In need of upgrading, very dated hotel. We had a room overlooking the car park which was noisy as the trips leave from there so lots of noise very early in the morning. The room was ok but again dated and the lady on reception wasn't very pleasant. If you don't book direct with the hotel they charge you £10 a night for parking which is a bit offensive when you've paid nearly £800 for the stay. I certainly would not choose this hotel again.

Wonderful 5 night stay. Staff amazing, Tracy, Esther, Lillian and Beatrice (Bea) and Jon. Can't remember all their names, sorry. Lovely choice at breakfast, food topped up even until breakfast finishing time. 24 hour sandwiches available, very useful. Lovely terrace to sit out on, but a pity it shut at 6pm. The terrace had only been open for 3 months, so this could change. Nice pool and gardens, and you could hire pool towels. Would I stay here again, most definitely.

Great location, right across from a pier with access to the sea. Good food and kind staff. The hotel pool was only open part of the time due to weather conditions. And no beach towels were provided, so bring your own.

There was no lift to the family room 87a . This made things awkward with kids and push chairs and everything that goes with a young family . They dont have air con , although it wasnt the end of the world i was surprised especially for people who stay in july and august . Not having air con was not the end of the world as stated but not having a fridge in the room is totally unacceptable especially with babes under two who still rely on milk . The whole place is dated , it does have a great position for the beach , breakfast was good but nothing fancy , afternoon food times a joke , you never know when there serving or if its just sandwiches, no shower room to depart , theres no way this is kid or family friendly with young children , stairs at thr front , stairs at the rear , taxis will only drop at the rear because of parking out front , so thats at least 15-20 steps up stairs , Overall 4 out of 10 , should not be marketed as family or young children compatible , very disappointed and feel mislead by expedia .

Lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. All food was great, breakfast set us up for the day! Good Location just outside St Helier centre and a fabulous tidal pool to swim in the sea just opposite the hotel. Outdoor pool at the hotel is heated to a good temperature.

We were very happy with this choice of hotel, the staff were friendly and helpful, it was clean, there was a good breakfast selection and whilst there was a good choice of food on the menu the bistro menu had about 8 main choices and kids 5-6 choices, the main dining area had 3 starter, main & dessert choices but only ate there once as the choices weren't always our liking. The pool was small and water chilly, although it suggested a heated pool. It was opposite a nice clean and lifeguarded beach / natural lido. Overall a great holiday and would choose to stay there again.

My family and I had two family rooms - one was bigger than the other, but both good rooms. The rooms were immaculately clean and the bathrooms were nice. We really liked the convenience of the bus stops outside, and the location on the beach with the lovely lido too - fantastic spot. And the staff we met were truly lovely, friendly people (the blonde woman who worked at breakfast and at the bar was fab!). Breakfast was excellent with plenty of hot and cold options. My family also got good use of the small heated pool. Beds were comfy too. The one thing that upset me was on our last full day. We went out in the morning and came back to our rooms around 3pm. The door to my room was kept ajar slightly by a cleaning cloth wedging it open - I assume that a cleaner meant to come back to finish the room. However, they didn't, and basically left my room unlocked and open for god knows how long. Nothing was taken, but it really was upsetting and worrying - a careless thing for a cleaner to do. The front desk staff could only say sorry and said they would tell the head of housekeeping. It dented the impression of what was otherwise a perfect stay, and I have to believe it was a one-off situation.

The Ommaroo is a lovely traditional period hotel with lots of charm. The hotel has been sympathetically updated inside with modern facilities and was very clean and the rooms were spacious. We loved our stay. The continental breakfast was varied and very well presented, we had an evening meal at the hotel which was excellent. The staff were friendly but not intrusive and provided a brilliant service. We will definitely be going back to the hotel and highly recommend it as an excellent place to stay.

Comfy clean hotel , friendly staff and good location on main bus route Did not like wash basin in bedroom as should be in with shower and toilet. On the morning we left at 7am we had no hot water for showers and no answer on the night porters phone , VERY unsatisfactory.

A warm welcome by immaculately turned out staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Every area was spotlessly clean which is not always easy with an older property. The food was first class and not overpriced. The sea views are amazing and ever changing. I would definitely stay at Ommeroo again.

It is situated just outside St Helier which is a 15 minute stroll or a 5 minute bus ride on a very regular bus service. Staff in the hotel were extremely helpful. Continental breakfast turned out to be a hot/cold buffet breakfast which was delicious. Hotel facilities were really good. We had our Sunday evening meal in the restaurant (roast beef and Yorkshire pudding with trimmings) which was gorgeous; the gravy was so meaty and tasty. Rooms were serviced each day and housekeeping staff were very accommodating. Our experience was very positive and I look forward to returning.

This hotel was perfect for a week's holiday. It is situated on the outskirts of St Helier with beautiful views overlooking the sea and promenade from where you could walk along or even into St Helier. The hotel was clean with good service and friendly staff. Breakfast was good with the usual choices of cooked food along with juices, cereals, fruit and toast. We ate in the hotel on our first evening and the meal was excellent. My steak was one of the best steaks I have eaten and was cooked perfectly to my request. There is a car park at the rear of the hotel although we did not have a car. We used the excellent bus service to get around the island and the bus stop to go east to Gorey or to the bus station was only a short distance from the hotel.

The Ommaroo hotel was everything I had hoped for, staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. The breakfasts were amazing and so much choice from fruit, cereal, croissant, marmalade on toast and of course the cooked English breakfast. The view from our balcony over the sea, was beautiful. I cannot recommend it strongly enough and will definitely be going back again.

The hotel itself is fine but dated - there’s no air conditioning so the bedrooms are stiflingly hot. Breakfast was decent and the staff are friendly. Location next to the Lido and beach was great, and a quick bus trip or drive into St Helier. Overall… okay.

The room was lovely, overlooking the sea. The staff were absolutely fantastic. Every single one friendly and helpful, willing to give up their time from the kp to the manager. Excellent service, lovely hotel, delicious food.

In need of upgrading, very dated hotel. We had a room overlooking the car park which was noisy as the trips leave from there so lots of noise very early in the morning. The room was ok but again dated and the lady on reception wasn't very pleasant. If you don't book direct with the hotel they charge you £10 a night for parking which is a bit offensive when you've paid nearly £800 for the stay. I certainly would not choose this hotel again.

Wonderful 5 night stay. Staff amazing, Tracy, Esther, Lillian and Beatrice (Bea) and Jon. Can't remember all their names, sorry. Lovely choice at breakfast, food topped up even until breakfast finishing time. 24 hour sandwiches available, very useful. Lovely terrace to sit out on, but a pity it shut at 6pm. The terrace had only been open for 3 months, so this could change. Nice pool and gardens, and you could hire pool towels. Would I stay here again, most definitely.

Comfy clean hotel , friendly staff and good location on main bus route Did not like wash basin in bedroom as should be in with shower and toilet. On the morning we left at 7am we had no hot water for showers and no answer on the night porters phone , VERY unsatisfactory.

Great location, right across from a pier with access to the sea. Good food and kind staff. The hotel pool was only open part of the time due to weather conditions. And no beach towels were provided, so bring your own.

Lovely spacious room with sea view and great location with Howard Davies park behind and seafront freshwater pool shortcwslk. Great bus route to town and gorey and lots of great restaurants nearby. Staff very helpful. The only thing that would have made this hotel even more perfect would have been the use of Jersey dairy butter and yoghurt at breakfast but great value and a wonderful experience, thank you!

Ommaroo is right on the sea front about 10 minutes walk into the St Helier but the excellent bus service stops close by, Staff are very friendly and breakfast was lovely, Room was good and would definitely go there again

This hotel was perfect for a week's holiday. It is situated on the outskirts of St Helier with beautiful views overlooking the sea and promenade from where you could walk along or even into St Helier. The hotel was clean with good service and friendly staff. Breakfast was good with the usual choices of cooked food along with juices, cereals, fruit and toast. We ate in the hotel on our first evening and the meal was excellent. My steak was one of the best steaks I have eaten and was cooked perfectly to my request. There is a car park at the rear of the hotel although we did not have a car. We used the excellent bus service to get around the island and the bus stop to go east to Gorey or to the bus station was only a short distance from the hotel.

There was no lift to the family room 87a . This made things awkward with kids and push chairs and everything that goes with a young family . They dont have air con , although it wasnt the end of the world i was surprised especially for people who stay in july and august . Not having air con was not the end of the world as stated but not having a fridge in the room is totally unacceptable especially with babes under two who still rely on milk . The whole place is dated , it does have a great position for the beach , breakfast was good but nothing fancy , afternoon food times a joke , you never know when there serving or if its just sandwiches, no shower room to depart , theres no way this is kid or family friendly with young children , stairs at thr front , stairs at the rear , taxis will only drop at the rear because of parking out front , so thats at least 15-20 steps up stairs , Overall 4 out of 10 , should not be marketed as family or young children compatible , very disappointed and feel mislead by expedia .

Excellent, location and facilities. Food was great. We ate there for the 3 nights that we stayed as we didn't want to chance going elsewhere when it was so good there. Breakfast was also good, cooked breakfast and/or continental, buffet style so help yourself to what you want. Disturbed sleep due to mattress being a little lumpy.

It was such an astounding experience we had. The room was pretty clean and the view outside the hotel was amazing. Specially the breakfast buffet was extremely overwhelming. Fabulous hotel - stayed here before and definitely will go back. Food is so good, staff so polite and friendly, cleanliness second to none staff work so hard to keep up the high standard. View is to die for - and the beaches are so safe for all ages. Lovely quiet room too and swimming pool icing on the cake.

We stayed in Room 12, superb view of the beach and lido / sea pool. Spacious room, which was serviced daily. The staff at the hotel are extremely friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast had a wide variety of choices and was very fresh. Highly recommend
