told him to back off. Also the second night someone locked their spouse out of the room a copule of doors up from our room. The spouse was beating and beating on the door and woke us up at 3am in the morning. I get up and look out the door and there stands the rude desk clerk with 3 other guests and he says go back in your room. I said get this settled now. About 10 minutes later after the hallway cleared the man and woman were in the hallway yelling at each other. I call the front desk and its rude desk clerk. I try to tell him about the conformation happening in rhe hallway. He starts yelling i took care of it. I said get up here and so yiur job or im calling rhe cops. About 5 mins later silence. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and houaekepping were very friendly and helpful.

Serves its purpose for a navy graduation. Uber was 5-18$ to the base. Beds were comfortable. Tub/shower leaked on bathroom floor. The nightlife happening outside the hotel was very loud and slightly sketchy. Daytime was fine. Not as close to base as expected.

We stayed at the Red Roof Inn - Gurnee for two nights. Check-in was quick & the clerk was very knowledgeable and helpful about nearby dining & shopping, information & instructions to the Naval Graduation & shuttle service. Every room has a small fridge & microwave. The rooms and common areas were clean. Quiet area with plenty of outdoor areas for pets. There are no elevators, so if you cannot tolerate stairs, I would request a first floor room when booking. There is no continental breakfast but a Burger King, Wendy's & McDonald's within walking distance. Overall, we enjoyed our stay & would recommend.

Not enough food options, no vending machines in the hotel, nothing in the room to write on or with, no tv guide other than on the tv, no phone book. I understand most people uses their phone for everything, so what happens to a guest that is not comfortable looking for everything on a cell phone?
