Visit family and friends. Disabled parking requirements require looking at. As our signage kept being move by other guests to suit their needs. Maybe hang the disabled sign on the post.

Helpful team, with good service and a smile ! Accommodating and made you feel welcome. the building is older, which is cleaned well, but odd signs of being worn. Food at the Bistro was very tasty ! Will stay again. There is building work in the overflow car park, so parking is limited.

Great location in a beautiful character hotel. Amazing breakfast served in beautiful room overlooking the gardens. Would be lovely to return on a warm day to sit and enjoy the outside spaces. Rooms are very comfortable, clean and provide everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Friendly staff too!

Only criticism was the carpark, very small spaces. We booked and were allocated a space for the 2 days, having gone out for tha afternoon someone moved our named reserved spot so had to find another. Having complained, I was refunded the £20. Otherwise good stay

I arrived late to a very warm welcome. Check-in was quick and the reception guy carried my bag to a very cool room with an incredible downstairs bathroom. Parking is limited but I was lucky. Brief but a great stay

Greeted by the GM. made us feel at home..very convenient location by foot to where we needed to go. Very clean and smelled good :-) excellent shower in the ugraded room. very comfortable beds. A must stay!!

Very noisy room. Facing the street. Lift was opposite the door to our room. Poor quality bedding. Pillow very cheap hard feathers. One pillow case had blood spatters on it. Another pillo2 had blood stains on the inner pilow case. The continental breakfast had a very limited selection. One of the worst I have encountered in any hotel. The table in the restaurant were very shabby.

Nice hotel, but it is in need of an upgrade; it’s beginning to look a bit tatty for the money you pay. I booked a last minute deal and had already paid for my room in advance. On top of that the hotel wanted to secure the room’s cost on my credit card as a deposit. I explained that I had already paid and when I’d stayed here previously, the hotel had processed the deposit and I’d paid twice for the one night. It took 14 days for the money to be released back on to my account. After much arguing, I was told I didn’t have to leave a deposit. When I got to the room, I got a glass out of the “bar area” of the room and discovered despite having a fridge, it was not stocked. I am puzzled as to why I was asked for a deposit since there were no drinks available. Maybe they’ve had untrustworthy guests in the past, but when you stay somewhere and are automatically not trusted, it leaves a rather bad tastes. There’s a budget hotel in the area where I actually receive much better treatment. I think I’ll stay there instead.

I can’t think of a single thing to give this review balance. It’s a lovely, characterful building; but not struggling with modern service. Place looked great, spotless. Bistro food was excellent too, with fantastic service from every staff member - I wish I’d asked the name of the lovely maître d’ about the go on maternity leave who was particularly helpful & friendly. All the little bits that can trip up a stay were negated perfectly. Like I say: no balance here, sorry.

Enjoyed a one night stay here. Received a complimentary upgrade on arrival. Lovely spacious room with large bathroom including a roll top bath. L’occitane toiletries were available in the room. Bed was large and very comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. Hotel was quiet and we were not disturbed at all during the night. Complimentary water and coffee in room. No parking available on site as they were fully booked so we parked in local public car park a short walk away. This option was a lot cheaper than the hotel parking charge. I would recommend this hotel.

The stay was good however at night there was noises like vibration which kept me up a bit. Room was a little hot, there was a fan but as the room is facing the sun it didn’t cool down until the sun went down.

locality and cleanliness good on arrival the male staff member was indifferent There was no wifi again this visit, staff know about this problem, wasted lots of time waiting for assistance before we had to move rooms to acquire wifi. room was very cold, again male staff member did’nt have a clue, waited a long time before eventually getting a radiator delivered to room, waited until 11.30pm before bathroom was warm enough to have a shower. l was told the heating problem would be sorted the following day and management would be informed. on arriving back to the room the heating wasnt sorted, we had to switch on the radiator and wait again for the room to warm up. l had to call management who apologised saying they hadn’t been given any info on the problems we had since arriving, offered another room butt having already moved once we declined. we were offered a coffee!! the following day we were asked if we were dining in the bistro and if. so to call the manager to which we did, we were told we could have a free glass of wine after first being offered a bottle but then said it would be “house wine” or a glass of wine. Given we had a terrible first night and then having to warm up our room each time we got back into the hotel this shallow offer was not acceptable guest satisfaction. A very disappointing second stay, we wont go back

Nice hotel but room directly above wedding party. Staff knew this and room still sold. Music so loud could not even hear TV and floor shaking. Unacceptable to sell this room to clients in the full knowledge that it would be impossible to rest in it. Awful experience

The hotel itself is beautiful, and in a fantastic location. Check in and out was quick and uncomplicated, and parking can be reserved at an additional £15 per day. Our room was nicely appointed, but small and without AC. Although a Dyson fan was provided, it wasn’t very effective. As the rooms are all named, it’s quite tricky to find where your room is. We booked a smaller room which had a bigger (king) bed as advertised, our bed was not a king. When we challenged this with reception, we were told a queen bed is bigger than a king. There was a private party on one night with a DJ that reception did make us aware of, and the music was off at 11pm as promised.

Overall a decent hotel. Cooked breakfasts were particularly nice. Delicious smoked kippers with hard boiled eggs and toast soldiers. Excellent coffee from the coffee machine. Would have liked larger portions of fruit salad and plain yogurt to be offered in breakfast buffet (was provided on request). Bed comfortable. Kettle and fridge very welcome. Room perhaps needed a little more storage space. Climbing into bath perhaps a little difficult for our height - 5 foot 6 inches. Room had air conditioning but did not need to switch it on. Early 19th century property - lifts worked but quite old. Town centre - railway station and lots of restaurants and shops within a short walk. Car park not very large but we came by train. If using taxis make sure you have a price quote for journey.

Good hotel and nice garden and attentive staff. Only 3 stars as I needed 30 minutes late checkout so I could have teams call. They wanted to charge me £15 for this which I thought is poor and a bit grabby. I understand if it’s for hours and how it would mess up a cleaning rota etc , but for 30 minutes ? Really! Won’t be using this chain again because of this policy.

Given we had a terrible first night and then having to warm up our room each time we got back into the hotel this shallow offer was not acceptable guest satisfaction. The hotel itself is beautiful, and in a fantastic location. Check in and out was quick and uncomplicated, and parking can be reserved at an additional £15 per day. Our room was nicely appointed, but small and without AC. Although a Dyson fan was provided, it wasn’t very effective. As the rooms are all named, it’s quite tricky to find where your room is. We booked a smaller room which had a bigger (king) bed as advertised, our bed was not a king. When we challenged this with reception, we were told a queen bed is bigger than a king. There was a private party on one night with a DJ that reception did make us aware of, and the music was off at 11pm as promised.

The hotel itself was very good, and well situated, with comfortable clean rooms, and the breakfast was also very good. The only real downside was the staff attitude in general: whilst they completed their tasks, they were not particularly friendly and welcoming, which, in a town where other hotels are available, is particularly important! Mangemnt need to do some additional customer service training.

If you want a full service hotel with a small inn or B&B feel to it - Hotel du Vin is a great choice. The food in the Bistro was excellent and the service from the team in the bar is wonderful as well. Great location for walking to local restaurants and shopping. We would definitely recommend the Hotel du Vin.

Lovely Hotel in prime position to Royal Tunbridge Wells we walked to were we needed to go to family wedding.Reserved parking was a nice touch.Room upgrade was also nice as we stayed two nights only we choose to not have our room refreshed and received drinks voucher to use in the bar instead.Food was fresh and well presented in all excellent.

Great location in a beautiful character hotel. Amazing breakfast served in beautiful room overlooking the gardens. Would be lovely to return on a warm day to sit and enjoy the outside spaces. Overall a decent hotel. Cooked breakfasts were particularly nice. Delicious smoked kippers with hard boiled eggs and toast soldiers. Excellent coffee from the coffee machine. Would have liked larger portions of fruit salad and plain yogurt to be offered in breakfast buffet (was provided on request). Bed comfortable. Kettle and fridge very welcome. Room perhaps needed a little more storage space. Climbing into bath perhaps a little difficult for our height - 5 foot 6 inches. Room had air conditioning but did not need to switch it on. Early 19th century property - lifts worked but quite old. Town centre - railway station and lots of restaurants and shops within a short walk. Car park not very large but we came by train. If using taxis make sure you have a price quote for journey.

This was our second stay here. We booked "Half Board", and were upgraded to a better room which was very good indeed. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Our only slight concern was with our dinner main course, which seemed less good than previously. Hopefully this was "a glitch"

Had best room in hotel with discount. Large, great park views and bath in room. Good biscuits, milk, chocolate and coffee. My fillet steak was undercooked. V disappointing. I was given a discount after it was cooked some more, but not what you want.

I couldn't fault the welcome, check in was super quick and friendly. I got lost in the hotel as there is no signage and the verbal directions were a little quiet so I couldn't hear. The rooms are named after wines and brandy which was a nice touch but made navigation trickier. Room was cosy and super comfy, it had everything that I needed. Coffee bags as opposed to instant so that was good. Nice view of a luscious green, well maintained lawn. My only issue was with breakfast, despite giving a month's notice that I required a vegan breakfast, there was no vegan sausage. I was given an extra half of defrosted avocado. The scrambled tofu arrived late (as apparently they cooked me an egg) and it was super wet and tasted slightly metallic. The oat milk curdled in the coffee. Overall a rather uninspiring breakfast and to top it off, the cleaner was vacuuming the stairs right by the bistro so constant noise. Breakfast service was being cleared whilst guests were still coming in.

We had a lovely overnight stay, great location, nice hotel and fabulous staff - in particular Viktoria on Reception who was so welcoming, efficient and friendly. We were also very well looked after in the bar by Marlon , who treated us to a fantastic cocktail and also made us feel very welcome. Thank you , friendly service like that makes for a great memorable stay.
