Elevator was not working so we had to walk up 3 flights of stairs. I feel the hotel should have called us ahead of time and gave us the option to cancel. Instead they waited until after we had already checked in to let us know the elevator wasn’t working and that we were on the 3 floor. Also, the microwave was filthy.

Had the Premium Suite but there was nothing Premium about it. It did not come with the snack amenities pictured. The room was larger but it was empty. There was no extra furniture to make up for the extra space. Huge kitchen area but no table to sit at. One chair at the desk in the entire room. No clock. No room service unless requested. We didn’t want it so we just set our trash outside the room in the morning. Came back that night to it still sitting there. The carpet throughout the entire hotel is disgusting: stained, ripped, and wrinkled. Pool says it closes at 11. Front desk clerk said he shuts it down at 9:45 every night.

We had a great stay. The staff were extremely helpful including David and Lana at the front desk. Breakfast food was very good and the coffee was always available in the lobby. We stayed there to attend our daughter’s graduation from Navy bootcamp and would definitely stay there again. Also, the fitness center was very above par compared to other Hampton Inn we have stayed at in the past.

Arrived Wednesday August 13, 2025 late in the evening. We were given a room on the ground floor. We were extremely tired and ready to go to bed. Immediately after opening the door to the room, the smell of stinking shoes, mildew, or even body odor made the hair in our nose curl!! It was absolutely atrocious. Went immediately to the front desk to get another room and was told that no other room was available. We asked for a box fan and only because we were pressed for time to test, stayed in the room. We were there from 11:30 pm Wednesday to Thursday August at 5:00 am. When I initially went to complain about the smell in the room and asked the desk clerk to come smell the room, he immediately said he believed me!!! I guess so, we probably were not the only people to complain about that room!! Had to pick up head cold medication the next day, because all of us had stuffy noses from the foul smell in the darn room. Had to request another room the next day. No problem getting it, but absolutely no mention of taking anything off the price of that disgusting room.

Upon inspection of room, we found a lot of human and pet hair under the pillow and on the sheets I also found here on the bathroom sink and toilet. Obviously, the room had never been cleaned. I advised the front desk and they gave us another room.

The room wasn’t very clean. There was hair in the bed, sink, and shower. The carpet had debris on it and there were cob webs and hand prints on the wall. The staff was super nice but I won’t be staying there again.

The overall stay was enjoyable at this property. It’s in a clean area, plenty of amenities, breakfast good as well. The only thing I gave a lower rating on was the condition of the hotel, over all the property is in good condition, the room was very comfortable and spacious. The reason for the lower rating in this area was the carpet in the 4th floor hallway was less than to be desired and honestly a tripping hazard as it is loose at the seams and frayed, hopefully they’ve already identified and have a plan in place to correct this.

We didn’t like that we had a complicated check in process after a long day attending a funeral for my son-in-law. We just wanted to get into our room and relax. Apparently the hotels credit card machine wasn’t working. Another couple trying to check in couldn’t get in. Our card didn’t work, my daughter’s card didn’t work! We had to sign up through an email in order for them to let us have our room! After a very long check in process, we were finally able to get a room which I thought was already secured through Expedia! The hall carpets in this hotel are raised in many places, and could be a potential tripping hazard. The room itself appeared clean, but I found a partially eaten pizza in pizza box that was above the refrigerator.

I booked this hotel for a peaceful sleep. Heater couldnt be turned off. With normal fan mode it was making the room more and more cold and i couldnt do anything and it made the air dry and had severe sore throat and sleepless night.

Everything was great…the hallway and elevator area carpet looked like it needed to be stretched or replaced…the later is more likely. In our room the shades wouldn’t close. I had asked for them too fix it and they said they would come to the room to do so…but it didn’t work when we tried the cord.

The rooms and common area are very clean and the size of the room is very generous and spacious. We really like this hotel and recommend for anyone travel to North Chicago as it near to the Mall, the groceries and exceptional customer service.

I’ll start with the good. The facility is very nice and updated and clean. The staff was very friendly. The pool was small but adequate and I loved the outline and design of the room. I didn’t partake but the hot breakfast I’m sure is a hit by a lot of people. Now the bad. The website says that it’s pet friendly and you don’t find out until you get there that there’s an additional $75 fee to be pet friendly and it’s nonrefundable. It’s an additional fee. The bed was hard as a rock. It was the worst hotel stay sleeping wise that I have ever had. The pillows are small and squishy and square And there was really no way to get comfortable between the two I was on the first floor and every time the person above me flushed it sound like a waterfall going on over my head and anytime anybody in the floor is above me used their shower. There was this weird hum in the wall that never went away.

This is our go-to for Six Flags visits. We've stayed here numerous times and always have a great experience. We had a hiccup with our room not being cleaned, but the front desk staff immediately set it right. We understand things happen, but we were pleased with the customer service.

The property was below average compared to other Hampton Inns we have stayed in the past. The front desk service was impersonal and unhelpful. The air conditioner in our room was broken. It was rattling and didn’t blow any cold air. We were there for a tournament. We asked for a late check out while waiting to hear if our son’s team advances to the finals in which case we would book the room for 1 more night. The front desk person told us they have plenty of rooms available for the additional night but no room available for late check out. They said even if we book the additional night, we still have to move out of the room at noon and check back in at 3. They were very dismissive and rude, didn’t seem to care about customer service. I am a Hilton Honors member and had stayed at plenty of Hilton properties at all levels. This is the worst customer service I have experienced. Would not recommend the property to anyone.

After a 10 hour drive, the front desk staff was nowhere to be found upon arrival and no sign indicating they were on a break and would return shortly. I stood there for over 5 minutes before I left to return to my vehicle to call for assistance. In the meantime the front desk clerk did make her way to the desk. While I was checking in she was rude and confrontational in a way I had never experienced at any other Hampton Inn check in. It made me uncomfortable for the remainder of my 3 night stay. Our bathroom had hairs on the walls and in the shower from the occupants before us. Parking was easy, though there was a $4 plus charge per night. Lots of restaurants nearby. The area felt safe and the room was quiet at night. We would not stay there again but only due to the front desk clerk and the lack of cleanliness in the bathroom.

Perfect hotel for a Six Flags weekend! 10-15 min from Six Flags and quite a few restaurants within 4-5 min too. We took advantage of the free breakfast and pool too. We will definitely be back for our next trip to Six Flags!

Great stay. Staff was amazing and couldn’t be better. Breakfast was only served until 9am. Not late enough. I don’t want to have to set my alarm to make b fast. Carpet in hallway was terrible and dirty. Room was amazing. Hotel was quiet and great location. Nice amenities.

Air conditioner did not turn off making noise and the front desk person from 3rd shift, had a terrible attitude. Safe box did not work and did not fix it. The website says that breakfast is available up to 10am, which is wrong, it is up to 9am. They did not have enough food for all the guests. Very bad experience.

For two days we stayed there, breakfast service was horrible. There were long lines of guests waiting for food. The chef brought out a handful of omelettes that were only enough for the first five people in the line. The chef would then disappear behind closed doors only to show up with a handful of boiled potatoes 45 minutes later. My family and I and many other guests never got a chance to eat anything for breakfast at the hotel but instead had to drive to some nearby restaurant for service.

I only have 2 main complaints about my stay. The first complaint is the pillows are too soft and make for a highly uncomfortable night's sleep. I woke up with a sore neck. The next complaint i have is regarding the breakfast. Not enough food was prepared for the amount of guests in the hotel. Otherwise, the staff was pleasant and the hotel itself was clean and accommodating.

While the hotel itself was clean, the beds were hard. There was a pile of towels on the floor in the closet. We were unsure if they were clean or used as some were folded. There were also black hairs in our toilet when we arrived, so not positive the bathroom was cleaned either. The shampoo was almost empty in the shower. There was a bug on the fresh fruit during our breakfast and we had to ask for things to be restocked (example syrup) at 7:30am (breakfast is from 6-10am). And I was very frustrated to discover there is a parking fee. After paying over $900 to stay there, I feel parking should be free!!!!!!!!
