Stayed 10 nights with my family. The hotel is in the Pigalle red light district. I was worried about the neighborhood because we were traveling with our 9 yo daughter, but the area was not a problem. There were the sex shops (had talk with her about it), but we generally felt safe walking in that area. It's ideally located for getting on the metro or exploring Montmartre. Monoprix across the street as well as many restaurants nearby. We had the triple room which was a good size with plenty of space for us. The toilet room is small and narrow and separated from the washroom/bath room. The beds were very comfortable. TV is available with French cable. A/C worked well and quiet. We had a mini bar refrigerator and electric kettle. The noise level was low as we were facing a side street. Unfortunately we didn't have an Eiffel Tower view from our room. Service was very good. Entrance to the hotel requires ringing in, but we had no problems with waiting to get in. Convenient to have an elevator. Overall an excellent property that suited our needs well.

L'hôtel est bien situé et propre mais la climatisation était défectueuse et il n'y avait pas de ventilateur suffisant pour toutes les chambres. Il était impossible de laisser la fenêtre ouverte la nuit à cause du secteur très bruyant. Même avec une chambre donnant sur la cour (rue arrière), les nombreuses terrasses environnantes laissent monter le bruit constant et les odeurs de fumée de cigarette.

We had a fantastic stay at Le Chat Noir in Paris. The staff were friendly, and check-in and check-out were smooth. Even though we expected a boutique-style hotel, it exceeded our expectations. Our Room 604 was very comfortable with an unobstructed view of the Eiffel Tower — watching it sparkle at night was unforgettable! With the windows open, we could hear some street noise, which wasn’t surprising given the hotel’s proximity to the Moulin Rouge, but we actually enjoyed it as part of the lively Parisian atmosphere. With the windows closed, the room was quiet. The building felt very secure, as entry required buzzing in and using a key card to access our floor. There was always someone available at reception 24/7, and we appreciated having a safe in the room. Breakfast (7–11 a.m.) was excellent, with a bright dining area and a wide selection — hot eggs and sausages, cold cuts, cheese, pastries, cereals, yogurt, juices, and great coffee and tea options. The location was perfect, close to 3 metro stations, walkable to Montmartre, and surrounded by plenty of restaurants. We loved our stay and would highly recommend Le Chat Noir!

We enjoyed our stay here. It’s a relatively no-frills hotel - there’s not much of a “lobby” on the ground floor, you have to take the elevator up one floor to get to the check-in desk and breakfast room. The rooms were small but very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was nice and updated and the shower was actually pretty large. The staff were always polite and accommodating whenever we needed to interact with them. The air conditioning worked well enough and kept us comfortable for our July visit, but just know that it’s not at the level of “American-style” AC where you can get it blasting cold in there… It was probably in the mid-70’sF in our room when we had it set to the coldest setting. We loved the location - right in the middle of all the Montmartre nightlife with good proximity to the Metro - but as some others have mentioned, be forewarned that there are a lot of sex shops and strip clubs along this stretch, which might give you pause if you’re traveling with kids or have hangups about that sort of thing. (The area felt extremely safe and we always saw lots of people out and about, even late, so that definitely wasn’t an issue.) Overall we were very happy with our stay and would visit again!

The room was nicely decorated and very clean. The shower was one of the nicest I've seen in a hotel. Staff was friendly, though they were unable over a period of two days to print documents I needed because they were out of ink. The walls are thin and we were awoken multiple nights by people returning to their rooms very late at night. The location is within walking distance of many restaurants and shops. If you'll be staying with kids, you might want to know that many of those shops are sex shops. The Pigalle metro stop is just a few blocks away for easily getting around the city.

I think this hotel looks more like a motel since the front door is right next to a pole dancing place and there was a hallway that led to the elevator where there was a sign directing you to the lobby which was not at the entrance, but on the second floor in front of the elevator in a very small area of \u200b\u200babout 5'x5'. The hallways and elevator were also very narrow. At night the area around didn't feel safe, the noise from people on the street and cars could be heard clearly inside the room. The day I arrived, after checking in and paying, they informed me that the A/C was broken but that they were already fixing it and I was supposed to have A/C at night which did not happen. The next morning I asked and they said that it was supposed to be fixed that morning which did not happen. I had to sleep with fans that they lent me and they didn't fix the A/C until the next afternoon. The hotel felt like a sauna. I had a bad impression of Paris. There are some things that are very important when visiting new countries, the security and peace of mind that we are going to stay in a place to sleep where we do not have to worry that something bad can happen. I have used Expedia several times to make arrangements when I am going on a trip, and most of the time I have been right, but this time it was not like that. Total disappointment with this hotel.

We will 100% be back. This was such a lovely little hotel. The staff were super hospitable. Nicest gentleman at reception. Rooms are huge! Very clean, adorably decorated. And very comfy.

Room was filled with mould. Dirty floors & balcony didn’t have any cover so couldn’t use it due to bad weather. Paid extra for the balcony room possibly Eiffel Tower view but the buildings blocked it.

De ansatte var hyggelige og flinke så det dro opp, men det var ellers veldig mye med hotellet som dro ned. Lite utvalg til frokost og pulver-eggerøre, litt skittent rom, slitt og mørke korridorer og alt ble maskert med en litt sterk duft-spray.

Booked 2 rooms for a 3 night stay with my parents for my birthday. Photos looked good on Hotels.com but in reality the Chat Noir is very shabby and in a grungy part of town wedged between sex shops and peep shows. Neither room was anything like the boutique styleas suggested in photos. Cheap lino floor, dirty fixtures, chipped paint, worst of all was my bed had blood on the pillow and pubic hairs in the sheets. The shower head had limescale and toilet roll holder was coming off the wall. The room was dirty and I chose not to have it serviced because I ended up cleaning it myself. The walls are thin, and the roadside location on Blvd Clichy is very noisy with traffic. The air con and heating didn’t appear to work at all. We chose not to have breakfast because it was expensive so can’t comment on that. At night before entering you walk past a sex show theatre and you’re accosted to go in. Last night there were drunk girls stood in the porch of the hotel entrance making it more difficult to enter. We loved Paris, but 100% will never stop at the Chat Noir again. The hotel was by far the worse experience of the trip. Certainly not suitable for elderly parents. Avoid.

Could not have hoped for a better stay. Comfortable room with great facilities. I had expected a small, noisy room in Paris but it was spacious and quiet even though in a very handy location. Check in/out was simple and fast. Would definitely stay again

Proximity to the metro was great. Also within the Montmartre neighborhood. However, it’s on a very busy street. The room was quite warm and stuffy, and having a window open overnight isn’t an option because the street below is too noisy.

I enjoyed my stay at Hôtel Le Chat Noir. The building itself felt very safe and the staff made me feel very welcome right away. They were able to store my luggage and even had my room ready a few hours early! The room was very clean and nice, the bed was very comfortable. The aesthetic of the hotel itself was very cool. It was super convenient that the hotel is located next to two metro stations and on a major street corner, so it was very easy to get around using public transport or a taxi. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Paris, and I would likely stay here again.

The staff on my initial arrival was great however, on my last night there a person who said they were the receptionist banged on my door for us being too loud and created a whole situation when it could’ve been remedied more smoothly by a gentle volume warning, but it was everything but that. Very loud, a bit aggressive, and then apologetic, threatening a little, but overall, I got what I paid for, and the location was centralized, which I really loved.

The front desk staff were AMAZING! I hope the hotel owners realize how much they can make/break someone's trip and those 2 guys really went over and beyond to make it great! Clean rooms, on the small side but with everything you'd need. Beds were very comfy.

I stayed 4 nights with my wife at Hotel le Chat Noir. I would recommend the hotel if you want to be close to Montmatre area. Few minutes away from the Cathedral and a couple of blocks away from really good restaurants. The hotel is next to the Moulin rouge and it has like 3 different metro station in really close. The rooms were nice and decent. Night clubs and bars around the hotel keep people in the streets always so is safe to walk around.

Gatan är full av sexshops, vilket är bra att veta ifall man har barn med sig. Rummet var rent och sängen skön. Tunna väggar dock! Frukosten var fin och fräsch.

I went on a solo trip as a young black female and it was so pleasant and safe - you can’t access rooms if you don’t have a key. Andre and Ayman were EXTREMELY helpful and can’t wait to see them again! We had an excellent stay at Hotel Le Chat Noir. The air conditioning was very welcome after a long and hot day in Paris. The room for 3 people was nice and roomy. We didn't really hear the traffic outside and had a good night sleep. The staff was welcoming and helpful. We were able to leave our bags on our last day, which was great. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Would recommend!

The room was clean, the staff was fantastic and the breakfast had a great selection. The AC was great but would take a little while to effectively cool our room. Our room was on the 6th floor and had an Effiel Tower view. Rumor has it the 8 floor has an even better view of the tower. Our friend on 2nd floor said she could hear street noise but it wasn't enough to be an issue. Be mindful that the main street area may seem seedy but that really isn't the case. It's a great hotel in a prime location with acesss to the rest of Paris via the train station and bus stops right across the street. We had dinner at the restaurant with the same name multiple nights and food was delicious. Lots of local bars and restaurants in the streets behind the hotel. Booked because of the price, and was pleased with everything the hotel offered and provided. Definitely would stay there again.

Our room was on the 6th floor and had an Effiel Tower view. Rumor has it the 8 floor has an even better view of the tower. Our friend on 2nd floor said she could hear street noise but it wasn't enough to be an issue. Be mindful that the main street area may seem seedy but that really isn't the case. It's a great hotel in a prime location with acesss to the rest of Paris via the train station and bus stops right across the street. We had dinner at the restaurant with the same name multiple nights and food was delicious. Lots of local bars and restaurants in the streets behind the hotel. Booked because of the price, and was pleased with everything the hotel offered and provided. Definitely would stay there again.

The Hotel including the rooms smell like an ashtray. The power in our room went out twice the first time it was resolved fairly quickly the second time was the morning of checkout and nobody ever fixed it. Remember this is an Adult area so I wouldn’t recommend bringing kids.
