Super disappointing. I booked two nights to stay here in May. When I arrived the place was under reconstruction for the pool and no facilities were available- NO POOL in summer! I expressed my disappointment and the manager said he will refund me 1 night if I stay one night. I agreed and gave them a hand written complaint AND my bank details. I have been chasing the refund for the second night for months!! Now they are ignoring my messages and I haven’t received anything. Do not stay here.

Pool was being worked on for most of our stay and although there is an elevator they do not allow usage of it. We had to carry lots of luggage to the 3rd and 4th floor. Due to the mishap of the pool we were offered rooms with Jacuzzis so that was nice. Do not recommend this hotel for older people as there is a nightclub next door and the music is blasting until about 3 am, it didn’t bother us but I could see it being a nuisance to other people. Location is awesome as it is literally right next door to La Quinta Avenida. Overall had a good stay, and staff was friendly.

Nice staff. The hotel really needs an upgrade.. Rust everywhere and chalk in the shower. The showerdrain was clogged, but they fixed it. Cleaning was not so good either, black long hairs in the corners on the floor and in the bed. Very noisy neighbourhood (our mistake for not checking this). But it is in the middle of 3 bars. The pool area is not recommended, the pictures in the add is totally mistaken. Dirty pool and filled with chalk around the whole pool. The poolshower is also disgusting. Nice hotel front area and reception, but that was it.

Our stay at carribean was with mixed feelings. The hotel service was good when asking the personel. We experienced an overall neglected hotel by the pool especially and they were renovering a new elevator. The pool area was not clean in the Morning. Because of heavy rain the hotel was dripping in water resulting in guests slipping from the stairs. Also the hotel is situated just above a bar playing loud Music until 1.30am. But this is of course Playa del Carmen. The bar by the pool was also closed. A lot of smell Coming from the drains in the room.

This property has a wonderful location, right on the corner of 5th Avenue and walkable to the beach and a variety of restaurants. In turn, it can be a little noisy at the night but it didn’t really bother us. The hotel is kept very clean and the decor is charming. We had a wonderful massage at the Spa. Karen at the front desk was very nice, she helped us book our massage and taxis, she gave us information and offered us discounted buffet and beach club. We did try the buffet and it was pretty good. Overall, I would return to this location.

The hotel has stopped using elevator and guests need to climb up to the rooms. Loud due to adjacent bar until 3 AM Stairs have no hand rails for safety. Parking garage is extremely small. If you use it ask for help. Location is excellent. Quality of food below average is the fife different restaurants we went. Playa Del Mar is nice but prices are way too higher than California

Lo que no nos agradó es que nos tocó hospedarnos en el último piso y no cuenta con elevador, el Estacionamiento es demasiado caro para ser subterráneo y además es todo un rato poder entrar y salir ya que es muy pequeño el acceso, fuera de eso estaba limpio y la estancia cómoda pues sus camas Y almohadas son suaves

Estaban en medio de una remodelación , los trabajadores desde las 8:00am o antes con el taladro a todo lo que da y golpes fuertes , la gente que andaba soldando todo el humo se metía al cuarto , nunca limpiaron la alberca , nunca avisaron que iba a haber trabajos de reparación y era muy incómodo pasar por el área donde estaban trabajando y todo el hotel olía mal ( A drenaje) lo único rescatable la señorita d e limpieza del cuarto impecable su servicio ,

what i thought was very unique about this property was they had various teas downstairs that were very good then when they would bring new towels they would be animals ! i also thought it was so cool that they had hammocks and chair swings part of some rooms. what i didnt enjoy very much was the bathrooms were not as clean as i wouldve felt comfortable in and sometimes i would find a few bugs but it is mexico. Definitely worth it for your money! i would not suggest a room by the pool because it is open to all the hotel so you may wake up with people swimming outside your window!!

No es muy adecuada para ir en familia, hay demasiado ruido en los alrededores y las ventanas no son aislantes. Las toallas no las cambian todos los días, y el baño tenía un olor a desagüe. No hay parqueo del hotel y en recepción se tardan en resolver o contestar

El personal muy atento y muy amable en todo momento. Sin embargo referente a las instalaciones empezaré por comentar lo incomodo del colchón que no me permitió descansar correctamente pues de verdad era muy incomodo, también le vendría bien una silla en el cuarto ya que la cama es alta y hasta para ponerse los zapatos es un poco incomodo hacer todo en la cama. Encontré algunos detalles de limpieza que deberían de revisar en algún plan de limpieza profunda unas 2 veces al mes. Las cortinas estaban sucias, la tina de hudromasaje tenía moho verde en las rejillas y las mesitas de noche están un poco desniveladas y en ocasiones cuando colocaba algo se deslizaba hasta el suelo. La alberca igual le falta un poco más de limpieza en el agua y en algunas de las paredes de la piscina había un poco de moho. Lo bueno.. el baño está espacioso, el aire acondicionado excelente, la vista desde el balcón y apesar de la limpieza de la tina de hidromasaje, después de limpiar un poco las rejillas para que la pudiera usar, fue una experiencia agradable. Esta en un buen punto de la ciudad, lo malo es que todos los días hay evento en la 5ta avenida y pues el ruido permanece hasta las 3 am prox así que entre el colchón incomodo y el ruido a veces es difícil descansar a menos que estés super cansado y al despertar un poco de dolor de cuerpo jajaja. Pero puedo rescatar lo bueno

Für 1-2 Tage ok aber nicht länger. Lärm von 2 Clubs nebenan bis 3 Uhr nachts jede Nacht. Musik so laut als ob man selbst im Club ist . Pool viel zu klein und sieht nicht sauber aus. Kein Aufzug vorhanden also Koffer muss man selbst in die 2-3 Etage schleppen. Putzfrauen und Personal sehr freundlich und bemüht. Raucherecke an der Rezeption. Hotel veraltet , Fotos sind wohl nach der Renovierung entstanden. Abfluss stinkt unerträglich . Bettwäsche und Handtücher sauber . Hotel aber Sehr hellhörig. Man weiß wann der Nachbar duscht oder auf Toilette war.

On 4th flr w/luggage - dark and spoky 2nd flr w/ construction - key did not open the door, maid told us to remove the pad batteries and reinstall to reset it.That's when we noticed that they had removed the pad cover to expose the batteries for this purpose -Inside the room the sliding door did not lock -Shower head was broken so the water shot out in a gash like a water fall and trickled at the center. -Water pooled on the side so you would have to walk through the dirty water once you were done showering -Their body wash made the bathroom smell like sewer (we used our own but the smell filled the room with the horrible odor) -no blow dryer -the bed was on a platform which drooped on one side, my wife had to sleep more towards the center forcing me to the other edge -Bed had no cover, no blanket, just 1 sheet - AC was inadequate, and circulation was bad - room was dirty with crums of food - The first night we were so exhausted from the day's activities that we fell asleep, even with the music outside, but the second night which was a Friday the music was turned up to a whole new level.Club was directly under our room and literally did not stop until 3:30am...then all of the people yelling, cleaning glass bottles crashing, and aluminum cans being crushed until 4am.We had to leave. We were told we'd get a credit for the nights we didn't stay along with the parking fee.Then they declined once we were back home. No rest at all. Do not recommend.

We booked the master suite but it was average at best. The room needs modernising in-terms of decoration and furniture. The room had 2 balconies but both were very small. One of the patio doors wouldn’t open until maintenance repaired it. The other lock on the patio door was broken. The room didn’t come with any basic facilities ie hairdryer, coffee maker or iron although it did have a safe. There was a hammock in the room which completely split the room in half, you either had to stride over it or climb under it to get to the bathroom. The hammock couldn’t be taken down. There is a full glass bathroom door so there is no privacy whatsoever. The location of the hotel is great and directly on 5th Ave. With that said it is directly above Bar Loco which plays loud music until 2AM and is very loud in the room even with all patio doors shut. The staff were helpful apart from the fact that at check in we were informed that breakfast was included. The following day we were told it wasn’t included but as far as I could see there was not a dining facility at the hotel!! The hotel also has no elevator. All in all I would say if you have children then I would not recommend the hotel due to the noise. The location is great and the staff were all friendly.
We booked the master suite but it was average at best. The room needs modernising in-terms of decoration and furniture. The room had 2 balconies but both were very small. One of the patio doors wouldn’t open until maintenance repaired it. The other lock on the patio door was broken. The room didn’t come with any basic facilities ie hairdryer, coffee maker or iron although it did have a safe. There was a hammock in the room which completely split the room in half, you either had to stride over it or climb under it to get to the bathroom. The hammock couldn’t be taken down. There is a full glass bathroom door so there is no privacy whatsoever. The location of the hotel is great and directly on 5th Ave. With that said it is directly above Bar Loco which plays loud music until 2AM and is very loud in the room even with all patio doors shut. The staff were helpful apart from the fact that at check in we were informed that breakfast was included. The following day we were told it wasn’t included but as far as I could see there was not a dining facility at the hotel!! The hotel also has no elevator. All in all I would say if you have children then I would not recommend the hotel due to the noise. The location is great and the staff were all friendly.

Clean room great staff amazing location !! But … if you want quiet this is not the place for you .. I’d definitely book this place again but the price reflects the noise till about 2 am .. then quiet .. so if your an early riser this is not for you

We were there for 2 nights and we are very thankful with the staff that helped us change rooms on our second night. On our first night they gave us room 101 and it was just terrible, this room is not fit to be rented and should just be torn down, we could hear hard sounds of water coming down the pipes all night and it was impossible to sleep, this combined with all the noise and music coming in from the outside it was just awful, we did not sleep the first night, it was just impossible. Thank God that on our second night we were given different rooms and they were better and we are very thankful with the staff for this assistance.

I stayed in room 301 The internet never worked, when I complained they told me that she was the only one (talking later with other guests, the same thing happened) The elevator doesn't work, I asked for a room change now. El personal muy atento y muy amable en todo momento. Sin embargo referente a las instalaciones empezaré por comentar lo incomodo del colchón que no me permitió descansar correctamente pues de verdad era muy incomodo, también le vendría bien una silla en el cuarto ya que la cama es alta y hasta para ponerse los zapatos es un poco incomodo hacer todo en la cama. Encontré algunos detalles de limpieza que deberían de revisar en algún plan de limpieza profunda unas 2 veces al mes. Las cortinas estaban sucias, la tina de hudromasaje tenía moho verde en las rejillas y las mesitas de noche están un poco desniveladas y en ocasiones cuando colocaba algo se deslizaba hasta el suelo. La alberca igual le falta un poco más de limpieza en el agua y en algunas de las paredes de la piscina había un poco de moho. Lo bueno.. el baño está espacioso, el aire acondicionado excelente, la vista desde el balcón y apesar de la limpieza de la tina de hidromasaje, después de limpiar un poco las rejillas para que la pudiera usar, fue una experiencia agradable. Esta en un buen punto de la ciudad, lo malo es que todos los días hay evento en la 5ta avenida y pues el ruido permanece hasta las 3 am prox así que entre el colchón incomodo y el ruido a veces es difícil descansar a menos que estés super cansado y al despertar un poco de dolor de cuerpo jajaja. Pero puedo rescatar lo bueno

This was our 2nd time staying at this property. It’s a wonderful property & we will continue to book this property for the next times we visit Playa Del Carmen. It does sit on top of a nightclub so it can be loud, the wifi can be unstable, & there is no elevator but for the rooms, location, & price it’s definitely worth it.

- no elevator. On 4th flr w/luggage - dark and spoky 2nd flr w/ construction - key did not open the door, maid told us to remove the pad batteries and reinstall to reset it.That's when we noticed that they had removed the pad cover to expose the batteries for this purpose -Inside the room the sliding door did not lock -Shower head was broken so the water shot out in a gash like a water fall and trickled at the center. -Water pooled on the side so you would have to walk through the dirty water once you were done showering -Their body wash made the bathroom smell like sewer (we used our own but the smell filled the room with the horrible odor) -no blow dryer -the bed was on a platform which drooped on one side, my wife had to sleep more towards the center forcing me to the other edge -Bed had no cover, no blanket, just 1 sheet - AC was inadequate, and circulation was bad - room was dirty with crums of food - The first night we were so exhausted from the day's activities that we fell asleep, even with the music outside, but the second night which was a Friday the music was turned up to a whole new level.Club was directly under our room and literally did not stop until 3:30am...then all of the people yelling, cleaning glass bottles crashing, and aluminum cans being crushed until 4am.We had to leave. We were told we'd get a credit for the nights we didn't stay along with the parking fee.Then they declined once we were back home. No rest at all. Do not recommend.

Nos encantó la propiedad! Fuimos a festejar nuestro aniversario y hay muchos restaurantes cerca. Hay algo de ruido debido a los bares cerca de la propiedad pero nosotros no tuvimos inconveniente con ello. Pero si eres alguien que no tolera el ruido, tal vez deberías considerarlo. La atención del personal es excelente! Nos sentimos bienvenidos desde el inicio.

Reserve una habitación y cuando llegue no estaba disponible me dieron una habitación. Que según ellos era más cara que la que yo había rentado y nada horrible y me cambiaron a otro que tenia el jacuzzi adentro de la habitación .... Nada que ver con lo que yo rente ... Lo único bueno es la ubicación.. y el personal .. todos muy amables

On our third night, the air conditioner stopped working and it took more than 2 hours for them to find a new room for us. We had to change twice (because the air conditioner of the first room they changed us was also not working). We paid for the big room with the tub inside and the room they changed us to was the smaller one without the tub. They did not offer any discount or coupon. Also, the elevator was not working any day we were there. The staff is friendly but it took a long time to resolve our problems.

I was so unsatisfied and upset with this hotel that out of my 5 night stay I ended up staying 1 night and asked for a refund for the other 4! (I had to book a last min hotel nearby) So I didn't get the room I booked through Expedia, they gave me a 1 bed when I had booked a 2 double bed, we were a family of 4. As soon as you walk in the room it's HOT inside - they don't turn the AC on for you prior to your arrival, and please keep in mind it's Playa del Carmen= heat & Humidity at high levels!! They only provide ONE roll of toilet paper so if you run out you have to wait until they clean your room or you can ask the front desk. Not enough towels!!! And the showers are built a little weird that water comes out and wets the floor. Also the sink is built weird so expect water to drip out from the bottom. The rooms are smaller than what is show in the pic, and the lighting is veryyyy dim in the rooms! Just be careful when booking this property, if you're looking for a couple honeymoon thing I guess it could work? But if it were me there are nicer hotels at roughly the same price. Definitely not family friendly, and last but not least THERE IS NO ELEVATOR. We got a room on the 3rd floor and we had quite a few luggage, so it was a pain...I wish I would have read the reviews. I'm so not a negative person, but this time I truly had to write this review because it was just too much. Hope my review helps.

The hotel was centrally located it had a spa , cafe , restaurants all around. Across the street was a shopping mall, at night the area was filled with people having dinner at restaurants and bars with live music. The best part was the friendly staff, Sofia and Alan were absolutely amazing !! Sofia and Alan warmed our hearts and made our stay at the hotel very memorable!!!

The hotel is pleasant, and humble, spacious & affordable with all the amenities. The pool was the highlight of our trip and of course the AC. It’s centrally located on 5th avenue with a variety of clubs in every corner. There is a club connected to the hotel so if you’re not here to party I suggest you stay somewhere else noise comes from all angles. Theres a club across the street as well. I can say we had an incredible stay the hotel is clean, communication is clear the workers are the sweetest and do everything to make you feel welcome. Definitely a must stay if you come to playa. So many delicious restaurants around and so close to the beach. 10 out of 10

This property has a wonderful location, right on the corner of 5th Avenue and walkable to the beach and a variety of restaurants. In turn, it can be a little noisy at the night but it didn’t really bother us. The hotel is kept very clean and the decor is charming. We had a wonderful massage at the Spa. Karen at the front desk was very nice, she helped us book our massage and taxis, she gave us information and offered us discounted buffet and beach club. We did try the buffet and it was pretty good. Overall, I would return to this location.

Esta muy cerca de la Quinta Avenida, eso te da acceso a muchas tienda, establecimientos de comida, bares. Por consiguiente hay ruido. La verdad es que si se puede dormir con el, al menor es la habitación donde yo me quede. La verdad es que e un hotel cómodo, no tiene restaurante pero tampoco es que lo necesite, por todos lados hay donde comer de todos los gustos.
Esta muy cerca de la Quinta Avenida, eso te da acceso a muchas tienda, establecimientos de comida, bares. Por consiguiente hay ruido. La verdad es que si se puede dormir con el, al menor es la habitación donde yo me quede. La verdad es que e un hotel cómodo, no tiene restaurante pero tampoco es que lo necesite, por todos lados hay donde comer de todos los gustos.

Un hotel normal, el desayuno es a partir de las 8am en un restaurante cerca del hotel, por lo que si tienes una excursión temprano no puedes desayunar. This property has a wonderful location, right on the corner of 5th Avenue and walkable to the beach and a variety of restaurants. In turn, it can be a little noisy at the night but it didn’t really bother us. The hotel is kept very clean and the decor is charming. We had a wonderful massage at the Spa. Karen at the front desk was very nice, she helped us book our massage and taxis, she gave us information and offered us discounted buffet and beach club. We did try the buffet and it was pretty good. Overall, I would return to this location.

Overall, we had a nice stay. As stated in the property amenities, there is no lift in the building so you have to use the stairs which for us was no problem as we had light luggage and we don’t mind an extra workout :) There is also correct the loud music at night from the reviews, which we solved easily with earplugs. Breakfast was limited but good. I mean there was a strict list of things which you have to choose from. Although we only had once the breakfast that the hotel offered, it was tasty. The room is exactly as stated in the pics. It was clean and the bed was comfortable.

I stayed in room 301 The internet never worked, when I complained they told me that she was the only one (talking later with other guests, the same thing happened) The elevator doesn't work, I asked for a room change now. I was on the 3rd floor with very heavy suitcases (they told me no) The breakfast included is a glass of juice, a cup of coffee (horrible), toast, 3 papaya slides, watermelon, banana- Every day the same. horrible dirty pool

The hotel has stopped using elevator and guests need to climb up to the rooms. Loud due to adjacent bar until 3 AM Stairs have no hand rails for safety. Parking garage is extremely small. If you use it ask for help. Location is excellent. Quality of food below average is the fife different restaurants we went. Playa Del Mar is nice but prices are way too higher than California

We loved our stay, the location is great. The mall is in front of the hotel, the beach, the restaurants, coco bongo are walking distance. We just didn’t liked the bathroom, the water was salty, and it smelled weird. Besides that the bed were comfortable, the view, pool and other amenities were great. The breakfast needs more variety we ate eggs for 3 days straight 😭 and bread, the coffee and OJ was awful.

Esta muy cerca de la Quinta Avenida, eso te da acceso a muchas tienda, establecimientos de comida, bares. Por consiguiente hay ruido. La verdad es que si se puede dormir con el, al menor es la habitación donde yo me quede. La verdad es que e un hotel cómodo, no tiene restaurante pero tampoco es que lo necesite, por todos lados hay donde comer de todos los gustos.

The property itself was very nice. All the staff was super friendly and helpful. If you have a little ones this is not the hotel for you. The bar that shares a common wall is always thumping. Also the hotel needs a better ventilation system. It’s alway humid and muggy in the room. Make sure you take towels because the hotels policy is to change out towels every other day. And you can’t hang dry your towels on the balcony either. And drying towels in a humid and muggy room is almost impossible.

Excelente localização, mas um pouco barulhenta à noite, pois tem uma balada no primeiro andar do hotel. Fica bem próximo do comércio e de todos os pontos principais da cidade. O hotel não tem elevador e isso pode ser um inconveniente para algumas famílias. O atendimento dos funcionários foi ótimo.
