Nice place to stay, breakfast is good, nice pool, near from down town driving

In general it was clean and had great service. However the gym was dark, no water no paper towels or cleaning solution to clean equipment after use.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Wyndam Garden. Check in was smooth and all the receptionists through the week were kind and helpful. They all spoke at least a little English so we managed with communicating. The room was spotless, everything worked, including the AC. The bed was comfortable, the room was cleaned and made up every day. The swimming pool was not large, but clean and cool as it was shaded a good part of the day in February. I think we were there during a Mexican school holiday because there were quite a few families staying. That may have been the reason for the strange shortage of towels. There were a few restaurants within a short walk, we loved Don Sirloin nearby, and there was a Chaudry supermarket nearby with everything you could need. We didn't have a fridge or a safe in the room, but we could leave a few food items in the fridge at reception, and we left our passports etc. in their safe when we were outside the hotel and collected them when there. There was a tour desk in the lobby, and taxis readily available. 150 pesos anywere in the downtown zone. The main free beach, Playa del Carmen, and the small free area vccvcbbjfvcaaas dof Playcar beach And finally, the breakfast buffet was extensive, generous and delicious. It included fresh fruit, cereal and pancakes, eggs, and a variety of cooked dishes with vegetables and chicken or beef. Overall we were very hapy with pur stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay again

Saludos! Me gustaría brindarles varias sugerencias ya que durante el hospedaje en el hotel observé varios detalles de los que pueden mejorar. 1. El cuarto tenía mucho olor a humedad. 2. Deberían considerar poner una nevera pequeña ya que en mi caso andaba con una menor. Y a veces se necesita mantener artículos fríos como leche. 3. El área de la bañera no contaba con algún equipo para poner las pertenencias como jabón u otro artículo de duchar. 4. Disponer de una línea de comunicación en la habitación para preguntas generales del hotel. 5. Las máquinas del Gym no estaba en completa función. 6. El área de la piscina tenía parte del piso sobre levantado el cemento pedazos sueltos y rotos 7. El hotel es bonito pero necesita mantenimiento en los alrededores y área del bufete. Las paredes negras por lo que no daba gusto comer confiable. 8. Las toallas, algo tan importante y al parecer tienen tanto uso que ni secaban. 9. Mi habitación ofrecía dos camas Queen de las cuales una fue full y la otra Queen. 10. El baño tenía dificultad para bajar. Solo presento mis recomendaciones porque el Hotel tiene muy buena ubicación. Necesita de una buena supervisión en el área del mantenimiento como antes mencioné y por supuesto inspección. Agradecida!

We had a misfortune to stay in this hotel for a week. I was tricked by the pictures and a brand name. The reality was quite the opposite. Among the main amenities they advertise are; Daily housekeeping - in theory, yes. But the room remained rather dirty after it and so called premium bedding are old sheets that are yellow with age and nearly falling apart (same as the towels). And one day there was no housekeeping before 3PM, so we skipped it. Near the beach - if a brisk 15-20 minutes walk is near the beach then yes. Fortunately we came to Mexico to dive and also had a rental car. Restaurant and bar/lounge - there is a hall that is filled with tables where they serve a very mediocre breakfast. But otherwise there is no restaurant and no bar at all. Outdoor pool - yes, but a VERY small one. Pool bar - a structure, yes, but doesn't function. The windows do not open and you have to keep AC always on making your room smelly after a few days. The beds are not comfortable at all and the bathroom very old and unkept. I really can't find any good thing to say about the hotel apart from the nice girls at the reception. Otherwise the service doesn't exist. The Wyndham brand should be removed from this place.

El hotel tiene lo necesario si solamente vienes para estar paseando o por pocos dias o de negocios. Hace falta más opciones para comida ya que solamente hay desayuno americano buffet de 7-11 am y después ya no hay nada. Hay que salir a buscar al pueblo y cerca sólo hay restaurantes costosos o un oxxo.

Nice staff, very clean

This place only provided 2 old and dirty towels. The room smelled like rotten eggs. I had to stay out for most of the time. Staff was rude when I asked to send me a clean towel. She said you only get 2 towels. No standard for American hotels. Very low quality and service.

Estuvimos en el hotel 2 dias y el segundo dia salimos todo la tarde esperando que al llegar estuviera limpia y nos encontramos que la habitación estaba igual como la dejamos

El hotel olía mucho q humedad. De hecho las sábanas y cobijas de ambas camas estaban súper humedas. Las cortinas de las regaderas igual olían a humedad y se estaban oxidando de la parte metálica.

La propiedad bonita pero en lompiezas muy mal a nuestra llegada cama con mucho cabello entre las sabanas y plan de cama ban̈o con pelo dentro dela ducha y en tapa de wc tambien regularmente peko en toda la habitacion. Ponen cafe y no hay tazas para prepararlo la habitacion con mucha humedad y siendo una suite tambien por otro lado las sabanas rotas y manchadas con ruedas amarillas la verdad necesitan mejorar en la calidad de limpieza dentro dela suite. Por otro lado la alberca muy bonita pero tiene detalles de mantenimiento len algunaa zonas dela alberca se aprecian azulejos levantados en varias partes ahorita por que agarramos de promocion la habitacion pero pagar una tarifa asi por su precio que es la calidad del.servicio no esta bueno

La limpieza y el lugar es bueno pero lamentablemente me toco una habitacion con chinches que me probocaron una reaccion alegica, apesar de que me cambiaron de habitacion!

As soon as we open the room to the room a roach came crawling out. Then the shower was soapy and when water would be turn on, it would not drain properly. Also, for laundry you have to be on a schedule to use washer and dryer, it would be nice to have at least one washer/dryer that you don’t have to be in schedule as we didn't have the time for that. Food was edible.

Hotel limpio, aunque sus instalaciones ya estan algo descuidadas, se ve viejo, le falta pintura, baño super pequeño, algunos contactos no sirven al igual q lamparas. El desayuno incluido es bueno, solo q todos los dias es el mismo.

When we entered the lobby, the smell of mold was strong. We thought that perhaps there had been some flooding in the area, but the clerk said it was just humidity. We were assigned a room on the first floor and the smell of mold was so bad, I couldn't breathe. (I have asthma.) The clerk was apologetic and gave us a room on the second floor. That room didn't have quite as bad a smell, but there was still some odor. Upon return to the US, my CPAP machine came back reeking of mold and I had to change the filter, hose, and mask. The tank had to be bleached. We had already pre-paid and it was late, so we decided to stay. Imagine my surprise when I turned down the bed covers to discover a used tissue in between the sheets. We slept on top of the covers and in the morning took all of the linens off the bed. There were two bath towels and one hand towel for us to share. The good parts of the hotel were the front desk and breakfast staff. They were friendly and helpful. The hotel also provided 2 free bottles of water per night since the tap water was not safe to drink. That's common in that part of Mexico and the hotel made coffee, tea, and other beverages with filtered water. It could be a great hotel, but they have to clean the air system to get out the mold.

Camas húmedas vidrios con lama no dan mantenimiento se ve viejo y huele sucio

Good location. The hotel is not that far from the beach/ferry. I like that it was quiet and that it included a hot breakfast. The room was clean, beds were comfortable. The only thing I did not like was the moldy smell in my room. I brought that smell with me home :/

Aire acondicionado muy ruidoso, falta de ventilación en los cuartos (no se abre la ventana), desayuno opciones limitadas y no varían en la semana, personal muy amable, instalaciones bien.

Hotel was quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. However, the rooms do need some small updates.

It a 15 to 27 min walk to the 5th avenida. It like 10 to 13 min walk to chedraui and mcdonald's. Conviently close to collectivos to cancun and tulum 15 min walk. Only critic about this hotel is they have a mini bar for snacks at elvated prices, their is no daily managers reception, the beach offered is at a cost 500 or 600 pesos to beach clubs that are really far,no coffee or tea in common areas and no area shuttle (only taxis that charge alot ). But the rooms are renovated and beautiful, staff is so nice and meet your needs and the breakfast buffets are so yummy. They had adobe beef, green chile beef, nopal beef, hot dog casserole, pasta and potato beef stew. Aside from pancakes, cereals, breads, fresh cut fruit, qnd make your own chilaquiles. The chef is amazing and staff is constantly cleaning and placing more pans of freshly made food. Beware it the mexican locals that hog all the food or tamper with it. Like leaving it open, contaminating it by putting back what they served themselves or dropping other food when serving onto other containers . I seen turíst being more cautious with this. Like example papaya dropped into yogurt pan. Im allergic to papaya so I couldnt enjoy the yogurt.

The location of the hotel is very convenient if you want to travel around and have a rental car. In general we had a nice stay, however our room was very basic, room was nice and spacious, but lacked little amenities or services that I was expecting. To make myself clear, this is a good hotel, but has way too much room for improvement. My room was rather large in size, however we did not have a sitting area, there was only a desk and a desk chair, most hotels have a nice chair/sofa for you to sit down and get dress or relax. We did not have a safe, nor a hair dryer. We had to ask the front desk to get a luggage rack and an ice bucket. I was not expecting resort level services, but I was certainly expecting the basic amenities to get a nice sleep and the room equipped to comfortably be able to get a good night sleep, and to have the resources to cleanup comfortably and keep my valuables safe. Not so bad, but could improve.

The check in agent did his job but didn’t even smile with no personality at all. The rooms looked simple, the caulking in the bathroom was stained and shower curtain was too short causing a lot of water to splash out to the floor, the closet door was unhinged, no phone in the room to call for service. On the positive , the rooms and property were clean and the bed was comfortable, breakfast was good. Overall it was fine for a late check in & one night stay but not worth the price paid.

La primera noche nos tocó una habitación que necesitaba mucho mantenimiento en general. A partir de la segunda noche nos tocó una habitación muy linda, todo lo contrario a la anterior. El servicio de las recepcionistas durante el día es muy amable. Por otro lado, el recepcionista de la noche es un poco tajante, podría ser un poco más cálido. En general; comparando precio vs. lo que se recibe, estuvimos satisfechos, podríamos dar un 8/10 en cuestión de las instalaciones. Pero considerando el desayuno incluido en la tarifa, sería un 9/10

Fue terrible el check in, la persona no tenía la reserva en su sistema y nos hizo esperar mucho, luego le reenvié los documentos y enseñé que todo estaba pagado y aún así tardo muchísimo y cuestionó todo, tenía muy mala actitud , era un señor llamado Ruben

El check in fue ESPANTOSO, tardaron una hora en darnos la habitacion, despues de la hora estipulada, solo nosndoeron largas y al llegar a la habitacion no habia toallas, muy muy mal

Excelente relación calidad/costo, la atención fue buena, las instalaciones están muy bien. El desayuno con suficiente variedad. Buena opción en la ciudad si se busca algo económico y para la zona que ofrece muchas atracciones.

Todo estuvo perfecto y las señoritas de recepción mega amables y siempre resolviendo es un hotel que ocupe solo de base y la verdad todo estuvo muy bien los pasillos presentan un poco de desgaste en sus instalaciones lo mismo el Elevador por viejitos pero todo estuvo bien en relación Precio-Calidad

El lugar está lejos del centro de Playa del Carmen. Es un lugar para una estancia confortable. Sin embargo, tuvimos un tema con la persona de recepción de la noche, bastante detestable. Recomiendo algún curso o taller de manejo de situaciones críticas y emociones.

Walkable from the ferry for the motivated person. Budget friendly, and I got a significant discount online 2 days prior to arrival via Expedia. Staff were very helpful and let me check in early because there was another room available. They let us eat breakfast the morning we arrived and there were options that were like lunch (pasta and meat) so that was our lunch for the day (breakfast goes to 11 am). Excellent breakfast options such as eggs, pasta, meat, pastries, cereal, fresh fruit, jello, chips and toppings. Workout facility clean and has a variety of cardio and dumbbells. Rooms were a bit stark but we were just staying the night. No mini fridge.

The property is old, needs repair and modernization. The staff cannot keep up to the demand of breakfast items.

El personal de recepción debe capacitarse más en prestar mayor atención a la necesidades de los huéspedes. Demasiado, demasiado ruido! Esto quiere decir que es muy concurrido el hotel y eso es bueno. Pero no sé acata la indicación de no molestar con ruidos a los demás huéspedes. Si llevas horario del centro, CDMX, apúrate a bajar al desayuno buffet, no alcanzamos a desayunar por la diferencia de horario. Esto es, hotel lleno y el buffet se acaba

Le falta espacio para realizar muchas actividades y el desayuno está fatal siempre lo mismo y el sabor muy feo le falta sazón necesitan hacer las cosas bien recuerden que tienen que estar en medio entre el cliente y el patrón
